We could really hit defenders with some speed. We could start out the season with him and DJax opposite each other. Stretching the defense!
Imagine how much room that gives the TE and RBs. Sanders and Scott will destroy single defenders in any open space.

Yeah,is Alshon a GO for week 1? I have heard no updates so getting Goodwin was a good move to open the season

Huh?.Is everyone on the staff right 100% of the time? Is anyone right 100% of the time?

I tell my wife I'm right 100% of the time. :)

Funny, mine says she is!

Hate to jump in here but the ABSOLUTE LAST Thing I want to see in 2020 is Peters playing on the Edge.

He was Elite for a decade and a half. Truth is with time even big men lose foot speed. Peters will be a great asset just with size on the inside, maybe ask him to pull a "little" bit but to put him on the Island on EITHER side and ask him to keep his balance against what the NFL has coming at him is a BAD idea. If Peters Isn't Playing GUARD, we really have little use for him going forward.

Some of us have been talking about Peters playing guard for a couple of years now. We just thought it would be LG which would make him an on field coach for Dillard. The Brooks injury put a stop to that.

That’s why we let him walk. That was the right call in my perspective. Like I said, could have moved on from him years ago and it would have been wise, really.

So he is playing longer than Michael Bennett.    WE all get things right and wrong hunh?   IMO a great release by the Eagles to get out from under that deal.

The Swing would be the icing if he could do it. Dillard isn’t moving to RT. Seems cemented at this point. Probably say Seumalo is our next best RT. So having JP backup both T spots would be the most worthy of the signing. How I see it anyway.

I would assume Pryor would go to RT if Lane is out.  Seems like we are playing semantics here... seems everyone has the top 6 OL ... Dillard, Kelce, Lane .. any combo of Isaac, Peters and Pryor.  All have different and great ideas of what happens when someone gets hurt .... not sure why you would want to start it that way though.  Why play a lineup that isn't your best?  I would assume you sign Peters because you think he is one of your starting 5 ... I assume you would want to play with your best 5.   Then you adjust after and if an injury occurs.  Lets say we have 2017 luck with OL injuries...

Most think Alshon will start the season on PUP. Meaning looking more like second half of the season for him.

He’s not an elite T anymore....but he still graded out as a top twenty five-ish T last season. Sixty four starting T plus their backups that played. So....when healthy he’s still more than serviceable.

OK It was a severe downsize for me,so a little trouble finding homes for things lol.But it's brand new,so I have no worries.Have a bit over an acre most is back yard,so I have my "space".Learning my way around,I get alot of "you can't get there from here" HAHAHAHA. A string of small towns,so it's peaceful here.Nice neighbors, but my Eagles signs are in the windows 😁

Anyway,we can't call them the skinnies anymore I guess lol.So they are the "TFW"(team from Washington) very stupid-pandering morons.I'm curious what the logo will be now-whatever

So what’s he do if he doesn’t win the RG job? Are we going to be forced to start him and hope he improves with time? Seems very likely scenario.

I tell you what.  You like to anticipate who is going to win jobs.   Lets have ti play out.  I assume since he Eagles put out the announcement with him having a "G" at his position, they tyhink he  has a good shot at being the starter.  you are anticipating that Pryor is better?  They aren't.  Either way, the best players play... my point, the sell to him would be the opportunity to win that job and play between Kelce and Lane as to why he would sign.  To not forfeit an opportunity to play... like you are so rrady for him to do.  Obviously a man of his accomplishments thinks he can win the job right?     But yeah... I say let the best players play... from the start without all these other ideas about injuries etc.  Once the injuries come, then we adjust if needed.  But yeah, if Pryor earns it now... like now, not potential for 2023 season..  then he starts 100%.

It’s a truncated TC with no PS games. Really isn’t an opportunity to win anything. Just who they decide are the starters.

Other off seasons...I like the "let it play itself out ideas.”

Welp I will disagree(no shock here lol).We knew/felt JP was losing a step at LT,but we also knew he wanted to play still, yet we didn't want to pay him LT money. So,the best thhng for all concerned was to release him,let him see if another team would take a shot at him at LT.There obviously were no takers.Possibly other teams offered him OG spots(who knows). But he knows the Eagles linemen and org.He know he gets along well with everyone and is a locker room "fit".He/we are also aware he could mentor Dillard at his old position while still getting another shot at a ring.Moving from OT to OG is not all that difficult.Moving from left to right is MORE difficult, but he is an experienced pro.A few practices to see the small nuances of moving to a different side won't bother an experienced pro much.Just 5 short months ago he was our starting LT.Can't tell me he ran out of gas in 5 months removed for a pro bowl OT.So,like me,he decided to "downsize".OG won't be as physically taxing as OLT and the staff already knows how strong he is.Add all that up,then weigh the fact you may have put a pro bowl OG on your team, for less than you would normally pay a decent one. and he needs no coaching other than learning the few little tricks by changing sides.Kelce,JP,Lane will give us a sweet power run right side,Toss in  Goedert just behind the line, and even I could run that ball behind Goedert, lane and JP.On TE plays(single TE) then you have Ertz and maybe we drop in Pryor for those plays. We can do alot of in game alterations for personnel depending who we play and what we ask them to do JP and Pryor could actually split the snaps. My thoughts are with this power right side(in theory that would set Sanders up for a stud stat year) and would be nice for Scott to have those 3 opening holes on him on the right also .Since we pulled JP back out of his abyss,we decided he was worth that money. So my gut says he starts or there was no reason to pay him what we did

Pre-season cancelled, but there will be training camp.Sounds like a perfect storm for early season injuries.Wonderful

We know we wouldn’t spend two first round picks on a S...just so we could overpay him.

Nice deal for the Jets.McDougal is probably adequate enough for them while they rebuild and 2- 1's and a 3rd really help in that regard for a player they didn't get along with anyway
