So basically what not to do will likely be what Howie will do

Im sticking with my guesses of...

QB on a trade up

OL at 12

And DL on a trade back

I like it... except I would still lean toward DL at 12.

It possible just think the OL value is better at 12 then DL

A move back and we'd have to look at Marshall and Toney

2.5 days to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(that's 24 pages of BS on this board left to write lol)

The board is the best right after pick 1 is made.  Since we can't pick all of the best WR, CB, Parsons,  Pitts,  get a QB or improve both lines.... the criticisms come in for who we don't get.   Always entertaining.

Beauty is we have 3 more picks in the top 100,so we can still nail some good players. Could go D line with both 3's I suppose and avoid LB once again CB, WR D line LB if we want to get youth everywhere(no particular order). But I hope we address all 4 of those spots

Agree .... just think Mailata, Herbig,Seumalo, Driscoll possibly Dillard ..  offer enough youth at this time compared to nothing on defense... plus knowing they look ahead with the salary cap and try to get cheap rookie deals.   I would think they have a decent chance of passing up a slightly better rated player.

Or should I say... they will artificially inflate the rating for the DL.

I think day 2 and day 3 will ultimately end up being way more important than the first pick.  And it's not even close.  They need to hit those picks.

Really I would be(more_ fine if we moved back and took TOney or marshall and added another pick

Agreed. Even that 4 pick we can get someone who can contribute right away Moving back and taking a WR with an added 2 pick sure works for me(Marshall,Bateman,Toney I would take late 1 NP)

My mind is not even on WR.

This would be the logical stand point but I look at a team that loves to over correct. Mailiata gave up 7 sacks last year, Dillard we seem to have give up on, reports were already out there that we wanted to try and move Brooks(though we did rework him so might not now).

I just called can’t rule Out and OL pick it just screams a Howie pick

How you'd have a decent WR prospect in here and still have 5 picks in the top 100

Mine is because this is a terrific class and reagor can't do this alone

I'll trade back and take one of those 3 WR's I mentioned, pick up another 2(maybe more) and stock my defense/O line with those. basically a free pick

I swear we have a great WR class every year now feel like we have had 3-4 years of great WR classes and still haven’t landed a WR

Oh I am not discounting it.... to me I have it 2nd on what I think they do.  The only thing is that it does seem that OL is legit in the rankings around 12.   DL seems like it's a little further down... which that seems more like Howie doesn't it?  Taking a 18 -20 ranked guy at 12.

With the move back I got a very nice WR and I still have 4 more picks in the top 100

You'd figure the blind squirrel expression would have come into play eventually, but ... Howie.

SInce we are out of the Pitts lottery taking TOney would make sense and give our staff a little familiarity

And you can bet that's an option.  Just like Howie/ Lurie taking the position they value at the line of scrimmage and getting that extra pick.

I think allot of people are going to be surprised this year. I feel we do not stick to the old basics this year. So O-Line and D-Line will not be the pick unless that is the highest rated player. From what I can tell, only Sewell is rated higher than 13. Just a feeling I have. I have been wrong almost every year with this draft so not afraid to make a statement like this one lol

Most likely WR/CB/LB and possibly QB (UGH!) will be the pick at 12. Pick could change if we move though....

Yeah, I have been reading alot of OPINIONS and most say WR is the biggest hole followed by CB(this is not to "win now" they are just caverns on our roster) I tend to agree with that, but yeah we need to add youth to the lines,no question

Dream scenario inadvertently for us by D Woody & J Saturday ( both ex-Pats, the area I live in ;(  ) is Pats trading up w/ dullass for a QB. That's possibly 5 QB's in the top 10 - woo-hooh!

That's my hope as well, that 2 more teams trade up between 4-11 to take a QB pushing non-QBs down to us.  Obviously Dallas being one team that trades back is best ... that should push a CB down (assuming that is the position they will target).
