So the whole city already wants Howie fired...for bigger reasons.  But simply firing him for trading down. ...before seeing how the draft turns out, and what we get with the trade... is putting you down for.  " I called it status "

Yes I clearly am  in the I Called It Status. Been ****ing about Rosie since the 2018 offseason. Missing on Chase or Pitts falling in his lap would be the nail in

the coffin though. Everybody usually catches up to my beliefs eventually. Seems like everybody finally realized the cap he11 he created. Nobody agreed with me on this. Yet seems everybody gets it all now. It’s ok...I’m patient. Welcome aboard the what Ham thought in 2018 train. Only 2021....three years is only a lifetime in NFL years.

Fine.. keep the same starters for play #1 each game. I don't care. If it means that much to you.  I'm just talking about not adding anything to the room. I want these 6 guys to get the reps. Practice and game reps.  The first play of each game doesn't mean much to me as it does to you.

As I said I am fine letting them all compete, I am just trying to raise the talent level from "Iffy" all the way up to "maybe" You won't do that hangin on to mediocrity. If they win their job I have NP with it,but the winners out of mediocre are still mediocre

OK I can ask Howie if I can play Y this week. he owes me a favor

Sure...only on the first play though so you can have " starter" label and brag to your friends like Ham and I are doing.

What is coddling?  They play for a $hit team... trying to get a 2nd contract and a full time gig.    What is the great privilege of playing for the 2021 Eagles to where they are coddled?

Like Corey Davis and Crabtree?

IMO Jjaw is being coddled. If you can't play by now why keep kicking a dead horse. If I find someone better,I will replace him

OK I would need a participation trophy. Just a cheap plastic one will do. I can velcro this to my dashboard to impress everyone

Why aren't we in the market? Because we have nothing that would make him want to play here. You could argue if Djax and Alshon were still around(and younger), but really as far as a QB why would any of them want to play here?

But he named Chicago???? They are worlds better????

Of a city? Yes! Sorry. Even think they aren’t what him and Ciara want though. I’d think LA, Vegas, New York are more what their egos crave. Chicago and Miami would probably be the second tier. Minnesota or Buffalo wouldn’t remotely be considered.

Point is Chicago probably has better WR's than we do. Whatever his reasons are it was just an example. No FA QB wants to play here if there is a better option because we are not a better option. Not many teams have worse WR's than we do

Idk about " cap hell"    they just aren't signing free agents like we have been accustomed to doing every year.  It's perfect time to pass on free agents as you need to get younger.

The issue to me for Roseman is head up the @ss with bigger picture things.  Doing things one way...you fail... changing the way you do things...it works... then you go right back to old ways.  Dumb.

He already failed.

But we are back to square 1, so if he us here now, he gets to fail again. ( unfortunately)  so that means we have to see how Hurts, last year's and this year's drafts pan out.

If Hurts lights it up... isn't that bigger than college kids falling to 6?  I hear you...and you like to " call it" ( you are your biggest fan)  but let's fire Howie after seeing bigger failures and actually seeing if these kids can be difference makers.

Btw... I thank Howie for not getting Pitts.   First guy from high school drafted,  let alone this early... no way do I want him here!

I said your point was legit. Just pointing out Wilson’s mindset. He needs the fame. The limelight. He didn’t accept less money so they get Oline help. He needs to see himself on TV. Plans on being on TV and famous for a long time...way beyond his playing career. That guy isn’t coming to Philly...the blue collar town. I think he feels a little stuck in Seattle. They got tons of money and nice things there. Got endless techies getting 20 mil dollar bonuses. But he’s isolated way out in the NW. I think that’s killing him...probably his wife even worse. But he needs pretext to maintain his image.

JJAW being 6th WR really bothers you?  Wow you have issues.

Btw.. why do you want Russell Wilson here in 2022.  Let alone trade multiple 1sts for him?  The team isn't winning soon.  It's not the route to go.

You seem too much in a rush to get to mediocrity.  This is going to take time to get above the other teams in our division who have a bunch of players in their prime.

Robinson alone is better than all of our WRs combined.

It's amazing Foles put up like 6 points per game less than Wentz while he had Robinson.

He wants to be traded

Russel Wilson sees himself as more Hollywood. He’d never agree to coming to Philly. Not even if our offense was loaded.

I disagree there.   It's one or the other.  He would have to win to come here.  The simple mindset of GB thinking drafting one WR this year is going to change his perception is just silly.

Like thinking you can put out a fire with a glass of water.

So.... just thinking...  Ertz about to be traded... if we draft Slater and trade Lane.    Howie has a big fat ZERO left of his draft picks that are pro bowl.

That's if we consider 2012 and prior as Andy's picks?

That said.... we better draft a WR in round 2 because that would make a free agent QB want to come here next year.

Long way to go baby!

We all know we are taking a QB in this draft...again. What round is crucial.

But he survived all these screw ups already. He has the third best draft ammo this year. Has unbelievable draft ammo next season. A much as I’ve been against him ..... can’t see how he can totally screw this up. He’s gotta find somebody decent with all this...doesn’t he?

Idk about crucial.  I would expect either round 1 or day 3. Later day 3 if not UDFA.  Round 1 is the only one I could see being crucial.

Hopefully not until day 3.

Sure, but if Hurts busts... and we don't replenish the lines etc.   I  also think he gets one more free agency spending year.

Like I'm looking at this whole rebuild.  Do I have faith, nope.  But do I think it needs to be obvious to Lurie... YEP.  Will Lurie give him a couple years to see the big picture... and to admit another big picture failure... YEP.

It's why to me ... a couple years of KC vs Indy in AFC title games is the best thing that can happen to us as Eagles fans who want to see change.   That happens combined with Hurts busting and no replenishment of the aging DL.  Lurie becomes laughing stock around the league.  It will take that IMO.  Regardless of if you call it or not. Or if me and the rest of the fan base are already in agreement with you.

I don’t see your AR point of view effecting Rosie. AR was in charge of his own here. You called him the Bronze Standard Coach.

I already believe they had the big picture conversation a few years back. They knew this rebuild was coming.

Where they were wrong... they thought Doug and Wentz would be on board and be OK doing everything the way Lurie/Howie wanted.   These are the 2 big oops and things they have to adjust to.   For sure I think they had it in mind, Doug will stay and do things our way, be the puppet.  We will restructure Wentz to save huge cap space, keep Hurts as the gimmick #2 on the cheap.  They didn't anticipate the dumpster fire environment they created last offseason.    Maybe just a few of the players being upset like Jenkins and Ertz.

But big picture they are still on board with the rebuild.   One more fail and Howie is out though.  But I'm talking 2023 or 2024. Not any time soon.

Day two seems like the most likely to me. Any guy of quality will be gone by then. Trask, Mills....everything seems to be lining up for at least three QBs taken in the second round. After that....I can’t even guess at who you could take.

Because it can easily be looked at... that the reason he was limited to " bronze " status was the players he was given.   Look at his last 8 years for the Eagles vs his 8 years with KC.

He keeps winning... and all of a sudden Indy jumps up from mediocrity with basically just a change in QB.

Wouldn’t logic say ... these 2 playing and coaching on elite levels with other teams...there must be something in Philly preventing then from doing so there?

If they only hit Hurts to be a second stringer...hard to believe Lurie cans him for him not doing unbelievable as a starter. Already heard of them wanting Wilson or Watson. Wanted to trade to three for the BYU Wilson if he fell. Don’t see a version where Rosie gets crushed over Hurts. Actually seems like this draft a qb every year and Qb Factory thing is Lurie’s brain child.

AR was picking his guys with Banner before that. Not really much of a connection to where Rosie held AR back. Indy was 11-5 last year. Had a washed up QB throw over 4K yards. How is Wentz going blow that away? Pretty much has to win a SB.
