IDK,I hope we have a PLAN,because we will need a new C very soon.I'm fine with this stop gap move. The issue then becomes C and LG next year if Brooks is ready to go,then of course if JP is out we will need another RG

I mean... if I want to come back to play at his age.  I want to play with my friends in a position that is easier set up for me to excel.    IDK, to me just seems playing next to Lane is more so that situation than playing LG.   He can still mentor Dillard in film watching and as they watch the tablet on the sidelines...etc.  As far as making himself look better, I would think he would want to play RG?   I know I would if I was him in this situation.

But to your argument... since G is easier to transition from side to side... and Isaac has already had experience playing RG in college etc... those are points you can make for Peters playing LG.   I still just don't think they make multiple moves to start, much easier to keep it all the same IMO.   But we can see how it works out and perhaps they switch.  But I would think the sell to Peters would be to come play for Brooks between Kelce and Lane.  To go dominate one side, to have a lot of speed and agility on one side as far as what they can do in blocking schemes.   The left side allure of mentoring Dillard ... wouldn't seem to be something to inspire Peters.. its really a one way benefit that fans could look at, more so a burden for Peters.

Agreed. As I said I think we want the power right run game.Even at G though if Dillard has a question or needs some help JP can give it

You mean Brooks will be the RG

Also it covers us in the event Dillard goes down or is a disaster

Yeah next year, the we can either keep JP and move him left,or just let him walk again. We would still need BU's for both OG spots unless you think Pryor and Seu can handle the position

Yep... I see Peters going to LT and the big guy who filled in last year slide in at RG.   All this, it's why I would think Isaac stays at LG.  Moving people all around will happen enough with injuries, not sure it makes sense to start off with musical chairs.

Doug and power run game????? All the new coaching staff added shows me we wont be seeing a power run game.

You have to remember this is the same coach who keeps running the ball to the weak side to try and "confuse" the defense. yep run stopped for a loss shows me he confused the crap out of them.

I have high hopes for Opeta.Pryor is ok Seu worries me a little bit,so this was a good move until we know what we have

Why not? Sanders could be a beast and with rook WR's and we can't say how long Djax or Alshon will last,I can very much see us running the ball

We also have that "option" QB now,so yeah I can see the run right game especially now that we beefed the line with JP.Could also use him as a QB run right option here

Because Frank is no longer on the Eagles coaching staff to talk some sense into Doug. You have Marty now who is a pass happy coach along with Doug. Will the run? Of course, but this team will be a passing scheme team.

That depends. Will DJax be good? Will Alshon return to form, will the rooks produce? I don;t think we should count on that until we see.The run game is your bread and butter and we now have the QB run right option player

We had no WRs in 2019 and still the Run game was not our bread and butter. Doug is bull headed and honestly a horrible OC. Good HC, but horrible game planner, play designer etc. I don;t see him changing based off the coaching staff they hired.

IDK,I looked at the roster.Reagor/Hightower/Hurts is not signed yet? or are they behind on updates?

UH if we had no WR's what was our bread and butter?

He still passes the ball. His normal dink and dunk passing game. 613/454(58/42%) pass run ratio. 5.4/4.3 yards per avg(pass/run). I like the run yards per avg which pissed me off everytime he went away from the run. 5.4 is a rap pass avg. Somewhere in the low 6 range is pretty good. Doesnt sound like a big difference but it is. Doug needs a guy like Frank in there that will speak up and take over certain areas of this offense.

I agree, i love the run game and I wish Doug would get it. But every game we say run the ball and when he does we gain nice yards but Doug always goes away from it. Doesnt help that he play calling and sheme(dink and dunk) just suck and is why we are one of the worst teams in the NFL in first half points scored in 2016,18,19. When Frank was given the game planning, scripting in 17 we were the number 1 team in first half points scored. That stat is very telling.

Haven’t seen JP at G. Don’t even know if he can do it. He’s had back problems. Not sure how bending all the way over with a hand in the dirt helps that situation. We just couldn’t walk away from Peters. Feels distracting to me....for Dillard. Each time Dillard screws up won’t the fans be calling for Peters? We could have signed the Saints G. That seemed like the best call to replace the G position.

Warford is 29....thought he made more sense. If you had to add.

Could be a much higher price for Warford. JP is 6 mill tops with the incentives, Im sure the final pay out will be less. Warford Im sure is asking for 10+ min.

Warford is a top G in his prime. But he’s still on the street. Never seen Peters play G. Does anyone think Peters can play more than 9 games this season? Exactly.

My "shock pick up"- Everson Griffin (overshadowed by Clowney and Yannick)

I never said we would run 90% run plays,I said it was our bread an butter.Obviously you try to get everyone involved. You have to dink and dunk when you have PS WR's and 2 top TE's. More important to me is move the chains and score when you get there.I dont care how you get there.Dink and dunk and get 1st downs and you control the game clock :).I love the flash and splash plays as much as anyone, but you work with what you have

Hmm could work both ways right? maybe this motivates Dillard to work a little harder? I still doubt fans would call for him, unless there is an injury,We know JP is old now,the ankles have been worn out, being at G helps that. The Eagles let him go so he could find out what we knew,he is too old to play OT.He is still strong and the Eagles wouldn't take him just to take him

I like Warford too.I think Griffin would be a nice add for our D line.He has 1-2 years left IMO.

Doug has dinked and dunked 3 out of his 4 years coaching. 16,18,19. Only 1 year he didnt was when he wasnt calling all the shots in 17. Thats my point. Unless Doug is giving up a lot, Im expecting the same as 16,18,19. Our WRs are still question marks. Doug sadly is Doug. Lets hope he comes to his senses like 2017 and goes with the more balanced offense and fresh plays to move the ball more the a 5 yard avg. But until I see him change, i have to expect more of the same from him.

yeah, but we never had a deep threat.Djax was one,but he didnt last long. Now with him and Reagor,we will see if things change.I suspect after those years with no WR's(to speak of) Wentz is antsy to air it out
