Shame about Hall's injury, liked him. Ellis too, still scratching my head we won't even have him in camp. Weird these guys gone and we haven't even seen practice tape, strange year

Gotta agree. It's incomprehensible that often a team will keep a higher draft pack who hasn't really performed over a lower or undrafted player that shines in the preseason.

In the case of Hall it's just bad luck when he was injured and now the silly Covid TC rules.

I think these were all good calls on the appropriate guys to cut. Daeshon Hall showed he has some rushing prowess. He won’t be ready for a long time still recovering from that late knee injury. Have a logjam of unproven young talent at DE. It’s up to Avery, Miller and Ostman to get nasty! So this is what had to happen anyway.

Roster Moves: #Eagles have waived WR Shelton Gibson, WR Marcus Green, DE Daeshon Hall, DT Albert Huggins, and CB Tremon Smith. Think we can maybe get better guys from other teams cuts. Not that they would make the team, but could be a better selection as far as players to develop

2021 cap will be 175 million. Eagles owe 267 million of salaries for 2021 currently.

Oh my jesus

It’s a truncated TC with no PS games. Really isn’t an opportunity to win anything. Just who they decide are the starters.

We differ here... I don't think the PS games are as important as the practices as far as who wins jobs.   The preseason games for fans... not so much for coaches.

Welp I will disagree(no shock here lol).We knew/felt JP was losing a step at LT,but we also knew he wanted to play still, yet we didn't want to pay him LT money. So,the best thhng for all concerned was to release him,let him see if another team would take a shot at him at LT.There obviously were no takers.Possibly other teams offered him OG spots(who knows). But he knows the Eagles linemen and org.He know he gets along well with everyone and is a locker room "fit".He/we are also aware he could mentor Dillard at his old position while still getting another shot at a ring.Moving from OT to OG is not all that difficult.Moving from left to right is MORE difficult, but he is an experienced pro.A few practices to see the small nuances of moving to a different side won't bother an experienced pro much.Just 5 short months ago he was our starting LT.Can't tell me he ran out of gas in 5 months removed for a pro bowl OT.So,like me,he decided to "downsize".OG won't be as physically taxing as OLT and the staff already knows how strong he is.Add all that up,then weigh the fact you may have put a pro bowl OG on your team, for less than you would normally pay a decent one. and he needs no coaching other than learning the few little tricks by changing sides.Kelce,JP,Lane will give us a sweet power run right side,Toss in  Goedert just behind the line, and even I could run that ball behind Goedert, lane and JP.On TE plays(single TE) then you have Ertz and maybe we drop in Pryor for those plays. We can do alot of in game alterations for personnel depending who we play and what we ask them to do JP and Pryor could actually split the snaps. My thoughts are with this power right side(in theory that would set Sanders up for a stud stat year) and would be nice for Scott to have those 3 opening holes on him on the right also .Since we pulled JP back out of his abyss,we decided he was worth that money. So my gut says he starts or there was no reason to pay him what we did

I was trying to follow... not sure where I am to understand agree or disagree??   LOL

Easy there... read and understand the whole situation before putting out things like this.   This is typical stuff we see from news sources today.

Salary cap at $198 mil      .... Salary floor at $175 mil.   Which means teams need to pay that much, can't go below using the excuse for Covid.   Big difference!    Being correct more important than being first.

Over the Cap has Eagles Top 51 at Slightly less than 184 mill. So that leaves over 22 mill cap space. Not sure where all these numbers are coming from....?

Howie seems to pull a rabbit out of his hat every year

I never worry about the cap or signing free agents with him in charge.  I will say though he definitely has his work cut out for him next year.  I'm hoping he's able to restructure and manipulate his way back under.

Not that this is a huge deal, but Marquise Goodwin's cap number is wrong.  They show his SF cap number, and the Eagles renegotiated with him.  I think it's an extra $7 mil for 2021, which actually is a nice chunk.

He will get under the cap without issue.   The big chunk will be Wentz restructure.  But free agents aren't going to happen next year.  Nothing of substance anyway.

Everyone can relax now... Daeshon Hall is back!

Let me guess. Your nickname is Maytag? LOL

Didn't understand why they just didn't give Hall one of the injured designations to begin with, still wouldn't  have counted toward the roster

IDK how they will work this.If the season doesn't happen(see baseball in trouble now),then they will have to figure out how to cap adjust for a NON/shortened season.Cardboard cut outs rarely buy jerseys or hot dogs at the Linc 🤣.Since there is no pre-season are they extending the camp days/weeks?

With ya GB. Just don't see a season if the choice is between entertainment or infecting yourself and others. Figured baseball had a shot, then watched guys in the dugouts, half w/o masks. There's a lot more contact in football. They'll try to play, players will opt out, others will get infected and we'll say "what did they think would happen?" This virus will continue until we quit feeding it. Gives you time to get the new house set up! Buy a bar and make it into a NC Nest!

Well, I guess Goodwyn comes off the books this year!  More cap space to roll over...lol
