Teams trade #1 picks for tackles all the time. We did to get Peters. Tunsil was worth two #1 picks.

Sewell is apparently a prospect on that level.

Yes, but you are talking moving down 9 spots in a draft to get a tackle when they can grab the 2nd best ranked Tackle if they stay put. I can see them trading away a first round pick to grab a tackle but not trade down 9 spots to do so. Not when they can upgrade and not lose a 1st rounder by staying put. Besides, I think Atlanta stays put anyway. They either grab Pitts or a QB of the future. They most likely will not be in this position again to grab a solid QB, so I feel they will do so now.

Joe pointed out a very legit view that no one really knows for sure how some of these players will do. With much less film to grade talent on I can see teams grabbing players they know will do well instead of taking chances on another. So why would Atlanta trade back when they can grab a known talent that is most likely a sure thing?

I just realized that my worse nightmare may actually come true now..... Only we draft Farley round 1 and someone else round 2.....

I don't see them drafting Pitts. They have Jones for two more years, Ridley, Gage and Hurst. Out of that group, who do you want to put on the bench for Pitts? As far as a QB, you are sitting a guy for two years because Ryan's reworked contract pretty much ensures he is your qb for that time span. Imagine a scenario where everything falls your way, the rest of the conference stinks, you have no serious injuries and all of your young players do really well, and you get to the NFC championship game and lose. Now you have to wonder if spending the pick on a backup qb instead of a top position player was the right move, i.e. the 2020 Packers.

I would place all of them on the bench before Pitts, But Pitts is a TE so no need to. Jones is getting older so chances are he does not play a full schedule. Hurst is not even close to what Pitts can do.

LOL Pitts is a dual threat receiver. I'm sure they will find ways to use him

QB,QB,QB, Pitts, Chase, Sewell is how I see the top 6

Fins could also go WR I suppose and get a lineman in 2

NC vs FL. To renew your plate in FL is $61.00 for my car(no inspection). In NC it's $325.00 and requires an annual inspection($30.00). FL-2 NC-O I have a bike too and that has to go to a separate inspection site. WHEEEE!!!(NC sucks)

So you would fix the working part of the team (the offense) and just hope the broken part of the team (the defense) works things out on their own. We saw the Cowboys do that exact same thing last year. How did that work for them?

I wanted to ask if anyone on here is one of the cardboard "fans" at the Linc 🤣. And if so,can you "buy yourself" once this BS ends? Would be cool for a man cave

IDK the Colts of the past Era with Manning had no defense either, they simply outscored you and I guess there are no D players around after round 1.(gotta love that Manning to Harrison connection)

Detroit-Waddle Carolina-Parsons thats my top 8. Could see Denver take Harris at RB

I don't know the answer JSB. We both can only speculate what will happen. Most likely we both end up wrong... I just feel Atlanta takes either a QB or a playmaker as there are defensive players to be had later. CB's are deep as are edge rushers this year. I guess we will see.

Off to get inspected, neglected, rejected and resurrected HF all

With that in mind, I think the draft goes Lawrence, Wilson, Jones, Sewell, Chase, Pitts. The Lions seem to like Darrisaw, so pencil him in at 7. The Panthers take Surtain, the Broncos take Fields and the Cowboys take Horn. The Giants take Slater or a pass rusher, so we have our choice of Waddle, Smith, unless the Lions take one of them, in which case we just draft the remaining guy.

pass on both Bama WRs

Always miss Mayock this time of yr. Went thru the "Mocking Heads" a few yrs ago, McClane was most on target over time. Can't watch Kiper - the hair throws me off! Steve Serby was the most accurate last yr, prolly mostly luck.

Eagles signed Eric Wilson Lb

Also resigning Jordon Howard don’t think Howard just completely forgot how to play just not used properly he could be our bigger RB if healthy

The bass player?

Suds to 39'ers

We're also moving DE Avery to LB - say anything about the draft?

Don't follow the Vikings, seems peeps were surprised there was so little interest in Wilson.

There was also an Irish hitman w/ the same name as well - maybe he can hit?

Avery is interesting as a Lb think he could make a really good rush Lb

One of our biggest problems the past few yrs is not playing to players' strengths - esp on D. Will be interesting what all these new sets of eyes can do.
