If we draft either - Surtain, Horn, Smith, Waddle, Parsons or Paye, will anyone be really upset? I would only if they draft a OT as I see that as the one position we seem OK at for now. I am assuming we do not trade back...

Logically, Joe is correct. Paye should be the pick. 1)Barnett has been MEH, 2) Graham is getting up there 3) Howie loves his linemen 4) This is a talented and deep WR/CB draft.5) His background story is a PR gold mine. Although that is not my choice,I think it will be Howie's

Don't forget Joseph Charlton

I also think despite what the boards say that  Marshall goes in round 1 either to GB or NO,that could leave Toney at 37

Would anyone be really upset with Greg Newsome at 12 if Surtain and Horn are off the board?

He is an excellent fit for a cover two scheme.

He is projected to go no later than the mid 20s, and some mocks have him at the 15/16 range.

CB is a much bigger need than edge.

Paye seems to be as much of a reach as Newsome.

1-12 Paye-edge   2-37 Toney-WR    3-70-Stokes-CB    3-83-Meinerz-OC    4-123-Sermon-RB    5-143-Rice-LB(Mike)   6-188-Lecounte-S   6-223-Gray-TE   6-224-Ball-OT   7-233-Franks-QB   7-238-Landon Young-OT   (2 late OT's possibly 1 pans out)

I like Newsome also. I would not be upset with that pick especially if we could move back for him

Been reading alot about Paye. At first I thought he was a reach also. Seems though, the kid is just getting started. He has some serious drive to succeed. A controlled "madman" if you will. I think he would become a terrific player for us

ESPN is saying Eagles are actively looking to trade up into top 10 they are saying for an elite CB

At 12 yes would be a massive massive reach just to fill a hole screams Ms2 or fireman Watkins all over

I know it's a late pick, but I am enamored with Franks at QB. Think he is BU/#2 material at the very least. Cannon arm, some injury concerns, but I would snag him late and see what happens

Reports saying NYG are poised to take one of the Bama WRs for what that’s worth.

I'm wondering if we don't stand at 12, but use one of the 3 picks to move into late 1 or another 2 pick. Guys like Newsome could be there, Terrance Marshall possibly and a few nice LB's around there also. Use some of those 6 picks to seal the deal. ALso with potentially 3 round 1 picks next year, they could give up some of those other round picks in 2022

Name your price. I bet Newsome has a better career than both Watkins and Marcus Smith. We can bet any amount.

Is he still a massive reach or do you want to walk back a little?

Not if you are Howie lol

When you can run the ball on people it works. It’s not a gimmick. Just listed off how a third of the league now has QBs that run. If you can go through a season with only two losses with a QB that can run the football....then you can win in the postseason. Still just football. Still the same game.

Ham.... Baltimore went into the playoffs the last 3 seasons lighting up the scoreboard... look at the scores.    Then look at their 4 playoff games.

Absolutely night and day difference!

Tell me how many QBs run more than they attempt a pass? I didn’t think we were going near that extreme. I thought we are talking about QBs that can run.

Hurts had more rushing attempts than completions after a couple starts .  Not sure the final #s.  But I bet it's close.  Shouldn't be anywhere near close.

AMAZING that people know that Hurts will be terrible after 4 games. These same people make excuses for Wentz that he had no O-Line and bad coaching, yet they do not make these excuses for Hurts. He had no TC. Will he be good? I have no clue, but no one here should either. Give the dude a chance. He deserves that much at least. Maybe week 4 or 5 this year we should have a good idea if he will be worth building around or not. At least we have the capital to replace him should he fail.

Give him 2 seasons.   Leave no doubt.

So what if we took Paye at 12 and used round 2/3 picks this and/or next year? to move back into late 1? The top 10 of this draft is going to be very interesting. You'd be looking at Newsome, Toney, Marshall,  or a LB there. I'm all for quantity, but really I would use those later 6,7 picks to move for better quality into another round 4 or 5 pick

Not hard to have better career then those two doesn’t make him worth the 12th pick and yes he is still a massive reach

I know that we talked to Turner multiple times, seems to me though Paye would be a Howie pick,so if Paye goes or we go another way, then I would target Turner in a later round

I would like to see us take replacements for 2 guys -Graham and Kelce-get some youth in here

Remember we let him run some plays all through the year before the got the starts at the end. SO he has 1/2 year in. I think he would need to show us something or we will replace him in the 2022 draft(keep him as a BU)

I see Howie doing alot of moving around in this draft. If he is listening to his scouts(we can only hope lol),he will need to be flexible enough to get those players

It's not that Barnett is " meh"   it's that he isn't under contract past this year, same with Sweat.    This DL can go into the crapper in a hurry because it could be only Graham, Cox and Hargrave next year.

If you want to remain in the basement for a while... you avoid addressing the DL.
