Dak has always had a team around him on offense. Zeke and always a nice WR or 2. Did we provide that for Wentz? Will we provide that for Hurts?

Good point!

Well we had that game 1 before both our FA "stars" went down". So, IDK how Dak would do without Zeke and all PS WR's and 14 different O lines in 16 games. I'm sure Wentz will do fine in Indy. Time to fuggeddabout it. Looking back won;t change anything, but maybe looking back will wake Howie up out of his draft coma

Hey at least Suds is outta here. IDK why we bothered keeping him around for years on end, since we had to even "employ" McCown while he was rostered. Sorry guys, but that right there is a FAIL because I can find a UDFA QB every year who can play better than Suds did. So it's a 3rd string QB,not real important, but the fact remains is was a fail even on that LOW level. If you can't figure out the piddly stuff  like that BS, how you gonna go large????

Ditto. I thought same about how well would other QB's fare - even top shelf guys - not just Dak if the team was as decimated as our Birds. I think Indy will be even better with Wentz. I'm predicting Indy will be 3rd seed. Nope, can't look back! Have to keep going ------->. No other way around it if you're in the realm of reality.

Actually I was fairly amazed we won 4 games HAHAHA(ugh)

OT. I will go out on a limb, and say GB takes Bateman and they turn him into a top WR

He didn’t hold the ball to long he was running and got down and hit in the head helmet to helmet... What we all thought Wentz could be he was and when he is it again in Indy we will look stupid. Reality is Eagles Howie etc Fed up and will look stupid when Wentz is killing it in Indy

So you are in the belief that Indy now wins the Super Bowl because they got Wentz? They were a great team with a QB that was washed up so much he had to retire. I’m not with you on this!

He always held the ball too long. C’mon man! He never understood...just throw it away and live to okay another play. Kind of what we love about him...but also what is terrible.

Wentz should have thrown the ball away on his concussion only playoff game. It was a dirty hit by Clowney. I definitely feel that way. He’s an elite athlete that took advantage. Passed about it. Stilllll. But.......there it is again..,at least I’m consistent...he should have already thrown the ball away on that play. Just don’t give them the opportunity. Sadly true. I wanted Wentz to be the savior. I think he’s got tons of talent. But....dammit...can’t help myself...the guy is missing this crucial...oh No Mas hates this....intangibles. Did you not see the team galvanize and bond to win the Sb? Did you not see our team rise up when he went out in 2018? They went on a tear to make the playoffs....we were not good then. I’ll give Wentz his highs. Had several great games in 2017. Had five good games in2019. But we aren’t talking the majority of his career here. Unfortunately .....plenty of lows. I’m not going to put all the blame for every loss on him. But we won more with a backup than we won with him. That’s just fact. Sadly! Who did Wentz bring up and make better ....other than maybe Ertz? Is being a leader solely based on being tall and having a big arm? I just don’t think so. Huge ceiling! But it really never materialized. Honestly I believe it’s because of some missing elements from him. Like I said...I’m not a hater. He’s overall a pretty good human. Very talented. But it’s just undeniable...he’s missing key ingredients. Hopefully he was humbled enough to change and make good in Indy. Not sure that him getting humbled and bettering himself in Indy has much to do with who he was here. Wish him well. Just wasn’t seeing that ever happening here. Not after everything that went on in his career.

Yes he should throw the ball away more but he was running AND WAS DOWN the hit should never have happened can’t control that... Those hits are what the NFL refs are supposed to protect players from a down player getting hit by a cheap shot in the head.

I have no issues with a QB that runs Rodgers runs and extends plays all day bet if that Clowney hit happens to him a flag is called and Clowney is ejected though.

I mean...I agree ...but he was third string. Who’s winning with third string QB anyway? I’ve always argued with No Mas about depth and the Preseason....but it’s not about third string..,it’s about making the roster so you can show you are more. I was a big fan of Singleton. Thought he showed something. Only earned Practice Squad initially. But he showed when he got the opportunity. I’d really argue every freaking time! Third string QB in Suds....what are we talking about here. Nobody really failed because our cheap third string QB didn’t materialize. Plenty of things to bash the team for on decisions. Just not going there over SUDs. You make better arguments all day long than bashing our choice for THIRD string QB. Actually I’m calling him CAREER third stringer.

Did we not see the team go what 13-1 under Wentz in 2017 did we not see the team and Wentz win down the stretch in 2019 to make the playoffs... did we not see a team that was equally as terrible in 2020 even under Hurts(actually the team was worse under Hurts)???

But we don’t want to face the fact Hurts was terrible it’s the team was bad

Phillip Rivers had 4,169 yards passing and 24 TD s and — interceptions playing there and knew he was washed up and had to retire. So I’ll take that bet that you think Wemtzwill blow away the numbers of a guy who was washed up

Do I think Indy is in contention to win the SB with Wentz yes. Do I think Wentz plays at his 17-19 levels yes. Do I think Wentz will be far superior to Hurts yes. Do I think Wentz will be far superior to Jimmy G yes.

Am I going to say 100% for sure Colts are winning the SB.m no because it’s football anything can happen but like I did with Tamba and Brady I think Wentz makes Indy a legit contender

The point was Ham if you cant fix this minor problem finding a decent QB3 in 5 years,it will be tough sledding making anyone else effective using the staff you have. If you cant recognize a SUCK QB3 and make THAT better, it's hard to trust you can fix bigger issues. So if he was good and he was rostered, and we paid him(the amount doesn't matter),why did we have to employ McCown as an "emergency QB"??????  The theory behind QB 3 is to find someone who could eventually be your 2 and in 5 years that never happened. It's not that I am harping on QB3,what I am harping on is we failed to fix that minute(and relatively easy) thing

All I want is cheese steaks for a year brother……………your choice LOL. And not surpass Rivers' numbers. LOL "THE BET" is - AND WAS -  Indy will be a better team and have a better season than the former.

I don’t really disagree here. I acknowledged his highs. But are you just going to bully through and ignore the lows? 2016? He was a rookie. We give him a pass. Not great. You bash Hurts for his four starts as a rookie but give Wentz a pass? Seems weak on your part. I’d easily argue Wentz was working with much more than Hurts his rookie season. Of coarse you skipped right passed 2018...all too conveniently for you. Because the team want looking good at all with Wentz. Actually caught a little fire once he was benched(injured) and Foles came in. I’m not going to say Foles is the greatest. But you saw it. We all saw it. The team really picked up and galvanized every time Wentz went down. Is what it is. What I don’t believe is that it’s even arguable. Clear as day. All those intangibles No Mas jokes about matter. The fact he thought our 2017 team was the most talented team in the history of the NFL...is not fact. That team would die for each other. 2018 after Wentz went down we saw it again. Even our terrible 2020 team ....they sucked....but you saw everybody step it up when Wentz finally got benched. Sorry....but this all happened. It felt like even the defense players got a spark when Hurts took over. Pretty damning for Wentz in my book. The guy lost the whole team. There was no coming back. No Mas can talk about Wentz wanting out of the train wreck. Easy enough to make that point. But there was no way for Wentz to even come back. Not possible. I’m not privy to the actual locker room....but we all saw it.

What team? it was fairly apparent we didn't field one. BOTH QB's won 1/4 games they played

Cool. So I got you on record that he blows away the 4,169 yards 24 TDs with 11 interceptions by the QB that knew he was washed up by posting that season last year. We’ll see!
You won’t commit to SB victory! Which should be easy if you upgrade a very good team from need to retire QB to the great Wentz...

IDK Ham Wentz to Hurts is like banging your head against the wall. It feels alot better when you stop, so the excitement is short lived as you bleed on the rug 🤣

Yeah...I really don’t see your point. So our third stringer wasn’t great? Wow. I’d like to every third stringer to rise up to stardom. But that very rare. I’m more concerned about paying the starter boatloads and him sucking. What third string QB is great? I’ll wait for your answer.

Also I believe they would've won…………MAYBE 3 more games. Too me it's simple. Wentz quit giving "all heart".

Answer-Apparently they are good enough that other teams don't need to employ an "emergency QB"
