Really getting tired of the Philly fans Treatment from the Media. Last night Atlanta threw garbage on the field after a controversial call. Probably wrong and went the Phillies way for a change. Afterwards a media guy made the comment "The Phillie fans should feel right at home from this..." This is the second time in 9 years Atlanta Brave fans tossed garbage on the field. The last time was during a wild card play-off game in which the game was halted for 25 minutes to clean up the field. There has never been an incident at Citizen Bank park since it was opened in 2004. 76ER games have never had an incident. Flyers fans had one years ago... Sure there are some Eagles fans I can do without but just go to other football stadiums and you will see the same crap there. It is just not talked about. This is getting old and these media people need to get an education....

Right.. it's why it's easy to see trading the pick we used for Reagor....to get an already established no-brainer WR like Diggs was easily the right move at WR.

I'm hoping they don't draft a WR until day 3 if at all.   That's where I would spend the money in a year or 2.

IDK sometimes it's best to give them a year to acclimate,so get a decent one this year and another next. Usually year 3 is the "breakout year"(or so it seems) Reagor is in year 2. I would like to pick up a new WR every year in the draft. Keep the competition flowing and you never know when you hit on a DITR

Depending on who falls to us, it could be Waddle - NP. The Eagles are ( for now ) behind Hurts succeeding, so giving him another weapon would be in the cards. Do believe there's a pretty big dropoff bet 1st & 2nd rd CB's.

yeah I would go CB,lots of very useful, WR's even in later rounds. great class for those,no need to reach

"cept noone here seems to want a "light" WR, which both Waddle and Smith are. Sometimes that's why lightweights are great players. They know they can't get hit, so they make sure they DON'T.

"For instance, the Dallas Cowboys are rumored to be considering a trade up for Pitts"                     Smart move for them. Better trade partner for ATL as well since that would only drop the Falcons to 10 instead of 19 with the Wuss. Atl can ask what they want,if it's not good enough they will take Pitts. I always said Dullaz was in play for him. I had to disagree with Ham alot on this one lol

Dallas moving up to 4 with Atlanta would be great for us. If Dallas doesn't take Pitts, they would almost definitely take Surtain if he was there at 10. But Atlanta may decide to take Paye at 10 because their pass rush is so bad. Carolina is also a possibility for corner, but they could also go oline, especially if the draft goes Pitts, Chase, Waddle, Smith from 4 to 7. Sewell goes 8th, QB goes 9th, Paye goes 10th and then the Giants grab Slater and we get Surtain.

You think we’d take Surtain over Horn?

This is an interesting scheme fit wise it would seem Surtain might fit us better. Going off what we are supposedly running on D.

Also Surtain has been a top guy from day 1 Horn rose after impressive pro day. We love the flashy guys though so I’d find it hard we would take Surtain over Horn if it was really between those guys.

This is insane if this is remotely true Doug probably wanted to get fired.. I know I would

If true, this only heightens my disgust with the FO. I sure as h@ll wouldn't want to work there. Who would? (rhetorical)

Let me ask... don't you think other people knew some of this was going on... people involved with the offense especially.     The idea of no coordinator and this group of consultants...etc.   If you could get out why wouldn't you?    Unless you were on your last legs as a player and were offered a raise.

Not sure what the Eagles think, but I would. Surtain is about as technically sound as a corner can get, so there isn't the upside that some of the other prospects will have, but he's the definition of a plug and play starter in a cover two scheme. We really need a solid starter at the position from the draft, so I think it is better to sacrifice some upside to take the safer pick.

Using last year's comparison, he's Justin Jefferson, and Horn is Reagor.

Clearly Dysfunction going on with this organization and this is hardly the first article to highlight it. Team definitely has lot of work to do, to try and repair the image

Side note we haven’t had a defense MVP since 86 Lawrence Taylor... That kinda crazy to think about especially when you have had seasons of what JJ Watt has done and Aaron Donald in recent memory

Like 2014 Rodgers put up Rodgers stats 4300 yards 38 TDs 5 ints.

Yet JJ Watt comes within a sack of breaking the sack record with 20.5 definitely make the case of his importance to the Texans and impact on the games.

Yeah,my argument with Ham was(Dullaz boards have their hearts set on Surtain if they stay at 10),But I mean Pitts gives them a multi functional weapon, and they can get a CB in round 2. Idk that Surtain would get past the lions or Denver

I did a mock with taking no LB but picking up a nice one with upside(MIKE) as a UDFA. I took 3 WR's and although this sounds excessive, if any 2 stick we are in good shape next year. So LMK what you think of this mock ( you know the numbers lol) 1 Smith-WR   2-Onwuzrike-DL  3-Kelvin Joseph-CB  3-Payton Turner-edge  4-Anthony Schwartz-WR(runs a 4.25/40)  5-Kendrick Green-IOL  6-Yeboah-TE  6-Patterson-RB  6-Grimes-WR  7 Johnson-DL  7 Ball -OT. Adding 3 WR's we should have zero problem finding 6 to keep(aka check that box off)

UDFA-KJ Britt-LB(Mike)-Auburn  Zac Thomas-QB- App St.

Smith, Schwartz,Grimes(draftees),Reagor, Fulgham, Ward, Hightower, Quez. Jjaw goes away. Roster 6,1 on the PS,one other one goes away. If you can't find 6 out of this, you really suck

Like I told Ham,GL defending Pitts twice a year lol

I was asking only because I was reading the CB analyses on IgglesBlitz prepared by Tommy Lawlor.  He seems to have some concerns over Surtain.  He states:

Quote

Patrick Surtain – The consensus top corner, but I’ve got concerns. Had a great Pro Day, but that athleticism doesn’t always show up in games. Gave up long TDs vs Florida and Tennessee. Watch him vs Ohio State and Chris Olave runs by him multiple times. That’s a concern for me. Maybe I’m focusing too much on some negative plays, but the more I watch Surtain, the more nervous he makes me.

http://igglesblitz.com/2021/04/corner-questions/

I've seen a few others express concern over his game as well.  But I've also seen most sites have Surtain and Horn pegged as the top 2 CBs (Farley was in the mix as well until the back surgery seems to have possibly pushed him down on some boards ... whether true or not is anyone's guess).

I do think we need to add some elite talent to the position although I suppose it doesn't have to be in round 1.  There are a few that I like that could possibly be had in round 2 or 3.  Both Joseph and Newsome would seem to make sense IMO.

BTW if you think we will absolutely take a LB, I suppose you could drop Yeboah at TE and there should be 2 decent LB's at that spot(purdue and OSU). Grimes was just a case of BPA at that spot for me and pick up a UDFA TE(this may make more sense than my original)

Damn the draft seems like it is taking forever to get here lol. Still what 17 days away
