3rd in Rushing yards per attempt

Well that's cause teams got us down so bad they knew we'd give up the run game,so they were no longer focused on stopping it. Notice it's  yards PER ATTEMPT. How many attempts did we make? IDK just the eye test tells me not enough. The rest I agree with. if you look at alot of the games we lost by 7 or less. Some of those losses were self inflicted. IDK what's done is done,it doesn't matter now

OT- Just successfully assembled the worst Chinese nightmare grill in the history of the planet. Parts didn't match the pics.and I masochistically bought TWO.One down,I regret having to do the other later. In a way it reminded me of my birds FO. The pieces were there, the instructions sucked and I had to wing it just like this team(see how smoothly I transitioned this into football???) 🤣

We all know Rosie is exploring ALL options. You need to know what’s going on even if you aren’t going to actually be a part of it. You need to know what the prices are for your varying options. I believe everything is on the table.

Isn't this always true???? It's on the table until the card hits the podium

And yes, I really believe in Day Two of the draft. Always the most crucial day. This year’s draft is very unique. No combine. Plenty of players didn’t even play this past season. Couldn’t really get access to players. So it’s a hard draft. Which is good and bad. Really great chance of quality players slipping to Day Three.

For us,every pick in ANY round is "crucial". Even in the BU/developmental area rounds (5,6,7).We can't afford to miss many

According to Rosie: he knew this team needed to be rebuilt....but thought with the COVID situation and having the only team retaining their coach in division that we were front runners in the East. So he doubled down on a bad team instead of beginning the rebuild. Seemed like most thought we should have been the favorites based on the circumstances.

Ok.... we win the division in 2020... what does that get us?    This to me is the whole issue that I get annoyed with.    I absolutely hate that our division was this bad the last couple of seasons.   If we could have bad a 10 win team each year, the season would have been over just after Thanksgiving,  and the focus would be on the big picture.

Still at this point we have fans trying to make a case for drafting players so we can win this year....lol.     Get that WR lol.  The best thing that can happen in 2021, is multiple NFC East teams with 11 or more wins.   So the reality sets in that we have a long way to go.

The division used to be the best. Not even just in football, but for years the NFC East was the best division in all the major sports.   Since Lurie took over, it's really gone in the toilet,  and to me it's the #1 reason that the Eagles have been perceived as any kind of successful franchise.

BS excuses for failed draft picks. Howie covers Howie, noone else

OK, so if that is true and he averaged 3.27 Seconds, Just how long is he holding it other times?

It’s not all on the offensive line, though. Wentz had the second-longest time to throw among quarterbacks who played before Monday night’s games. He took on average 3.27 seconds to get the ball out, a lot of time to ask a patchwork line to hold up. Part of the problem is the Eagles’ inability to consistently get into manageable third downs, but it’s still worth keeping in mind just how long Wentz is holding the ball when you’re criticizing the offensive line.

Also blame play design. Bad OL + late-forming WR routes + poor receivers = long time holding ball

Ham, as time goes on here... the more I think the DT Barmore has a chance to be the Eagles pick.

Very good chance. He’d be a very good addition also. Be nice if we could move back a little and still get him though.

I can image it'd be hard not to get greedy in the war room and be able to make best decision while still having time for calling other possible trade partners.

 10 days till the draft! :towel:

I'd rather have Onwu in round 2 and use the 12 on  desperately needed CB

Here is an Article that explored each Eagles sack. There were 65 total. Of the 65, 34 were attributed to the O-Line. so that means that almost half were due to the QB, RB's TE's or scheme/coverage. 21 sacks were directly attributed to the QB's. Either he held onto the ball too long or rolled into the rush. Either way, the QB play had allot to do with the amount of sacks we had. Great QB's like Rodgers, Brady and others never allow that to happen. Either they toss to the Receiver, not waiting for him to be open or they toss the ball away. Wentz would not throw the ball until the receiver was open, which is a rookie mistake. You need to trust your WR's. He did a much better job in 2019, even though most of his WR's never caught a NFL pass before. Anyway, you decide after you read this:

I didn't say that.   I just simply stated I've  never seen a coach or QB ever deal with that whole situation before.

And also...to me I don't give a crap about how my guy handles such a dumpster fire.   I care about if my guy can win a title when given a good situation to work with.

This narrative of not handling the dumpster fire well enough... misses the point.    Which is, he had no faith that they are going to get out of the dumpster fire any time soon.   He wanted out...  similar to Doug, Duce, Schwartz,  Ertz, Jenkins...etc.   if it was only the former QB, then there is more of a case for blaming him... but the big picture paints a different picture.

Similar to this talk about the Eagles trading up.  We know at this point it would be for a QB. Not a WR or CB.  They will let the lineman fall to them.

I agree that the Eagles most likely do not trade up. Doesn't make sense unless they really like Surtain. That would give them a solid CB plus take away the player Dallas is eyeing. Still trading back would help out much more. Get an additional 2nd round pick and we could set ourselves up for a bunch of choices. I would almost rather get an additional 2nd round pick next year, when the scouting personnel have more film on the college players.....

Soon enough we will see what surprise Howie has in store for us Eagle Fans. I am almost certain most of us will be shaking our heads no later than Friday night.... Possibly have a hangover Friday morning due to Mr. Roseman....

I'll have the 18 year Scotch and the cheap bottom shelf whiskey out.  If he makes a good pick I'll go with the former.  A head scratcher will have me pouring the latter.

I remember watching a clip of Aldon Smith pre game last year. How happy and thankful he was to get another shot playing the game he loves. So now there is a warrant out for his arrest in Louisiana for 2nd degree assault on a man. I guess he wasn't thankful enough.... Stupid people. You have the world by the balls and do crap like that.... smh
