I heard that Fields is equal to Hurts. Not sure I want that if this is the case....

Fields is all over the place tough to rate some still say he is the hands down 2nd best QB in the class others saying he is 5th.

Definitely had a fall from grace becazue he started as the 1B to Lawrence

If Atl takes a QB,the entire draft will go insane

They are definitely the team that will set off a domino effect with their pick.

I don't know I didn't do the analysis and don't have plans to.

Welp, then it's pointless to say round 2 WR are as good as round 1's and thats a reason to take a CB in round 1🤣

SO,IDK we need everything. It's a sad display of how poorly run this team is. The SB was a star and planet aligned FLUKE

I have to SMH when I see college teams who are continuously in post season/bowl games. They can't re-sign players, yet every year there they are contending. They don't even pick their players, they use what the school recruits for them, every year they make it work. Bama,Clemson,OSU, LSU, Georgia. None have really fallen away, but somehow we can't do that here(despite trying the Chip experiment) Smaller schools like Cincy, BYU, UFC, Maimi don't even get the top recruits, yet come draft day they put players on the radar. So IDK why we fail year after year. It's sad and annoying as a fan. I suppose on the converse, few players leave and you have them for 4-5 years once you locate them(so yes freshmilk I will argue with myself if I choose to)

Tougher this year due to no combine(where you really see side by side comparisons),that to me  explains why mocks are everywhere also

100 player roster helps. So does winning as high prospects want to go to those schools. Then there are all the parity rules in the NFL. Much easier w/ all the advantages in the college game.

UCF isn't that old, so how do they contend every year? Like an expansion team, they start with nothing. Wondering what Cincy could crank out if they got all OSU's players lol

Yeah good point here since players are not assigned to schools(like as in the draft order)

What would you be using to measure success of a CB ... INTs?  PDs?  Completion percentage against?  Yards given up?  Now I am intrigued and thinking about doing a similar kind of analysis as King did lol.

Top QBs don’t usually do anything in the combine anyway most don’t even throw anymore.

Biggest part of the combine that's missed is a part we never get to see - the interviews. That and the behind the scenes talks/business w/ other teams

Not saying you are wrong cause IDK myself. I would think the reverse criteria he used to decide the WR "stats"

we're not taking a QB at 12

I'm just wondering if whatever criteria is used if the stats show the same similarity as King says WR's do. I would think the stats could also be skewed by if they changed teams. I mean we see time and again where "bad" WR's and CB's succeed elsewhere and top ones can't cut it in their new location. Kinda interesting to find out. I'm assuming he went back to 2016 because this is 2021 and that is a rook 5 year contract usually, so that part makes sense

Won't know until Thurs night, see who drops and what the trade offers are vs our board - or will it be HR's board? We'll see.

Know one thing for sure - it won't get here fast enough!

This WR fiasco(and make no mistake it's a fiasco) forces us to always hit FA because we fail to develop the ones we draft. So maybe y'all are right, just give up on that position and pick off more FA's(cause thats what we DO). If thats the case,no need for a WR at all this draft, since it's a pointless effort in futility

Right... focus on building the defense

Here is my issue in a nutshell. OK we lost Wentz (because we failed to give him a team),so now rinse and repeat with Hurts. Same old BS. Don't care if it's Hurts or a new QB next year,if you don't give them weapons they will fail. get some weapons in here, not for this year, but so they can grow and learn. Without them Hurts is guaranteed to be gone next year and we'll bring in the next "god he will save us from lack of planning" QB.With no WR's, do you think this team would appeal to say Wilson or any other decent FA QB? I will stick out my neck and say NOPE. If it doesn't appeal to a FA QB,what are your chances with a rook??

Right, it's why you give Hurts 2 years... but also let's see how the young WRs develop.   The defense and specifically DL need some youth and talent.   WR, we could go free agent in 2023 after seeing how the youth develops.  At that point you can make the move for a QB too.   Get things in place to start competing by 2024-25.

Lmao had nothing to do with QB and us we were talking fields and his fall

This won’t happen at best Hurts has 1 year

Well, My issue is just draft someone that will start! You are assuming they will draft a player you have picked out. When was the last time that happened?

I just want a solid player that has possible All Pro in the future... Heck, just get me solid starters!  I can't be picky with this team....

Intangibles through the roof.  Lol

I’m just being honest we all know of Hurts is bad/sub par Lurie isn’t going to sit a 2nd year with him as his QB

Just like any other player that's on the board - take him, pass or field trade calls.

The team loves him... all positive.   The excuses will be pouring out at the same level as the intangibles.  They win 7 or 8 games,  he gets the job again next year.  And I think for sure it can happen if the key linemen on both sides of the ball stay healthy.

You can tell Lurie knows what's up.   He just doesn't like to admit it.  If Hurts just gets anything positive media wise... it's enough to keep interest in the team shooting for that Bronze medal.   You just can teach this kind of intangible!!! Lol
