Cut Kelce? The guy is a lifer Eagles. You wouldn’t be cutting him but making him retire from the game. I believe with Kelce coming back this season that he actually committed to more than one season....this time. He’s in for the rebuild.

Oh great another JP, just what we need.; What's the point of a rebuild if you keep all the old guys?

Yep, when you're Swiss cheese, why not create another hole?

Just can't see using a high pick on a C with 3 guys being tried at the position and we have so many holes elsewhere

SO avoid it,so we have a hole there next year?. May as well get it done when you have 11 picks to do it. What is a "high pick"? If he is your OC for the next decade what is "too high"? A late 2 is not high considering we can't even nail round 1. SO you want to wait until Kelce breaks down(see JP) to figure out who is replacement is? Bass ackwards. So why would there be a hole, if these other guys are ready to go already? Tell me who the starting center is in 2022(and don't list 3 guys tell me who is starting)

His "lifer" should end after this season. He's been retiring for 5 years now and we keep putting it off and we will end up with another JP. If Kelce is a lifer why was he only signed for 1 year??

So, Meinerz represents competition(where as a bevy of round 6ers don't theoretically). Doesn't that alone make the team better? While we all know drafts are a crapshoot, don't we want the best guy at C we can locate? There is "clairty" on the Oline, because we have brought noone else in. There is "clarity" because we have noone else, and we found out that "clarity" didn't work out too well last year. Bring them in, let them battle for their spot,THEN we will have clarity and arguably a better O line

I don't know why this is so hard to comprehend, but I would rather see them draft the best available player at 70 or 84 than having them think, "hey, this would be a great spot to draft a center."

You may think that a center is the best use of resources in the third round, but I would rather see them stick to their draft board. If the BPA is a center, so be it. But if the choice is between a center and a safety or LB or CB or DE or DT or RB or TE or WR I would rather them take virtually any other position because center is the one spot where we are fine at.

I have zero clue what their draft board looks like. If they feel he is the future at 84 take him. What's hard to understand about that? So Kelce's BU's are "fine". It's an assumption by you, they were not drafted as centers,so if you want to keep putting round pegs in square holes, that's your choice. If I find an actual center(not an OG pressed into center duty) and I think he can lead this team for 10 years, I will take him. So replacing an aging/annually retiring  Kelce is not on par with replacing an aging DT? If you checked my mock you can see I addressed those other positions. Noone cares about an OC until you don't have a good one. Everyone is concerned about the O line yet you don't want to rebuild it and neither of us have any clue if those BU's are "fine" or not, so with 11 picks,I will pick one up. Doesn't have to be at 84,but they start dropping off around that area,so wait till next year and HOPE you find one or you can HOPE to train an OG to learn on the go instead of drafting one and having him learn behind a pro bowler. Otherwise,if they aren't as good, you are looking at JP 2.0 and that sends you into panic mode. It's called planning ahead,we should try it sometime, because since we DON'T, we are always shopping in the FA bargain basement(and frankly I am tired of it)

If the BPA is a center,

So define BPA. It's a never ending discussion of OPINION. "who is the BPA" at 84???? Ask 12 people, you will get 12 answers The OC is the anchor of the O line, but that's not important??? In a rebuild year? With a  guy that's been retiring for 5 years now? OK man, I totally disagree.

So I guess the point is,we have a pro bowl OC and he will need replaced. I would like to replace him with another pro bowl OC and you feel that guy is on the roster and I don't

So I listened to part of the press conference and it left me shaking my head. Siri sounds like a little kid at a candy store with $100 to spend. HR took time to Thank his scouts for the great job they did in helping getting ready for this draft. Seriously? He expects all of us to think he is actually going to listen to them? We are a mess and after that presser, it sounds as though we are not getting out of this hole anytime soon. Did any of you hear Siri's use of "Rock, Paper, Scissors" as a method of competition? This is our Leader. The man who is supposed to command discipline amongst veterans. Look, I am willing to give him a shot, but someone really needs to coach him how to talk to the media.

Siri - "Again, we've talked a little bit about my core values," he added. "(Competition) is my second core value -- it's this team's second core value. Competition is a huge thing, and we're going to have competition at every position."

Unless of course your QB's Carson Wentz - waaaaaaaaaaaah!

Yep...that's the narrative like DeSean being in a gang...anything to take the attention away from piss poor roster construction.

Yeah....imagine if you were a 28 year old QB....would you want to stay here?   But drafting Hurts is the issue....lol

I wish they would close caption these so deaf people can hate them too. Next up, we will try the Candyland draft theory since we are losing at Chutes and Ladders

I think he meant the plates and napkins

You're better off not being able to hear them.

The realist side of me thinks Siri is just here to develop a new young core of players for a couple of seasons.

Well, if I could see into the future I would not be in this business  LMAO!

So we are the QB Factory and It’s All About Speed.....so what’s this year’s brilliant draft theme?

If he can do that why would you lose him??? Isn't that the point of hiring a coach?

I think the point would be hoisting a Lombardi

Rebuilding with the antiques we already have rostered. It's not a rebuild,it's a restoration"

So if Siri is just our developmental coach then you really can’t just focus on getting guys for his scheme.

So a "few" years is how many?

If that's all you wanted, it was a pointless hire then(which it may be)

11 minutes ago, cunninghamtheman said:

But everyone knows that isn't happening anytime soon.   Right now the players , the next ones coming in,  need to be developed.  If he can do that,  then maybe eventually he can stick around long enough to hoist the Lombardi.   But that's a long ways away.

You shouldn't focus on that anyway...you should focus on getting the most talented players at this stage.   The team lacks that in spades at the moment.   It's why I believe that they will look to start at the line of scrimmage.

IDK to me the HC is not the developmental guy. He's not the "hands on" guy. It's the staff under him that should do those jobs. The HC is the leader, the organizer, the guy that takes the heat, but IMO the OC,DC and those minions under them are the key cogs in the developmental process. Of course the HC should be able to hire all those people and trust they know what they are doing or take the blame if they don't perform(because, you know, you hired them). I am anxious to see what changes will come on defense and if we can finally use players correctly. I'm hoping Lurie grows a set and tells Howie to keep his mitts off this new staff and let them do their jobs
