Like Newsome at CB also. he could go at the tail end of 1. If we were planning a move up back into 1, I would depending on where is was. I just feel taking a WR at 12 is a waste at this point. Round 2 WR's will suit us for now until we build this team back up I see no need to waste a year with a round 1 WR pick. Personal opinion. next year we have potentially 3 round 1's. Use one to move for your QB and take a top WR with your other 1 pick next year

I'm hoping we take 2 WR's. Fulgham is "OK" as is Ward. Reagor we have to keep obviously, but the rest really are nothing special. Clean out the dead wood

Farley is the wild card. If they traded back from 12 and drafted Farley, I would be happy with that as long as they picked up a draft pick to mitigate the risk.

So, for example, the Eagles draft Farley at 19 (WFT traded to 12 for a qb) and then Adebo/Stokes at 51 (the pick they used to trade up), you are taking a risk with Farley, but mitigating that risk by getting another corner in round 2.

I agree that there will be plenty of wrs at 37 who would be fine.

But alot of them only weigh 185-190 and we used to say "oh prone to injury" because of their slight build

No I tend to look at the complete build of the WR I never truly understood why every focused on the weight or the height as much.

Used to defend Sproles constantly because never thought he was small just short which are too different things.

I get certain things like again Smith the concerns of a guy that is built like a basketball play at 6’1 170 he has a small frame but he isn’t undersized height wise... Or the concerns with height guys that is 5’9.

I think we throw around the undersized word way to often though

Seems like a waste. I would prefer avoiding risk at 12. With 11 picks, there is no reason to do that early on. Adebo/Stokes/ Samuel is an upgrade as it is,so I have upgraded without the risk. I dont need another Jones in round 1. I would take Horn at 12, or something else if we moved to 19, or possibly we could get Newsome at 19

Um, guys hit harder in the NFL than they do in college, so the weight should always be a concern. One could argue though that being slight means you learn pretty fast how to avoid those hits

I'm with you ... I have zero interest in taking the added risk of using a high pick on a player with a back injury (regardless of what reports are out there now saying he should be ready for TC).  Players come with plenty of risk as is (without injury concerns).  If he fell to 37, I might have interest but likely just a little.

BTW just personal opinion. For me Barmore would be a reach even at 19. I actually like Onwuzurike in round 2 if we went that route

The CB from Kentucky is growing on me too

As boring and uneventful as it is, it would behoove us to take one of the top OC's. it's the most important "unsung" position, but if we are rebuilding we'd better get Kelce's replacement in here(and not more round 6 camp bodies). I want Wyatt or Meinerz in 3. C's are hard to rank. Even good ones will fall, but I don't think we can afford to wait too long

Kelvin Joseph.  I included him on my mock ... I like him as well.  Apparently there are some character concerns though that may cause them to leave him off our draft board?

To your point, the 2 RB's I like for us are both Sproles stature, weight and build- Kahlil Herbert is my first choice, followed by Patterson from Buffalo

IDK,we need so many holes filled. I know we talked to Trill,so I am trying to read up on him.he would be a later pick(maybe round 4?) IDK I have Herbert there. We need to clear out the dead wood in the WR and RB rooms and get some talent in here

https://thedraftnetwork.com/articles/2021-nfl-draft-scouting-report--cb-trill-williams          I'm thinking we put off CB and LB once again as a priority(as usual) and we picked up 2 S's in FA to help them out. SOS lol. Williams is the versatile type,so he can be moved around as needed

Wyatt seems like a guy that could start day 1. Meinerz is a guy that really needs to sit a year, but has massive upside,so seems to me he would be the better choice. He can sit and learn from Kelce and be ready for when we get a QB next year(LOL)

But again I understand the weight concern on guys but then I hear oh this guys is undersized but he is 5’10 215 like what is undersized about that lol short sure...   But then a guy that’s 6’2 200 pounds is isn’t undersized seems like everyone’s concerns comes from Height

IMO height is of lesser importance. With those "underweight" guys, I would check to see if some weight could be added without affecting them too much. Can't do much about the height part. "Intangibles" are big with me. I tend to look at the "other stuff" like cone drill times, those tell me how QUICK they are. Speed is fine, but that quickness in change of direction(cone drill) will give your QB windows to throw in to and of course the other thing we always lack is WR's that have  good YAC stats

Kelvin Joseph is also on my mock for CB for what it’s worth lmao

PHI.gif Philadelphia Eagles
  • Larnel Coleman, Offensive Tackle, Massachusetts (VIR)
  • K.J. Costello, Quarterback, Mississippi State (VIR)
  • Brandon Kennedy, Center, Tennessee (VIR)
  • Jordyn Peters, Safety, Auburn (VIR)
  • Asante Samuel Jr., Cornerback, Florida State (VIR)
  • Darius Stills, Defensive Tackle, West Virginia (VIR)
  • Kadarius Toney, Wide Receiver, Florida (VIR)
  • Trill Williams, Cornerback, Syracuse (VIR)                    These are the guys we have talked to the most

So I am working on a mock using these guys/ Not that it is set in stone, but we have shown interest. I'm still rather surprised this list is so short. IDK we could be looking at a double dip at CB with Samuel and Williams(that would ROCK the Eagles fan base HAHAHA) OH we talked to Meinerz as well who is not on here. he said we have shown the most interest

These reports are getting crazy 9 days from the draft... Still think the funniest one is us trading back up to 6 with the Dolphins. Also have heard us supposedly looking at 7 with Detroit.

Another new rumor is NYG looking to trade back.

Things get interesting if Pitts gets past ATL

IDK could we be looking at an Ertz trade to Miami?. They need an OT,but they can get one at 12 and with the Ertz trade we may not give up more than 1 pick later that the 2 we added??? IDK depends on what ertz's value is to the FIns

Think you are over valuing Ertz we couldn’t get our asking price of a reported a 3rd for him.... Don’t see that valuing increasing. If we are valuing Ertz I’d look at him as = to at best a 5th rounder

They don't call it the silly season for nothing
