Well, Siri said something about weight does not matter if they play to their max potential when drafting a player. Seems to me he may have been hinting at Smith because of how small he is?

Didn't go so well with Pumphrey.

It's great on your part.   I don't have to imagine that the organization prioritizes DL.   Graham over Earl Thomas and the rest of the last 25 plus years tells me so.

If you just hired new coaches... and have all young players ..6 of them with 4 recently being drafted... you would think " development" of these young guys should happen.   Yet either way..  your DL after this year only has Graham, Cox and Hargravd under contract.    Unless you are planning to win in 2021... it should be obvious what the previous 25 years are telling us?

Nope not planning to win in 2021, maybe we do ok in 2022 and I would inject youth everywhere with 11 picks and get them going. Maybe by 2023 we can contend

At this point and time feel like we have talked every possible scenario under the sun for this Eagles draft nothing else to do now but wait and see draft is only 6 days off

Pump was a round 4 pick. He was also a RB who we tried to covert

No we have to argue to see who ends up right 🤣

Yeah all good points you make. Agholor was gone after his 5 years, so now it's time to draft Smith so we can lose him in 5 years😉

You always seem to do this every year. Focus on one position and not the overall roster.  Forget Agholor, I don't know why you brought him up 2 times?   They drafted 4 WRs the last 2 seasons.   2 of them early.   Nothing on DL.  Tell me once where they drafted a WR earlier than where Maclin ,Agholor,  Reagor were drafted?   When was the last time they drafted a CB in round 1 and where was Lito drafted?  At 12?

" bit this year is different "   got it.   Idk, but with 4 picks in the first 2 days,I certainly would not mock a LB and zero DL.  Especially after they just signed an LB in free agency, and yet for you, signing Harris is a reason to put S on the back burner?

LOL no Joe I am focusing on the BPA in my view by where we pick. Reagor didn't show me nuttin. I hope he does this year, but Smith is better than Agholor(and Reagor too),so to say we don't take WR's in 1 is a fallacy and now there is a nice crop of them so why not?

If Hurts doesn't do well, we will need WR's in here to make the QB position appealing(and we don't have those guys)

Idk... we have 6 young guys at WR that could develop and are under contract.   We have zero DL that are young under contract past this year.  If you are looking at 2023... should be easy to where they will logically go.  Especially when pick 6 vs pick 12 is supposed to be a drop off in WR and chance to lose the top 2 CBs?  You would think they have something in mind?

I know Joe,you want 11 defensive picks. Not going to work that way. With everything we need SOMETHING has to go on the back burner yes????? We don't have 11 round 1 picks, so pick your poison

We have Reagor who isn't a #1. We have Fulgham who I'm not sure he's an NFL starter. We have Ward who's a decent slot. Then we have Hightower and Watkins who are OK and are decent depth guys. Who else am I missing?

I think you are right on with your ideas.  Trade up means QB.   Or they take a linemen.  I don't really think Howie is so unpredictable... if any organization is predictable after looking at their draft history... it's the Eagles.

I said I was fine with Horn/ Marshall. I am also fine with Smith/Molden

I don't want anything... I'm just trying to say, like I do every year,  follow the draft history of the organization instead of getting so absorbed in the experts and their rankings/ predictions.    The Eagles are consistent in their philosophies.

I’m pretty confident in my guesses as well lmao doesn’t mean I want them to be right but I do know this teams tendencies especially since Lurie took over

And I am saying we don't avoid WR's in round 1 if we think a good one is there(unfortunately we can't pick them but we keep at it lol)

Who do we have next to Graham, Cox and Hargrave?

Let alone who is going to replace any of them?

Am I missing anyone?

My point though is small/light guys are in a minority when it comes to success in the NFL. These bigger guys are getting so much quicker and faster. I guarantee even in my youth if a quick 250 pounder got ahold of me I would be lucky to break a tackle.

Who do we have at WR? Any real "impact guys" there? I don't see any

most of the top WR are lightweights if you look Why is that then? Smith, Waddle, elijah. There are some bigger ones but if what you say is true those guys would be ranked in round 4

Barnett and Sweat both in contract years.

ANy WR's we have really going to scare off anyones secondary? Nope, they will tee off on Hurts all game

BG.. I want to look back at the draft in 3 years and say the team got a nice core started.   I don't really put much stock in just the first pick, that's how the NBA is done, not the NFL.

But we know our team is predictable.  They have position priorities... they have been burned a couple times drafting for need.   They know they are in rebuild.

I don't watch college. I've seen Pitts play in high-school more than I have all these other guys play combined in college.  It's great to talk about cover 2, cover 3, and all these other things.   But can't ignore the basics and the history of this organization. Nor the ages of certain spots on this roster.

And which position have you seen the Eagles prioritize more over the last 30 years?
