So if we went WR at 12(presumably Smith) who do you like better at CB for us Stokes or Samuel. Which guy fits out scheme better in your op?

Be fine with this one except there is no way I would give up a pick for Grant(and I'm a UCF guy lol). I would stay put and take Nasrilideen(he may be better anyway)

Grant projects more of a slot/free safety while Hamsah is a strong safety/big nickel. So you can't really swap them out for each other.

I am hoping Harris plays well here (and am guessing he should if the defense is similar to what he played in previously considering Gannon coached in Minny and our defense is expected to resemble what they do).  We should be in a better position cap wise to offer him an extension after this season.  Anyway, knock on wood ... I have always liked Harris.  But McLeod is almost surely done after this season, so have to start the process of identifying who his successor is.  Could it be Wallace?  Possibly.  Adams seems more like a STer to me (and backup S).  But who knows.

If it were me, Epps and Maddox would be my first choices as the long-term answers at safety while I would put Wallace in the slot. Harris is okay, but he's not athletic and likely benefitted from the scheme he was in, plus having really talented people around him.

You mean the scheme most think Gannon will run here???? I’ve heard a ton that he will run a D very similar to that of the Vikings more so then what they did in Indy

I do agree with Maddox as a deep S though my preference is still to keep Wallace as a S. Wasnt all that impressed with Epps last year but hope he can become a good rotational 3 rd S

Ah yea, I keep forgetting about Maddox.  I’m eager to know what Gannon’s plans are for him.  Sure hope they don’t plan to use him at outside CB.  Nickel or S would be much better. But can’t say I am sold on Epps just yet.

SO which is the better prospect with the supposed Gannon D we will run? IDK Gannons tendencies

My guess would be Maddox is in the slot this year. Though I still deep S is his best position

CIncy Bearcats are cranking out some good players. They will fall due to the school size, but Darrick Forrest is really growing on me as a LATE S snag. Learning behind Harris isn't the worst thing he could do

We keep forgetting about jacquet too. Wonder if he can take the next step to at least be a solid BU

Not forgetting Jacquett but I’d see him as an outside CB... Would think he is in the mix to compete for the outside job and at the very least be a viable backup Cb on the outside.

In a cover 2 defense, it really helps to have a slot corner who is bigger, because you need them more for run support. Wallace would be great for that role. I also like the idea of drafting Wade from OSU for that role as well.

Been looking more at Melifonwu in the 2nd, could fall to us. Still say if we follow a properly set board ( Hint HR ), whichever CB or WR is avail at 12, we take the other position in the 2nd.

That said we take a kicker

Only happened 1x in the 1st - Janikowski

I don't really like either guy for our defense. I like Shaun Wade as a safety/slot mix. But I also think we have a lot of pieces for this defense in place already (Wallace at slot, Maddox as safety, etc.)

In the scheme we ran last year, Grant would be great as a slot corner and Hamsah would be a good prospect at SS. But not a fan for what defense we are most likely going to run.

Yup, he would be a good fit for us. Newsome as well but he's projected to go higher. Although it wouldn't surprise me if he fell. Samuel is another name. He lacks the size, but he plays a lot bigger than he is.

That's why I tend to wait for a S, a nice one with upside. I mentioned Forrest(late 6) He seems "moldable" into whatever need we have

So what if we gave all 3 of our round 1 picks next year to Jax for Lawrence 🤣 (keep the 12 pick this draft also) Would you make this trade?

Me personally? No I wouldn't. I'm not so big on Lawrence.

What about Molden?

Yeah he got "mahomed" at the big dance lmao

Haha that's catching on... I mean he could be a really top QB in the NFL I just don't think he's going to be.

He would be fine.

4 games 21 solo tackles(2020) 100/153 in his Washington career. That impresses me
