Just more speculation on my part here but I’d image we likely already have a loose agreement in place for a trade up if player X falls. I’d think it would be for either the 7th or 8th pick and as stupid as it might sound wouldn’t be shocked if it is with Miami at 6

I somewhat doubt this is the case. We moved back to 12 for a reason, and that was to preserve draft capital for next year. I doubt that anything has changed since we made that trade that would make them move back up.

We have to be realistic. We aren't a Kyle Pitts or Jamar Chase away from contending. And if we add one of those guys and Hurts isn't the answer at QB, we have likely tanked their career by diminishing our chances of getting a qb.

Someone perfectly fine is going to be there at 12 (Slater, Smith, Waddle, Surtain, Horn, Barmore or Paye), and we need our second and third round picks to fill other holes on the roster.

Losing our minds over one player would be the absolute worst case scenario.

Except this rumor has been swirling for awhile now and generally speaking where there is smoke there is fire. I know we love to try to think logically but it’s Howie and the Eagles 

But again if we really want to be realistic on Philly then we have to go to there core philosophies building inside out and over valuing QB.... So most logical pick for us would be on the lines if we stay or trade back and if we opt the move up QB.

Is it possible we only accepted the trade with a secret stipulation?  Like if Chase or Pitts fall.....we get the pick back at certain price.

Welp, I look at it differently. As I said before if you want to woo a FA QB OR take one high next year,you need some dang offensive pieces with talent. Noone said we were 1 player away from contention, but if we don't get talent in here we won't contend for 5 years. We have 1 maybe "star" in Sanders and??????? Ertz will be gone next year. MAYBE Reagor steps up(that 1/3 WR we have) and your round 1 pick is a possible 5 years(with option). I dont really give a squat what our record is this year,but if we don't get some star quality talent in here we will remain in the NFCE basement many years after this one. We have staff from FL(who I assume know how to use him) and as most say Pitts is a generational talent. I would move for him,but not a QB. If Wentz does well,which we also assume he will,we have 3 round 1 picks next year. If you spend one now on Pitts, you still have enough draft capital to move for a QB next year if that need is there. We'll never find out what Hurts can do if we never give him weapons(see Wentz).I'm sure we add youth to the lines,we need it,add a CB,LB. We have 11 picks,this is like a double draft, so get me the best guy in round 1 whomever that is. ATL is in a great position,but really they don;t need a QB right now in this draft,but they could take one to plan ahead,or be locked on Pitts, so IDK what we'd have to give to ATL to move to 4,but if we want Pitts, thats where we need to go

It will kind of lose some steam when he goes out there and yells to Cleveland fans, "And your franchise is so bad, you failed to draft Carson Wentz, which we have now turned into a third round pick this year, and a conditional second round pick next year."

If it's Pitts I believe we would need to trade with ATL. Maybe Ertz is tossed into that deal(if they are looking at Pitts anyway)

At any rate, ATL holds the cards and keys to the top 10-12 players. I'm sure they would want a boatload from us to move to 4. IDK that Howie would go that far, but, its Howie and he loves splashing, making waves and generally messing with people's heads(like a 4 year old who escaped outside to splash in street puddles). Is Pitts worth it? IDK, I am just a spectator. The fan in me says yes, depending on what they demand from us. Logic says "don't give up that much" but maybe Ertz could be part of that deal(or even Hurts for that matter). Interesting year!!!!!!

I’d sooner keep those picks to use to restock the roster than package them to move up for any player.  There isn’t a single player I’d give up the farm for.
