I WAS JUST READING ABOUT Jevon Holland safety. Is really good and projected 2nd round. If we grab Parsons or Horn in the first, I would not be upset if we took Holland in the 2nd. Would go a long way helpin out our pass defense....

I’m ready for the draft tired of the speculation now think we hit every player lol 😂... Eagles can’t really go wrong in this draft in terms of positions just need to make sure we hit on them

I agree BG93. Too many drafts come and go with all of us shaking our heads. Just once I would love the consensus to be they did a good job come May 3rd.

Granted, some of those we all think will be good, may not pan out. But that is another matter. If the pick is not a head scratcher, not a reach and a Position of need, we have to think they did their homework....

I'm reading this...  you mentioned " pick"  not picks.   I don't know if it was a conscious thing..   but I think too many fans are focused on that first pick.    To me that is an NBA thing.    For NFL teams,  it's about  ' picks"  multiple.   This particular Eagles draft,  I don't really care much about either the first pick or what any media consensus think.   I want to see some things on the field that show me we could have plugged a lot of holes and have the ability to start building a core.

Actually, I was talking about every Pick. I was analyzing each as a separate issue. I want a solid draft. To accomplish that, every pick has to have thought to it.

A grade of "B" would be SWEET!

I know we should draft for every position. I'm hoping to take a raw but talented S later and also hope the Harris fit works out to where we can sign him to another contract. IDK much about Adams, maybe he works out too. I just feel we got TWO in FA so we could (temporarily) have one position we dont need to mess with much. I like Wiggins at S as the round 5 pick. Cincy cranks out some decent players lately

We do it every year lol. Problem is Howie never checks this board and takes player on noones mock. SO find me the most overlooked/unknown/under the radar pick you possibly can and thats our 12 🤣

Look at your top 5 pass rushers.  Look at your too 5 DTs.   From that group will be your surprise pick.  Otherwise it will be a CB we already talked about or your top 5 OL.

One prospect I think they should consider at 37 is Pat Freiermuth. I think there is an excellent case to be made in drafting him.

1. He is a legit receiving threat. He may not be Pitts, but he's not a slouch in the passing game. WR is a popular pick for us at 37, so what does it matter if it is a TE instead, as long as he can be a weapon in the pass game. Plus, with Reagor, Hightower and Watkins, we have speed options, so getting a burner isn't a high priority.

2. Siriani comes from a system that used a lot of 12 personnel.

3. Goedert gets hurt a lot, and Freiermuth can be the TE1 since he is good blocker.

4. Goedert is a UFA at the end of the season. We also have several developmental guys on the roster who may pan out. So instead of paying Goedert a big contract, we could gain  a comp pick by allowing him to leave, and we have a replacement on a rookie deal.

5. There is a huuuuge dropoff between Freiermuth and the next TE. There are plenty of CBs, WRs, LBs, DEs who might be available later that compare favorably to the guys we might draft at those positions at 37. But Freiermuth is a plug and play guy. There isn't a sure thing after him.

To me, he makes a lot of sense, especially if we go corner at 12.

So again.  You bring in these elements... which really work with any QB and offense...  unless you don't like a bigger power running RB and TEs that can block?

You see how Hurts does and you go from there.   But the coach should call plays using Hurts ability to run the ball.  We kinda do know he can run,  doesn't really take top long to realize that.

You put in Flacco... still helps having a power runner and blocking TEs.... you just call different plays.

It's really not the same as changing from 3-4 to 4-3 defense when you actually have a few different positions.  It's just trying to emphasize a few things that should help the young QB early on.

I think the missed factor here is Oline. Power rushing happens behind power run blocking Oline. Basically deciding to use a Mailata type over a Dillard type. Think you have to look at C. Kelce isn’t the blow the big DT back off the line type blocker.

That’s a good move for Carolina. Now we know the Jets are taking a QB for sure. It seemed fairly obvious when the Niners traded to 3....because they obviously would have rather got up to two. So we can lock in first three picks as QB.

So you don’t like Brevin Jordan from Miami?

I would think Freirmoth a reach at 37

They worked fine power running in 2017.    Blount and Ajayi, not exactly finesse runners

Pretty much always seemed Jets and Carolina were going to trade ...either pick 2 or Darnold...  depending upon Carolina's free agency and which way the Jets wanted to go.    I actually like this better for both teams than the trades of picks 2 and 8.  Gives Carolina the option of trading down if needed now.  Teams may want to jump Denver.  Good spot to be in. Or just take the best player.

This also takes away the idea of Carolina and ATL trade.   Which lessons the chance of Chase or Pitts lasting to pick 6.

This is something fans miss when getting emotional about the trade back from 6 to 12.     Let's say we lost out on Sewell?  Not Chase or Pitts?   How does the trade back look now to those who didn't like it?

I figured NY would find a way to jettison him. IDK they still could have a shot at Lance at 8(since they didnt give that pick up), so this was a bit of a  too "early" move IMO. I suppose they still could take Lance and sort them out later lol

QB,QB,QB, Pitts to Atl, Chase to Cincy, Sewell to South Beach, maybe a WR to Detroit, which still put Caro in a position to take lance. I would, because no matter who wins the start, you have a trade object and/or a #2 QB. The only question now is does ATL pass on Pitts to take Lance? Not sure Carolina believes they will pass on lance, thus making this move, so maybe Lance to ATL? That would sure help Tua out if Pitts ends up in south beach(you know that nice spot we traded out of lol)

If I want  TE that high I will take Brevin at 70. There is not a "huge dropoff" between the 2

I hope it's Horn or Farley. We have ignored the CB and LB positions for too long

Pick 37- Etienne-RB  (lol)

I never thought Darnold was that good even in college

He's not ready to be a TE1 as a blocker. He is really bad at it. And he's bad at contested catches, which is going to be an issue at the next level. Plus, there are concerns about his measurables.

Kent Lee Platte on Twitter: "Brevin Jordan is a TE prospect in the 2021 draft class. He scored a 4.35 RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 517 out of 914 TE from 1987 to 2021. This was the opposite of what I was hoping would go down with Jordan's agis. https://t.co/2RAk5YrZY8 #RAS https://t.co/IotuTEwLnE" / Twitter

I wouldn't touch Brevin before the sixth round, and he's someone who can't play TE1 right away.

Back probs w/ Farley, hope we stay away
