So if I had to guess at this point.... I would say the DE from Michigan and then a CB with the 2nd pick.

I'm guessing something like....

DE Paye
WR Marshall
CB Adebo
OL Myers

Not what I want, but what I think Howie (or is it Lurie now?) will do

Why wouldn't you want that? It seems like a fantastic draft to me.

New hope for a healthy season - NFL told clubs non-vaccinated employees cannot work directly with players. Every bit helps.

Unless they used J&J.. People who have used that are getting blood clots...

More BS.

Jordan Howard said his market was dry and thought his career was over... That has to be tough hope he comes with a chip on his shoulder this season show he can still play

Have to wonder what other NFL analytics dept's analysis of HR and Halaby's analytics would be?

We get lucky sometimes, but really we at some point need to draft better RB's(or stop coddling them). Scott was a pleasant surprise, but we can't keep counting on those. Howard can get the basher back yards and keep more tread on Sanders wheels(we hope) Like to add Jefferson, Hill or Patterson to our RB room

"The Tuesday tribunals with team owner Jeffrey Lurie and general manager Howie Roseman were a weekly occurrence during Pederson’s five-year tenure as Eagles head coach. In the meetings, Lurie and Roseman questioned Pederson about all aspects of his game management the week prior. Fourth-down decision-making, play calling, personnel choices — everything was on the table.

Days earlier, the team overcame a 10-0 second-quarter deficit to beat Aaron Rodgers and the Packers 34-27 and even its record at 2-2. The offensive key to the win was a steady dose of the running game that took advantage of Green Bay’s defensive game plan.

Apparently, that wasn’t good enough. Lurie, who has long advocated the use of analytics, wanted to know why Pederson hadn’t called more passing plays. The interrogation was the same after another win that season — this time in Buffalo on a day with 23 mph winds”

Here is the bigger concern will it matter who we have at RB or coach if this is our owner??? We have an owner that forces the pass instead of sitting down shutting the hell up and letting the coaches do there job

Yep the FO is the problem, they are just "too rich" to see it or care. They are trying to micro manage everything. That is not going to work .If they continue down this path Siri will be gone in 2-3 years IMO. Lurie needs a GM,period and he needs to stay the hell out of trying to be the football guy he will never be

The recent article about the FO really highlights what Doug went through here. It’s just crazy to think we he was able to accomplish. Being 2nd guessed on every decision, injury riddled roster the GM put together, GM forcing him to play draft picks over better players, can’t use game plans because the owner wants more passes.Cant keep his coaches etc.

Sidney Jones was supposed to be the best CB in 2017. Look how that turned out for us. A bad back never goes away my friend. I could care less how small that surgery was. There will be more. Big question is - When will he need it? Plus you are completely ignoring his ACL surgery a few years back as if that is no concern...?

Not that much concern about the knee. He’s showing good speed and acceleration since.

It goes back to why they hired Siri. The inexperience as HC will make him more willing to do as they want. Sad as neither Lurie or HR have the capacity to do so but are unwilling to admit it. HR went on his walkabout when Chip was here, wish he'd kept walking! I used to put a lot more into the Eagles. Now it's more like a part time hobby and refuse to become emotionally involved.

Diablo 2 Resurrected just underwent an alpha test and will be released later this yr. A much more enjoyable waste of time than the Eagles going on the same path of irrelevancy.

An interesting mock draft.

Sikkema's 2021 NFL Mock Draft 5.0 | The Draft Network

He has us taking Horn at 12, which seems reasonable with Atlanta taking Pitts and Carolina taking Slater. I would switch the Chargers and Giants picks, but other than that the first 13 picks make sense. The Redskins trading up for Jones at 14 makes sense as well. The 49ers drafting Jones at 3 could really throw the first round into a jumbled mess.

He also has a bunch of corners (Newsome, Samuel Jr., Stokes) going in the first and us trading back into the first for Bateman. I wouldn't trade up in this scenario because Toney, Moore and Marshall are still available, as is Bolton, Levi, Barmore, and one of those guys would be available at 37, so spending the draft capital wouldn't make sense.

I’m not believing this mock. I think the Niners ARE going with Jones. Bengals are going Chase. I don’t believe the Broncos are convinced they don’t already have their guy. So they won’t trade up. Just doesn’t feel like a very quality effort. But who knows what finally happens?

I think it is important to keep in mind that the obvious source for the article about the dysfunction of the team was Doug. After all, it included details from meetings attended by three people - Doug, Lurie and Howie. And I am pretty confident that we can eliminate two of them as sources.

Doug's playcalling was objectively awful last year. He benched Fulgham and refused to play JJAW in the position that most suited him. A lot of the oline juggling was due to the fact that they made bad personnel decisions. Carson also clearly regressed. None of these were the fault of the owner or gm.

Before we lose our collective minds about how dysfunctional this team is or isn't, let's see how things go with the new coach and a new offensive scheme.

Look no further than Sidney Jones. Hopefully that was a lesson learned. And that wasn't even related to the spinal process which is even touchier.

Sorry man! LOL already commented till I got to your next post.

Sidney couldn’t even play his rookie season. Farley it’s been said is on his way to being cleared for Training Camp.

Can't say for a fact. This was the same guy who won us a SB. Once he won it,the micro managing usually begins(at least that has been my past experience when I went into companies to find problems). Once upper mgt is on top, they want to remain there (aka dynasty) and that's when the mirco management begins, because now they focus on "every little thing" rather than the overall picture

It seemed like Fulgham got figured out a little bit there. I thought he gave up some reps because of that. Guy’s got plenty of growing to still do.
As far as the playcalling: sure...I can always nitpick. But you have to understand that with the inexperienced Oline(no time for the five started to even gel) and inexperienced WR....the playbook was narrowed down. Probably tried to implement a set of plays each week in the gameplan they actually run through in practice during the week. So those core ‘matchup plays’ were repeated in a given week. Pretty usual. Maybe overused a bit out of necessity from all the inexperience.

BTW if Lurie keeps forcing his coach to give up the run game, we aren't going anywhere.

BTW(again) Lurie/Howie keep bringing back FA's at skill positions, because they are too inept to draft them

It isn’t like this weren’t things that had been leaking well before that article though. Also the dysfunction of this team has spanned 3 coaches now tail end of AR, Chip and now Doug

Idk if it was remotely as bad as it sounds I would have thrown the towel is also if I was Doug why game plan if him being criticized over everything

You mean the Gm that picks the roster???? That drafts the players that signs the FAs??? That’s completely on the GM... or the owner that supposedly wanted JJaw over Metcalf

I'll believe if it see it brother. AND how long he lasts till possible IR.

Lmao wow I think I have literally just seen the dumbest trade scenario ever.

They had us trading back up to 6 giving up 12 a first next year and Barnett.

Why would we have traded out of 6 if we were just going to give up more to get back that selection
