With ya GB. Just don't see a season if the choice is between entertainment or infecting yourself and others. Figured baseball had a shot, then watched guys in the dugouts, half w/o masks. There's a lot more contact in football. They'll try to play, players will opt out, others will get infected and we'll say "what did they think would happen?" This virus will continue until we quit feeding it. Gives you time to get the new house set up! Buy a bar and make it into a NC Nest!

Don't wear a mask, won't wear one cause if masks worked they would have given them to prisoners instead of releasing them. I would make an Eagles nest bar for sure. I have the lights, pics framed and all that gear to do it.  But I dont wanna work anymore and I know the bar biz enough to know you work 70-90 hours a week. The little tiny(really TINY) bar here doesn't open until 5:30(open till 2 AM). Must have a day job too. I could go partners with someone else I suppose. This place is wide open for about any biz you can think of.IDK maybe beer and donuts BWAAAAAHAHAHA.If anyone of you want to move in next door(last house in this allotment just finished yesterday) then we could make one together

So,Alshon officially on PUP list(as of 15 minutes ago).So I believe that means a PUP/reserve would make him miss the first 6 weeks,so that is why we got Goodwin.

As of now, he can still come back at any point before the season starts.  If the season starts and he's still on PUP (I assume he will be.  There's no way that injury is healed), then he would miss the 1st 6 weeks.  This move was predicted by many, but with Goodwin sitting out now, it's already starting to feel thin at WR.

Just read a report that there are dozens more players that haven't been announced that are requesting an opt-out this year.  The only reason they haven't announced them is because their lawyers are double-checking to make sure they are eligible for the guaranteed $$.

Goodwin was Djax insurance, not Jeffery insurance. He was never going to play the X here.

Jeffery being injured isn't a big deal. He doesn't fit in an offense with Goedert and Ertz on the field, and JJAW can play the 40 percent or so of the snaps that are available when one of those guys are on the bench.

Extending him was a colossally dumb move.

LOL,Nah we KNEW Alshon was not a go week 1(and beyond) and we needed someone with NFL experience besides Djax. We didn't have lot to spend, thus we waited for Goodwin to surface.Reagor is the Djax replacement/insurance we have for 4-5 years,Goodwin is a place holder for Alshon until he returns. There will be a mix of Reagor and Goodwin out.Ward/Jjaw/Hightower will be the slot

If enough opt out,we may have a season of "the Replacements" FALCO,FALCO lol

Jjaw was a disaster last year. You really want to just start him(40%????) over anyone else? Goodwin is fast like Djax,of course he would fit with Ertz,Goedert,by pulling the other side of the defense away, this leaves both open or at least as a mismatch in a 2 TE set).Jjaw has to MAKE THIS TEAM first and that is in no way a given. Hightower may even be better than Jjaw and Ward was also more productive

I think JJAW will be fine. It's not like he was getting 10 targets a game and squandering them, he just didn't get a lot of looks. He was fine in the preseason, and I think if the coaches had a mulligan, they would have used him completely differently during the regular season. I watched a lot of highlights of Metcalf and McLaurin, and those coaching staffs did a great job in putting those young receivers in positions to succeed. Heck, both guys beat us multiple times running the exact same routes over and over again.

We expected JJ to do a lot of different things in the offense, and I would rather have seen him do what he does best, namely running dig routes over the middle where he can use his size. Ertz makes a nice living off those routes, and I think JJ could do the same.

Yeah we'll see on Jjaw. He needs to show us NOW why we drafted him high.Hard to judge from last year cause we had so many WR injuries and we were filling in everywhere.I'm not writing him off yet.We got him for his block out ability, but that was not really evident last year.If he comes around, could be a formidable slot guy.He has serious issues if he could not get open and was a semi "primary" target due to having noone else.So he needs to show us he can get open and give Wentz a window

BTW going to be a very tough year with this covid BS(for all teams).I just don't think you play as hard for cardboard cut-outs

Well, I guess Goodwyn comes off the books this year!  More cap space to roll over...lol

Best news all year that Goodwin will opt out means those young speed guys we drafted might have a chance to show their game Watkins, Killins might get a chance.

If the English soccer teams stats are used as an indicator the Zhome teams performed significantly worse than with fans in house .

Well, I don't think a player not playing is the " best news"  I get it with the young WRs, nothing wrong with them having some competition though.

I was a big advocate for getting Killins.IDK that we need him,but he is a swiss army knife. We can use him in a variety or ways,WR,RB,PR,KR.The problem is,although he was a RB,is he good enough to make the roster? If so,it would have to be at RB(which is technically what he is).I believe he will push Scott, but all these rooks are at a serious disadvantage not being able to come up "the usual way".With no preseason it really robs you of seeing other players on other teams, how to cope with them and learn with pre-season snaps. He is super fast and elusive, which is hard to teach. This is right up Sproles alley as a coach.BTW he CAN and DID catch passes(good hands),so with a little mentoring he could be a viable weapon.Putting him and Scott in the backfield could be a defensive nightmare because both can do it all

This guy(and Corbin) were my 2 "off the wall" RB choices. This kid smokes. He was wrongfully NOT invited to the combine,so he has a chip and I would love to see him kick some A

At any rate,I could see this kid working alot with Hurts. When the timing is right put Hurts and Killins in on a run/option. Another look for defenses to figure out

We differ here... I don't think the PS games are as important as the practices as far as who wins jobs.   The preseason games for fans... not so much for coaches.

Practice and watching film is one thing. Nothing can replace how a player puts it all together in a game. I favor the ‘Gamer!’ The guy that can step up under the lights and pressure.

Do we get the pick back we traded? It really sucks. Really just wanted him mostly to deliver in the beginning of the season. Give time for Alshon and the young guys to get it going.

Feels like everything is already set then. DJax, Ward and JJAW at WR. Ertz and Goedert at TE. Sanders with Scott contributing at RB. Dillard, Seumalo, Kelce, Peters and Johnson left to right. Carson leading the band.

That's because his ability to create separation was equivalent to Vince Wilfork.  And when he wasn't plodding down the field like he had a piano strapped to his back, he was running into his own players as they were perfecting their routes.

I am as optimistic as anyone when it comes to players, and I rarely give up on them after 1 year.  I have zero hope for JJAW.  I hope I'm wrong, and I hope to come back and eat some crow.  He was horrific most of the time he was on the field last season.

Reagor will be ahead of Ward and JJAW on the depth chart unless he craps the bed in training camp and can't learn the playbook.  I would drool over a 12 personnel of Desean and Reagor at the X and Z, with Goedert and Ertz in a 12 personnel and Sanders in the backfield.  Good luck stopping that.

Pedey already came out and stated Reagor is training behind DJax at the Z. So things aren’t going like you are thinking to start the season.

Reagor said this week he is learning multiple positions.
