Good case to get some corners

IDK Joe, the "see what we have" thing is kind of off kilter. What did you see last year that makes you believe these PS WR's are going to the HOF in 2 years? Maybe we watched different games, but I saw PS WR's exceeding their potential and nothing more. DO I need to see another year of this?

I think the case to add WR talent mostly rides on not leaving Hurts out to dry. To actually give him a legit opportunity to see what he can do.

They've kicked the can down the road so many times with Lane that he is practically impossible to move right now.  Using a pre June 1 designation would result in $29.4M in dead money against the 2021 cap.  Using a post June 1 designation lowers that to $8.1M but then pushes $20M dead money on to the 2022 cap that has already dwindled significantly due to all of the restructures to free up space to get under the 2021 cap and from having used the post June 1 designations when cutting Malik Jackson and Jeffery.

But does it actually save on the cap space?    Does it open up more room.   Dead money isn't the issue.   It's why Wentz was easily tradeable.  They saved $900k immediately and got him off the books.     What does trading Lane do to the immediate cap?

But that said, in no way does he get traded before June 1. The Eagles will drill over depth at a premier position and build up trade offers over time.   Lane will get injured right before the trade deadline and lower his value... we know the drill.

Sure it's all up in the air. My point is we need high(er) ceiling talent no matter if it's Hurts or anyone else. Won't be able to rely on Ertz either more than likely

Don’t think any QB is throwing for over 4K yards with this WR cast. It was pretty remarkable Hurts threw over 330 yards in two of his three starts last year.

Which makes the point we need to upgrade the talent

Reagor has huge ceiling potential. Not sure where you would limit Hightower ceiling either. Really think Watkins has a massive ceiling. We saw Fulgham has a huge ceiling. How close any of them get to that is anyone’s guess.

Across the whole team

Right, so I will take a WR somewhere. It's not about quantity(which we have now) it's about quality

Sure but game 1 is still a game with a W or an L attached to it. SO aren't your game 1 guys normally your starters barring injury???

Who cares!   What are you playing for? They are playing to earn jobs.  So play one guy the first play and change it for play #2.   Who cares.  They all play.  Tryout for the future using all the games. No starters or backups.   Why so obsessed with it?

Why are you obsessed with it??? Camp and pre season was to sort through those guys, the final interviews, to find the guys who will play for you. This isn't hard to understand. If I have DT 4,I'm gonna pull my other 2/3 just so he can play?

Only  question for me Joe is the talent level they have to work with. You can do well and put lipstick on a pig, but you aren't going to find an elite in this group(not this year but down the road), so for me that's the issue. I'm fine not taking a WR early, unless there is one with elite potential(which I also know is a crapshoot)

GB..... I know you are obsessed with WR... Jefferson and JJAW....etc.  let it go.   Let's see if we can get a number 2 , 3 or 4 WR out if this group. We can address getting the #1 guy later.   They were rookies last year in a Covid off-season.  With a staff that was brutal in development.   Let's just have some patience.  It's one of many positions on the roster.  Focus bigger picture and Let's see what we have.

Drafts tomorrow lol

Welp, as of now I'm not buying this. His rookie performance was dismal, but any account. 400 yards is PS material. SHOW ME THE MONEY

With 11 picks we will,it's only a question of where for me

Why do you assume we will make 11 picks.  Nothing set in stone.  One trade up could cost us 3 picks.

Right,I am not shooting for WR#1 And am merely wanting to get the slot guy I can live with for the next 5 years,so I can check off that box

Great order more lipstick to put on those pigs lol. We get burned on defense because other teams draft or acquire elite WR talent. I hope Fulgham is Amari Cooper this year

Why do you keep obsessing about THIS YEAR?

For the speculation of the day read reports we love Waddle and Paye... Also there is interest in Fields from our FO.

we could have 14 picks who knows. Just going by what we have right now instead of running off for pages about possible trade scenarios

To get the pieces in place, get them some experience for the NEXT / following years(isnt that why we draft at all???)

Because the pieces you draft today make your team tomorrow. You cant flip a switch and be a contender later unless you get these players in THIS year

But by game 1 you know who is ion the rotation yes??? If not you better figure out your players before the season starts

Why?   Lol.   So invested for one play of game 1.  This team stinks... every young guy should get opportunity.

I'll start play 1... Ham can have the other outside WR spot... then we can come out to let the young guys play.   If it's a handoff to Sanders is it going to define their careers?    Lol.

Show me a WR that was producing more when dealing with injury in this offense last year. He’s a speed guy that got injured in TC and then again early in the season. Speed guys rely on their wheels more than the others. I was disappointed in Reagor lining up incorrectly and seemingly having a slow learning curve on his route adjustments. I saw him open plenty though. Oline didn’t hold up. Wentz wouldn’t throw him the ball. I’m not holding Reagor accountable for all that.

Cool I hope we experiment all the way to the bye week(of course morale will be shot but HEY we're letting everyone play lol)

What I would do. I’d like to make that third round pick....in a better position. Have no problem giving up a fifth and sixth to get our guy.
