Well, My issue is just draft someone that will start! You are assuming they will draft a player you have picked out. When was the last time that happened?

I just want a solid player that has possible All Pro in the future... Heck, just get me solid starters!  I can't be picky with this team....

Exactly, just keep it simple. Don’t force anything.

Intangibles through the roof.  Lol

Those are key at that position. Look at all the huge cannon arms that fail. Need more than that to lead a team at QB.

I’m just being honest we all know of Hurts is bad/sub par Lurie isn’t going to sit a 2nd year with him as his QB

This is his second year. But I’ll assume you mean as The Guy.

The team loves him... all positive.   The excuses will be pouring out at the same level as the intangibles.  They win 7 or 8 games,  he gets the job again next year.  And I think for sure it can happen if the key linemen on both sides of the ball stay healthy.

You can tell Lurie knows what's up.   He just doesn't like to admit it.  If Hurts just gets anything positive media wise... it's enough to keep interest in the team shooting for that Bronze medal.   You just can teach this kind of intangible!!! Lol

The guy doesn’t have to be Aaron Rodgers. He just needs to improve....and yes...be a leader. Let the playmakers...make the plays.

Interesting article in NFL website from Next Gen stats. They list 6 players as  "can't Miss" Players.

Lawrence,

Pitts

Chase,

Surtain,

Horn,

Parsons,

And Toney! - Here is a WR that is projected late 1st round. I find that interesting.....

All of the defensive Players I would take over any other Offensive players, so I am in agreement on the 1st five listed.....

Is Horn really of that level? Or did he get pushed up because Farley had back surgery? Seemed like he was an early second rounder at the end of the season.

Jimmy G not getting them anything close to what they gave up likely wouldn’t even get a 2nd for him. So really no point in rushing trade he will definitely get moved at some point but again if they went Lance they wouldn’t have to rush it

I never said he’d get all those picks back. But a second and third rounder would be huge considering they don’t have first round picks.

Biggest part of the combine that's missed is a part we never get to see - the interviews. That and the behind the scenes talks/business w/ other teams

So you’re not buying the importance of Rock, Paper Scissors over Zoom?

Did see a scenario where we trade Ertz to the Bills to move up into the 1st rd.

Can always designate the trade post June 1st, saves us 3.5 mill

They not getting anything close to that 3rd seem best case for Jimmy G thinking more like a 4th or 5th

This WR fiasco(and make no mistake it's a fiasco) forces us to always hit FA because we fail to develop the ones we draft. So maybe y'all are right, just give up on that position and pick off more FA's(cause thats what we DO). If thats the case,no need for a WR at all this draft, since it's a pointless effort in futility

I wouldn't go that far.  Who knows how good player development will be under this new coaching staff.  For some positions (WR and CB specifically) it can't get much worse than the previous regime.

I like Toney quite a bit and think he'd be a huge upgrade over Ward in the slot.  More playmaking ability.

What is the definition of "can't miss"???

Yes... it's a question.   But you know what's not a question.   The fact that we do not have any DL under contract past this season... except Graham,Cox and Hargrave.    No youth.  That isn't a question.

So my question about the questions... isn't it better to find out if the young guys can play at a position where you actually have young guys?   Incase they can play, then you just added to another position.  If they can't play, then you still added to another position and then you can go address it.

As you say... we need everything... so why not look at the roster at positions where you do not have young guys...  and get some young guys?

With 11 picks I'm sure we will get young guys, thats 1/5 th of the roster almost

Foolish seems really harsh. I’m sure there are plenty of studs at all positions in this draft. Just get a beast. Taking a WR in the second followed by a first rounder...,makes it really hard to draft a WR in the first. Plus supposedly our HC forte is developing WR. We have plenty of young talent on board that needs developing.

Right we're going to turn those round 6 and PS WR's into Lynn Swann and TO.. I'm really excited to see this. I can't wait to see this transition(hint,if the talent is not there you are wasting your assets)

Reagor will be fine. Hightower not sure but he’s looking serviceable with improvement. Watkins should fit in this O great.

Right, and Jjaw will be fine too. I'm waiting to see this immense transition to twin 1500 yard receivers. Make it happen Siri!!!!

"Heart, we need heart" Ham has it, we're good, no need for a top WR. Load up that defense and let Hurts wing it to our newly crowned 1500 yard receivers. We going post season,I can feel it 🙄 We have all the talent we need at WR

Hey we got a second next year plus for Wentz....seems like a small price for a QB. You want Cam ....or your boy G? I think even for Bellicheat it’s a easy choice

I really think a decent share of the blame is on Wentz. Everybody got in his doghouse so quickly. He just wasn’t That Guy. We had bad WR coaches. I’ll go there. Promoted our one great WR coach to OC. So there is that. But Wentz kind of had to have that established guy to make him respect and trust. We saw it when Alshon came in. We didn’t see it...but heard about it with DJax. Ertz was his old reliable. Otherwise I think we can all agree.....everyone else was underutilized around Wentz.

I think that’s even an understatement. The Cowboys were so dangerous when he was in control of the D. Pretty much fodder when he was missing. I know he was the enemy. But I have a ton of respect for the guy. I guess I’m thankful for his punishment....otherwise we would have been screwed!

That could (and likely does) explain lack of perceived progression/development of young WRs but obviously not CBs.

I believe redemption is at hand. Got so much draft ammo he almost can’t lose. He survived the very obvious reason to face the gullotine. I’ve obviously been alone in my ****ing about him for years. Seems everyone gets it now. But now I’m on my own again probably...because with  the best draft capital ever...I think he won’t completely screw it up.
