Or is he the best corner in the draft

I remember when some were saying the same about Jones that he’d be up there with Lattimore had he not hurt himself prior to the draft.

He's not ready to be a TE1 as a blocker. He is really bad at it. And he's bad at contested catches, which is going to be an issue at the next level. Plus, there are concerns about his measurables.

Kent Lee Platte on Twitter: "Brevin Jordan is a TE prospect in the 2021 draft class. He scored a 4.35 RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 517 out of 914 TE from 1987 to 2021. This was the opposite of what I was hoping would go down with Jordan's agis. https://t.co/2RAk5YrZY8 #RAS https://t.co/IotuTEwLnE" / Twitter

I wouldn't touch Brevin before the sixth round, and he's someone who can't play TE1 right away.

One prospect I think they should consider at 37 is Pat Freiermuth. I think there is an excellent case to be made in drafting him.

1. He is a legit receiving threat. He may not be Pitts, but he's not a slouch in the passing game. WR is a popular pick for us at 37, so what does it matter if it is a TE instead, as long as he can be a weapon in the pass game. Plus, with Reagor, Hightower and Watkins, we have speed options, so getting a burner isn't a high priority.

2. Siriani comes from a system that used a lot of 12 personnel.

3. Goedert gets hurt a lot, and Freiermuth can be the TE1 since he is good blocker.

4. Goedert is a UFA at the end of the season. We also have several developmental guys on the roster who may pan out. So instead of paying Goedert a big contract, we could gain  a comp pick by allowing him to leave, and we have a replacement on a rookie deal.

5. There is a huuuuge dropoff between Freiermuth and the next TE. There are plenty of CBs, WRs, LBs, DEs who might be available later that compare favorably to the guys we might draft at those positions at 37. But Freiermuth is a plug and play guy. There isn't a sure thing after him.

To me, he makes a lot of sense, especially if we go corner at 12.

Seems to me we have more pressing issues than to take a project TE at 37. If we were solid everywhere else ok NP. I'm taking my project TE as my first 6 pick(Yeboah), see no need to spend a 2 or 3 on one. BTW your RAS site doesn't even list your guy

No way are we drafting a TE before the 4th round now. Pitts was the only consideration and now that isn't happening. CB. LB S, G or WR should be the choice. Possibly D-Line.

^^^ agreed with these 2 just above ... I hope we don't consider a TE before day 3.  Too many other pressing needs and should be using our high picks on projected (immediate) starters, not backups.  Goedert is young, they should extend him.

Pat Freiermuth is not much of an upgrade over Brevin. So, if you wouldn't touch Brevin before the 6th, than you really should touch either before the 5th. Pat Freiermuth had off season surgery and is slow. 4.7 something 40. He also is not NFL ready blocker, so not sure what you are looking at.

No you can't take an O line guy, because then you will get trashed because they will ask "Who are you replacing???" I tried that HAHAHA. I even suggested a C in round 3 to replace Kelce and got tagged "we already have that guy". SO the O line is set in stone my friend, you know, until we dont have one, then we can panic draft in later years. Seems we put off the S position for a bit,so for me it's LB,CB,WR,DL

Gotta consider trading one of our starters if they go Oline with either of the first two picks. Because yes.....I want these young kids getting experience. We need to accelerate this rebuilding process to the maximum.

This Oline class I really feel is the strength of this entire class.

But do we?  There was speculation that Seumalo was considered to be the heir apparent to Kelce ... by the previous coaching regime.  But they are all gone ... who knows what the new staff is thinking.  Some point to Juriga too.  We have no idea what we have in him.  He very well could be but I wouldn't say anything is set in stone yet.  Such an important position ... if we have an opportunity to add a blue chip piece there I'm definitely pulling the trigger on one.  Kelce is year to year now (TBH honest I'm surprised he didn't pack it in this offseason with all the changes), the need to identify his eventual replacement is critical.

He got a nice raise like the day his kid was born.   Last chance to make big money, he was all pro ... so I'm sure it wasn't too hard.   Without the raise, he probably leans towards retirement.

Yeah I wanted the C for OSU. COULD happen, who knows. This will be a weird draft because we really need all positions,so it will be fun to see where the staff thinks our issues are

I tend to agree that your #1 pick should start. SO the goal is to draft a #1 pick that will TAKE the job from the guy you have now.Talent, talent talent, develop, develop, develop, but first the right players need to be chosen(and that's where our past 4 years issues lie. There are some exceptions to the #1 start rule for me. That is you KNOW they will be starting the following year (such as a C or QB) otherwise I will find that position in later rounds. My round 1 needs to start or be the "heir apparent"

I was really upset with Ped changing O lines every game. There is no continuity to that, and you really can't know what you have shifting all those guys everywhere. Keep the guys where they will play.If one is weak, you can scheme to help some, but you also now KNOW where the ONE position problem is. After 14 O lines in 16 games, you don;t know diddly. I'm glad some stepped up,some not enough, maybe they are better this year? IDK the answer to that. I really hope we go CB first, because face it,we're going to have to cover some pretty nice WR's,the new kids coming in as well as the already established WR's on other teams. Loved the Harris pick-up,but him and Slay can't do this alone. IDK we need everything. I am thankful we have 11 picks and not the 5 we usually have, even if alot are day 3 BU,WIP p[icks

BTW I am not suggesting taking a C at 12,but could see us taking Myers with pick 84, but everyone keeps telling me we already have a C on the roster. COOL can we see him play?????

Just remember your "Bevin will be as good as Freiermuth" take in December. It is really easy to have strong opinions in April. But there is no way, based on what I have seen and read, that Bevin and Freiermuth are in the same universe.

Playing with mocks(again) 1-12 Horn-CB   2-37-Leatherwood-OT-Bama(yeah I know we have OT's already lol)  3-70- Tylan Wallace-WR- Ok st(he is fine,no reason to reach for  WR in this draft)   3-84 Togai- DL-OSU(youth)  4-123- Trey Sermon-RB-OSU(RBBC RB)   5-143 Monty Rice-LB Gerogia(unspectacular but solid in every facet of the game) thats as far as I got just messing around lol

If they aren't Pitts, there is no need for us to take TE that early(either one of them)

19. PHILADELPHIA EAGLES

The Eagles’ offensive line went through the wringer this past season, as they were trotting out a new starting five up front seemingly every week due to injury. Those injuries all came after they lost projected starting left tackle Andre Dillard and right guard Brandon Brooks to injury before the season began. Eleven different offensive linemen played at least 50 snaps for Philadelphia this season. It’s going to be nearly impossible for any offensive line to lose all that talent and still produce at a high level.

That said, the Eagles weren’t one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL with their makeshift group. Jason Kelce was the lone consistent presence at center for the team, and he ended the season with the third-highest run-blocking grade of any center in the league. That’s an area he has always excelled in with his ability to use his athleticism and get out in the open field.

The Eagles will hope that 2021 brings some more stability, giving whoever is back at quarterback for the offense a few more clean pockets to work from.            --------------------------PFF,so this leaves me wondering how good we are and if the injuries can be stopped and if drafting anyone high would make much difference if our guys can stay out of the mash tent. IMO I would draft more BU's(aka later rounds) with potential and sort out the BU's or maybe find a decent guy when teams make their post draft cuts

SOOOOOO how upset would everyone be if we took Etienne with the 37 pick? Like Scott, keep him as a BU. After Travis the RB's kind of fall off a bit. I know we have Sanders, but we really need a guy that could take over if he went out for any extended time. When Sanders is healthy, still gives us that 1,2 punch and could take some pressure off Hurts having to run. Thoughts???

It is fine you feel one is better than the other. Everywhere I read there is a steep drop after Pitts. I am not drafting a back up TE in round 2 with so many other pressing needs. In fact, no way I am drafting one in round 3 either. Freiermuth is not NFL ready to Pass block. He has had surgery so that is a concern. For the Eagles I would not draft anyone that has injury concerns period. He runs a 4.72 40 as compared to Bevin's 4.65.  Sorry,  I am not sold. In fact other sources say basically the same. There is a mixed opinion on these and that makes me second guess picking either one. Here is one opinion:

The most well rounded of the top three, Brevin Jordan is a better blocker than Pitts, yet a superior receiving threat than Freiermuth. He’s not elite in either facet, but above average in both. Jordan’s well-rounded talents could be the driving force for a team to make him the first tight end selected in 2021. Jordan started the 2019 season strongly, but the Miami offense struggled to move the ball to do a poor rushing attack and even poorer quarterback play.

Here's another mock you can bash  (and I'm sure you will lol)  1-12-Horn-CB   2-37-Travis Etienne-RB-Clemson    3-70- Tylan Wallace-WR-OK St.   3-84- Tommy Togai-DL-OSU   4-123-Davis Mills-QB-Stanford   5-143-Monty Rice-LB- Georgia   6-188- Kenny Yeboah-TE-Miss   6-223- Malik Herring-Edge-Georgia  6-224-Jimmy Morrissey-OG-Pitt   7-233- Mustafa Johnson-DL-Colorado  7-238- Josh Ball -OT-Marshall

Horn-starts, Etienne-plays day 1(obviously Sanders is the starter), Wallace can start opposite Reagor/Fulgham  Togai can play some rotation snaps Mills-future BU(#2) maybe more?? He's a WIP with upside. Rice-very solid in all aspects, could earn a starting job. Yeboah-nice project TE with upside. Herring can work his way into the lineup in time I believe. Morrissey, nice OG project. Johnson-WIP- DL camp competition. Ball-also a nice OT project who is a decent player on a smaller school

It depends if we draft another RB and still don’t use the ground game the seems pointless if we actually plan to be a ground team having 3 guys plus Hurts makes some sense.
