I suppose if you wanted to keep Killins for ST duty, you could but that still frees up 1 roster spot.

Anyway, just a thought. I have no idea what we are going to do. At this point I am looking at "what can I do to this year to make it easier next year" and what do I need to get in place if we are going to acquire a franchise QB in 2022?

BTW with Olsen hanging it up, Carolina would love to have Pitts at 8 if ATL passes

His retirement probably impacts the team he did play for last year (the Seahawks) more than the one he didn't (Carolina.)

Yeah, but they never found his replacement. IDK even know who they got lol. he was on the downside,so mostly a "filler" in Seattle

LMAO oh so if Siri says I want Etienne so I can run the rock you say -NAH I'll pass. OK It all hinges on the O line. if it's good enough that tandem can kick some A. and BTW Ped gave up the running game when he didn't have to. even when we had success with it,he STOPPED running

Lmao 😂 have you read any of my posts I’ve literally said from the start it depends what we want to do on O whether or not I’d take a RB high or not

Won't be the last either, no more hyped than Parsons, Chase or anyone else is. We all know it's a crapshoot. Everyone is hyped this time of year. I just look at game film and Pitts is more than a TE and I suspect he goes to ATL where he will wreak havoc on opposing defenses for 5 years

I suspect ATL is where he goes too....which means he would never have been in play for the Eagles

It is interesting to hear Mac Jones getting hyped up to SF recently... I’d think Fields or even Lance would be a dream come true in Shannies offense. Potent ground game with the added element of a QB that can run

Yeah I think they wanted Pitts or Chase and when it seemed those were not going to be there,we made the move. SO IDK if thats good or bad.We will know in a year or 2

Now that we are just over 3 weeks from draft day, I finally put together my first mock (at least through rd 6).  Happy to hear your thoughts.

R1-P12 – Jaycee Horn (CB S. Carolina)

R2-P37 – Baron Browning (LB Ohio St)

R3-P70 – Carlos Basham Jr (DE Wake Forest)

R3-P84 – Josh Myers (OC Ohio St)

R4-P123 – Kelvin Joseph (CB Kentucky)

R5-P150 – Trey Sermon (RB Ohio St)

R6-P189 – Seth Williams (WR Auburn)

R6-P224 – Tariq Thompson (S San Diego State)

R6-P225 – Kenny Yeboah (TE Ole Miss)

Yeah ATL of Fins should take Pitts. Either way he's not in midnight green,if those pass he could go to Carolina, once again he's not coming here

1st- Parsons-LB

2nd Bateman-WR

3rd Joseph- CB

3rd- Jones/Weaver one of the Pitt DEs

4th- Adebo- CB

5th- Stevenson- RB Sooners

6th- Paddy Fisher LB

6th Mustafa Johnson- DT

6th- Beyer TE- Iowa

My mock have lot of similar positions even if we like different guys lol

Like Browning alot!! I too struggled with taking Myers lol. I would personally prefer a higher WR and RB. If we're going to get a QB in 2022( we need to start stocking weapons. I like Yeboah also, but I think we would need to take him higher. Noone know WTH we are going to do this year since there are only a few spots we can let slide again. Now they are saying Denver moves up for maybe a QB. IDK but if we got Horn at least we started out ok lol. Since I gave up Browining, check out Monty Rice, who is kind of under the radar(for now). I also think we need to take a QB with some potential and not sure that guy can be a UDFA. Even if we got a franchise QB next year nice to have a #2/3 on the roster, so that's why I took Mills. In the event we find a QB then we'd still have Hurts/Mills as BU's if Flacco is a one year one and done(which we dont know that either) SO many questions on this team

Tough call here because we don't really know how good our O line is when everyone is on the field. last year didn't tell me nuttin. Still with the makeshift O line were ranked 19th O line. So I can;'t see us being any worse than that with healthy players in

But see... you always bring up ( but we don't know about our team...etc) ... if you are looking to get players to build a team...you have to look past this year.  You have to start building that team.  Doesn't really matter about the now.

The only thing that matters about the current roster... are there young players that could be potentiial players later at certain spots.  If so, then it could and should possibly have an effect on your draft.

When it comes to RB for example... we don't have a certain type. The blocker, the short yardage guy... I don't really care about Sanders or Scott or about " complimenting them"    simply I would like to get a RB with this skill set.

Personally, I can easily see a scenario where Sanders only plays for the Eagles 2 more seasons.  I'm not planning anything around him.

That said,  right now, I hope we end up getting some help on D.  Every position IMO needs long term help. The offense,  idk, you point it out,  maybe we do have OL or WRs that can be the long term answer?

LOL trolling the Carolina boards. They want an OT because they DONT trust Darnold. Most posts were Sewell/Slater,but they would take Lance if he fell to 8

Sure it matters, especially with our O line. What we saw last year was a joke. No way you know what you have with 14 groupings in 16 games. What if the same guys go down again? Of course it matters. If you don't have the confidence in them, then you'd better start replacing them. I want Ettienne and I never said as a "compliment" I want him because he is a good RB with or without Sanders. I think this year will be a 'sort them out" I hope alot of players get a chance to play, not just in camp, but in real games. With the lame QB play we had, I have no clue how good our WR's are. Having ZERO with 500 yards doesn't sound too hot to me. Was that the QB play or are they just "mediocre? IDK. I suppose we lean on Ertz and find out what else we have

I don't think they wanted skill position at 6.   The trade down allows them to take one if either falls...  but also puts them at better value to take CB or DL or even OL, which are the positions they prioritize and have not drafted recently.

Oh I think they wanted 1 of those 2 and now the "set up" for a QB next year is already in place. Either getting a FA like Wilson or using those picks for a top draft talent. If Hurts smokes it,all the better, but this seems to me like Howie doing a CYA

Ok...tell me what happens if the old guys go down again?

Does it change the parade plans for next February?   Maybe it changes where we pick in the draft by a few slots?

Overall big picture...tell me, what happens to the future of the Eagles ...if in 2021, Lane, Brooks and Dillard don't play?

I think you and some fans wanted one of those 2.   I don't think the Eagles front office was going to select an offensive weapon at pick 6.

IDK because I don't know what we have. You can't book anything off last year

No way to know either way

BTW.. . What does common sense tell you.   Wentz totally forgot how to play, and he was the issue...  but the crap that you just mentioned wasn't?

We have young WRs.  It was year 1, they have room to grow and learn.  They could be better.   So could the OL.  Just that last year it wasn't going to work with so many guys playing their first ever NFL snaps. And not going to work with guys practicing all week and then getting hurt during games.

The only thing I take from last year are the ages of the players.   Do we have young guys that might be able to play at certain spots.  They get their chance this year.
