We had like Smallwood as our RB for 2016. Big difference having Blount and then adding Ajayi. Only had one deep threat weapon for Pedey....that was 2017 with Torrey Smith. We could use that punishing RB again....that could help. But I believe Sanders and Scott should be much more prepared for NFL life this season. Both went through massive growing pains last year. Add in a guy like Warren at RB that never goes down to the first tackler and I think we have something. Also adding some speed and a good WR coach should add to the vertical passing threat.

So I’m basically getting at you can’t blame Pedey for everything. If we don’t have any deep threat personnel it’s hard to call those plays. If you don’t invest well at RB it’s hard to stick with the run. When your down to only having Adams off the practice squad to run the rock you might be more hesitant to stick with the rushing attack. Same thing with the receivers. I believe Pedey is a heck of an offensive mind. Obviously losing Reich and DeFellipo hurt. Went to the lesser experienced guy in Groh. Obviously was going to take more time for him to get up to speed and be groomed. His loss in the WR room was just as much the problem though. But really I focus more on Rosie. The GM had to bring in the right personnel. Didn’t do nearly as good a job as he did in 2017. I’m placing blame on the medical staff also. Just seems like some of these injuries were avoidable....or flat out mismanaged.

Haven't been around w/ nothing going on.

See our OL just improved mostly the way I figured. Good news w/ JP, not a surprise. Seems like a small move, just may win us the div

Just looked around and I actually did log in to the right place - different puter, mine will get fixed in a few weeks.

Hope everyone's smart and ok. Should've been over with under some leadership. We're fairly safe living in MA, staying away from dumb tourists.

Be safe and be well my friends. Yeah JP!

Welcome back.

Our county has 10 cases, of course we don't live in the bee hive that is a city.

Deb was laid off when her co was bought out a month before the sh@t hit the fan. Seemed like a bummer right before retirement, turned in to a blessing. She had been an OTA in a nirsing home where they wound up w/ 97 cases. Bad things can turn out good. Hey, we're healthy and getting a lot done on the house. Just can't get a good price on ground rated pressure treated wood. That and Nellie and Joe's key lime juice to go w/ my gin. If we keep the right mind - and w/ good leadership - we'll all be ok. Well that and a bit of common sense.

I haven't been on only cause nothing's been going on except Brooks' injury, which really had me bummed! Dak's not going to sign a contract - book it! PLEASE pay too much for an acg QB dullass!. JP really helps out w/ the OL. Just his presence helps but noe we may swing someone else to RG, at least as a b/u. Rumours were something big was happening - this wasn't it. Then again, we know what rumours are.

Four year 85 mil deal for Jones in KC just continues their blockbuster spending spree.

Mmmmm hard to call the plays no hard for those plays to be successful yes to completely different things....At some point you have to take some shots regardless or teams just going to play you tight with no fear of anything going over the top.

I seen that Baldy said something about a blockbuster move coming the Eagles way that would greatly improve the roster... Think this JP move was the move he was talking about or think we got something else big in the works????

Seen many projecting Eagles OL as

Dillard/Semualo/Kielce/JP/Lane

Gotta day might be in the minority crowd but think I’d still rather have JP at LG start Pryor at RG and have Semaulo as the 6th man.

Stated before we don’t like to move OL during games so if injury happens to any of the starters especially T would we have with Mailiata???? Another rookie???? Idk personally feel better it being Semaulo.

We had no WRs in 2019 and still the Run game was not our bread and butter. Doug is bull headed and honestly a horrible OC. Good HC, but horrible game planner, play designer etc. I don;t see him changing based off the coaching staff they hired.

How many people can say they won a SB for the Eagles?   I think Doug's offense has been way better than the 2 previous coaches for sure.   Andy woke up a little when he left here.  Doug to me could use the run a little better for sure, the league is a passing league though ... especially when the money is on the line, I think the SB last year was a perfect example.  SF was dominating the game, but when the money was on the line, it came down to the passing game.    The offensive hires actually seem to tell me they may switch away some from the short passing game.  More runs. more QB related run action, and more passing down the field.

Nope the birds said they wanted JP at RG and I stated why,to bolster the strong side running game

He still passes the ball. His normal dink and dunk passing game. 613/454(58/42%) pass run ratio. 5.4/4.3 yards per avg(pass/run). I like the run yards per avg which pissed me off everytime he went away from the run. 5.4 is a rap pass avg. Somewhere in the low 6 range is pretty good. Doesnt sound like a big difference but it is. Doug needs a guy like Frank in there that will speak up and take over certain areas of this offense.

I agree, i love the run game and I wish Doug would get it. But every game we say run the ball and when he does we gain nice yards but Doug always goes away from it. Doesnt help that he play calling and sheme(dink and dunk) just suck and is why we are one of the worst teams in the NFL in first half points scored in 2016,18,19. When Frank was given the game planning, scripting in 17 we were the number 1 team in first half points scored. That stat is very telling.

How is Frank doing in Indy?   That is what is very telling.

Doug has dinked and dunked 3 out of his 4 years coaching. 16,18,19. Only 1 year he didnt was when he wasnt calling all the shots in 17. Thats my point. Unless Doug is giving up a lot, Im expecting the same as 16,18,19. Our WRs are still question marks. Doug sadly is Doug. Lets hope he comes to his senses like 2017 and goes with the more balanced offense and fresh plays to move the ball more the a 5 yard avg. But until I see him change, i have to expect more of the same from him.

Which year of he 4 did the RBs stay healthy and the Eagles played with more of a lead?     Out of 2016 and 2017 ... what changed with the dynamic of Doug and Frank?

I think the additions to the coaching staff is to have more experience in different styles.   I'm ok with the ratio of run to pass, if you look around the league, teams pass 60% now... what I am looking at is the timing of the run calls, and the exact type of run calls.  Some tweaks is all it takes to make a nice difference.  Plus some health at the RB position.

At this rate they'll have the cheerleaders playing the other positions.

The fact that no one has signed Clowney yet  tell me he's not worth the asking price. That price is going down every day however.

Frank actually did quite well his first year if you remember. And that was with Andrew luck at 75%. Last year he had his quarterback retire in the preseason I think you can give him a pass and the fact that he's in one of the toughest divisions in the NFL. The Texans and the Titans are both no joke.

Luck was a beast....with any coach. No way am I calling the AFC South that tough of division. Luck retiring was a tough blow. Losing DJax after the first game was also. If you are going to play the excuse game it has to go both ways. The Colts haven’t dealt with injuries like we have. Furthermore I still don’t see the Colts going anywhere. Stuck on a treadmill it appears to me. Making the move for Rivers wasn’t the call.

Kind of like a SB winning coach losing his QB 3/4 the way through the season... and that coach still being his franchise's ONLY winning SB ...  that guy probably deserves a pass too when looking at his RB injuries the past 2 seasons?   Let's face it... the last 2 years have had plenty of injuries at the skill positions ... unlike 2017 which basically had Sproles, while everyone else was healthy... the 2017 season and game 1 of last year were the only games with a legit speed WR playing with the franchise QB.      So if you want to look at " giving the pass"  ... and who did " really well" vs " quite well"  ... ehhh... probably Doug has the edge there.

I'm the first to criticize Doug as far as how he uses the run game... in particular not sticking with it ... but game scenarios, injuries...etc.  That's all a factor.   The run pass ratio is always higher for teams with more success because they play with a lead.   I don't look at the ratio, I look at how the run game was used.
