Analytics will lead to more linemen.   Just do the analysis....lol.

I have no issue what position they draft TBH. As long as they do not reach like they have in the past. If there is a O-Line or D-Line available and he is ranked there, take him.

Keep in Mind Halaby was there last year also. Who did they take round 1? Was that Lurie, or maybe Halaby had his ear.... I guess we will see in 6 days!

Some think he still is. Matter of opinion, Lets remember Chase DIDNT Play at all last year

Matter of opinion what does your consensus  big board you love so much say???

Biggest I haven’t heard anyone  say Smith is the best WR he was at best always behind Chase who didn’t played last year and now fallen behind his teammate who also missed most of last year.

SOI based on that theory a WR has as good a chance as your lineman. Like I said we need everything, but if we're going for a QB next year(Wilson even) we'd better make this offense at least appear appealing. WIlson would not come here with the WR's we have(maybe he wont with Smith either, but it's more enticing)

I would disagree.   All my points have shown they recently invested a bunch of picks and are young at WR...with the idea that new coaching could help them.  There is no investment recently at DL as far as draft picks and youth.

Fallen behind Waddle is a again a matter of opinion and if he is gone(since you know he is better) then we should just pass on WR 3? We EFFED that same thing up last year

But Joe there is little TALENT there. When they were drafted we had Djax and Alshon. Now we have ZIP. Our WR's are PS players and 1 guy another team rejected and a round 1 pick who looks like a round 5

That was in the 20s.  Last year "speed "was the theme and the idea was to compete for something...Very different situation this year.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Heisman_Trophy_winners   Recents- ONE RB, ONE WR the rest QB's so how can you say Heisman WR's fail?????

I said Heisman players track record in general isn’t great nothing of specific position... But at the same can’t be an indication of succes then either if you don’t have anyone of recent to compare to it goes both ways

Right,so how did the RB who won it turn out? Everyone post Manziel seems to have done ok

An opinion that is being widely accepted and agreed upon. Again there is a reason Smith is falling

Started off extremely slow and just found his stride and is also massive...

By whom???

That great this isn’t college any more plenty of college player won the Heisman and failed in the nfl

Non QB Players that won the Heisman in the past 25 years:

Derrick Henry RB

Mark Ingram

Reggie Bush

Ron Dayne

Ricky Williams

Charles Woodson

All but Dayne had some success I think.... Who wouldn't want any of the other 5 on their roster?

But you ate going off a 2020 dumpster fire season... where we know the old regime couldn't develop WRs. These are year 2 guys with a coaching staff that specializes in that position group.

It's more of an unknown.  Plus, you see it ny wanting to play Hurts to se what he has and if worth the investment....why is it different with WR?

And yet still... there isn't even a young guy on the DL at all, that could develop... nobody that was drafted?

Let's say a young WR steps up.  And let's say Sweat steps up.    The WR is here for 2 more years,  Sweat could be lost in free agency.

Still believe CB is the biggest need. However, if one of the top 3 WR's is there, think we take him. On one hand we have JL & HR talking up some of the WR's we have. On the other we have them wanting Hurts to succeed.

Maybe the picks should go CB, OL, WR?

Bush didn’t really find success until after he left NO, Ingram took what 5 years to do anything, Henry was in what year 3. How about Desmond Howard the last WR that won the Heisman how he fare.

Idk do you guys have the patience’s to wait 3-5 years for Smith to hit a decent stride

The dumpster fire was because we couldnt keep Djax or Alshon on the field, that doesn't excuse the fact we lack talent at WR. It needs fixed(like everything else)

Never stated that said the track record isn’t great for them... But Mazial failed, Winston failed, Mariota failed, Tebow failed, Bush wasn’t much of a success for NO definitively a fail in terms of where he was picked.

So any lineman on that Heisman list??? Not saying none deserved not to be,but none are

I don't want Smith. I just think the Heisman does mean something if the player was not a QB. But I also feel a 165 lb WR is not who I want to spend a 12th pick on

Yep your fail list is 100% QB's which we all know is the premier spot to fail if you're going to fail. Im talking POST manziel,I'm not going back to 1933 ok

I think it means you were the best player in college football that year doesn’t mean jack at the nfl level. Things you can do in college doesn’t always translate to the NFL... And trying to use that as a par to say a guy will succeed in the NfL I don’t agree with.

Well, I agree it is a different situation in that we need almost every position. So they should take the best play period, we need almost anyone...

Then how did he make the list, let alone win it if there were "issues"??? He beat out lawrence

See Daniel Jeremiah's latest mock has dullass taking Paye, we get Surtain - I'll take that!
