I never say a player can’t be good said there was nothing that impressed me... your reading and taking things I never said

So where in a statement like this one that you made is any kind of indication that you think he can get better?

"52% but you want to make every excuse in the book for him... Oh he is coachable why can’t he throw a ball yet then??? Why is he struggling making reads then???  If he is that coachable had a high coach dad knows our QB coach they are so close worked with some of the best college coaches. Yet he struggles with all this still but oh he is magically getting better now"

Most valid post he is this super coschable guy but he is magically going to correct those basic issues in one offseason and be a super star

But you want to know the real difference between me and most I’m fine going out on the limb and say I don’t think Hurts will be good didn’t like hurts in college did show me anything in his stint. Really no difference then making claims now on rookie guys I like and don’t like.  I’m not the sit on the fence and make every excuse under the sun for guys just because the Eagles draft them

I’m also 100% the guy who will say I was wrong on that player if they prove me wrong

Hurts is no different then Mailata who I’ve questioned, Barnett, Epps Edwards and numerous others on our roster.

Take whatever you want from my posts don’t really care I’ll tell you exactly what I mean by them. I watched hurts was nothing impressive there. Used the eye test simple as that

He runs fast... you can't deny that.  great for amateur football...  just never won yet in the NFL when it comes to money time.   Vick had success in ATL... ATL had a good defense around him ... Wilson was not the same player he is now when he won as a runner, but look at that defense and Lynch power running.   Baltimore is probably the 3rd most successful for a run first QB... but it's all regular season, playoff time comes and they can't put up points.       Mahomes, Rodgers, Allen... pass first guys that can run, not the same to me.   Hurts was a Tua, Murray type... last year.  Great for fantasy stats, it's why Ham keeps bringing it up... funny how those guys can't get it done vs good teams when the time comes.

We have had out share of the running QB here over my lifetime.... I'm over it.   Give me the guy who changes the play and makes the throws.   If his teammates don't like it, get him new teammates.

BG, with you totally on Hurts... but watch out, the gimmick of the run will be new this year and it will create some buzz.... watch how all the other stuff wrong with the team will be the excuses though.

He can get to 53% i'm sure.

See your taking from 4 games ive watched hurts throughout his career wasn’t impressed in college and the nfl just reaffirmed that I wasn’t impressed with him. I never state a player can’t do anything and I 100% rooting for him to prove me wrong.

What bothers me is this notion that Hurts was remotely impressed or that he is deserving to be the starter when he wasn’t and isn’t.

Yes I think Hurts deserves a chance to compete no I don’t think neglect other options at the QB spot just because of him. Whether that be the draft where yes I believe there are 5 guys minimum I think are better right now the. hurts. Or veteran QB

But why don't you just want to throw him in to where everyone can say.... nah, that dude ain't an NFL starter.   I just see it in the arm.  They will need to gimmick play him, use his running and stuff to limit him on his throws that he can make.    I just think we wait it out... right now it's a lot of anger issues misdirected from fans.  Apparently the previous guy had to be a savior... he had to be like Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady were for teams that made conference title games... lol.  Since expectations were really dumb one way for that guy and it's all his fault... we need to lower expectations for this guy, so we can't be disappointed.   Perspective comes with time.   A little patience is all that is needed.

Josh Allen 631, 510 and 421 yards

Lanar Jackson has run for over a 1,000 yards two straight seasons.

Patrick Mahomes has run for 272, 218 and 308.

Deshaun Watson has run for almost 1,700 yards.

Cam Newton has rushed for 5,400 yards.

Wentz even ran for over a 1,000.

Being able to run the football has a massive impact on the game.

It puts a bunch of stress on the defense

If your QB runs for 70-100 yards And your RBs go for 125-150 on the ground. How many passing yards do you need to win? (Let’s all just assume you have a good defense to win any meaningful football)

Yards are meaningless if you can’t capitalize and score we all went through the AR ending. Whoooo we got 500 yards of O but 17 points

Pederson had a better winning percentage without Wentz. 2018  We blocked a field goal to beat the best defense in the playoffs. Next game: Alshon drops a routine catch that turns into the game sealing interception. That close to the NFC Championship game. Of coarse Wentz provided no momentum there. Foles had to get that team in the postseason. And I truely believed Foles was going to win that second playoff game in 2018.

Right,  look at how many points and turnovers Schwartz defense got in those games.   And the level of competition... and the teammates that were available.  A lot goes into it.   But that is why I want to see this year with Indy.  Can just adding a QB improve them from the 7th seed. Win a playoff game or two.   We shall see.

It stresses a defense. Makes the passing game even easier. Opens things up. Get some WR screens in there. A reverse. Hit the Rb in the flat and on wheel routes. WR going on shallow crosses. Generate some YAC at of some these and the yards are already piling up. Having even mentioned the TE. Next thing you know you hit the speed guy deep .....because they can’t afford to play those S back there anymore.

And look at the rush attempts compared to the passing attempts for those guys who won playoff games.

The rushing is good for fantasy... to win titles the QB needs to be better at passing than he is running.

And doesn't win titles.

Idk... how many playoff games were ever won on that formula?

The SB is still just football. Let’s not make it out to be some whole different sport. Winning football is winning football. To beat a top team in week nine you gotta do the same thing you do in the postseason.

You gotta be able to throw the ball. But not as much if you have a great rushing attack and defense.
Payton Manning comes to mind some here strange enough. Threw for tons of yards in college on the best team. Never won. Threw for a ton of yards every year. But when he won his SB he threw 7 interceptions to only 3 TDs that postseason....he was carried by his defense and rushing attack. Dan Marino was unbelievable. The best passer of the football ever! Never won it all.

Shocker goes to show it isn’t all on the QB but a team effort.... Rodgers is arguably going to become the greatest passer of all time if he stays at his level of play yet 1 SB... Brady arguably the GOAT won most his SB thanks to great D play. Honestly very few teams can we say won without extremely good defenses.

Was reading a piece about how this class of Oline have shorter arm length than average. Says 34 inch arms is average T length.

Alijah Vera-Tucker at the bottom of that list is probably the one guy we HAVEN’T talked about that could actually be the pick at 12 or in a small move back. Really only heard rave reviews about him. Being pigeon holed at G in the NFL because of his arm length.

We need OT more than WR/CB/DT?
