Welp Carolina is sitting pretty as far as a top WR choice. IDK that they'd want to give that up. Looking at Waddle or Smith there I would think. Gnats can still get a nice OT at 15(like Darrisaw), so I believe that is where the Pats look first

Only thing is Denver at 9.   The possibility they take a QB is reason for them to look to Carolina before the Giants.

True. I just dont think they would want to take themselves out of the possibility of getting a top WR. 8-15 takes them out of that

Ahh... so your idea is them looking it at it like... " from the start we gained value and still were able to take a QB"

I think if they trade up it's for a QB.  We agree there.   I just don't see it , giving up 2 or more prospects,  including the DL prospect to get a guy to " compete" with Hurts.

But I do think it will speed up Howie getting fired.

Joe just to many reports on the Eagles wnsting to move up for me to ignore could all be smoke for sure we find out tonight.

As for giving up picks costs say 12th Ertz and a 3rd are we that upset about it still having a pick in every round??? On top of having all those picks in 22 which is this deep draft supposedly.

IMO,  the Eagles are wanting to trade back...the reports of them asking about trading up can easily be them trying to figure out how much value they can get in a trade moving back.

The first 3 way trade... which was a 3 team trade...I can see the Eagles looking to facilitate another one.

I just have a hard time thinking they give up assets they currently have to take a QB at this stage.   I agree they are not high on Hurts, but just don't think they prefer to go that route.. now.

As far as the Eagles... where there is smoke there is fire...  I don't know if that applies to them, I dont recall them giving away their moves like that, but for sure they have used the media misdirection all the time.

IF they are indeed interested in moving up my guess it is to jump ahead of either Dallas (thinking Surtain would be the target) or NYG (thinking Waddle is their target).  But further guess it would involve a jump of only a few spots (8 or 9) to minimize what we would have to give up.

I view this differently I look at it as A. Can you get your guy(not a fan of the possible QBs but not my call) B. Would it be cheaper this year then next and this you have to project some(unless we are 100% behind Hurts which to me means your giving him couple years).

I don’t see the point in collecting all these picks in 22 to sell them off for a QB next year

Yes, and I think all the " smoke" is trying to get other teams to think they are trading up.

A lot of the reports are that the trade up is for a CB or WR.  I don't think they value those positions enough to give up pick 12 plus more.     So yeah it would have to be a QB or lineman.    I think they can get their lineman without trading up... and don't think they view any of these QBs as being worth giving up on Hurts + getting lineman + additional assets.  Its just a lot compared to the alternative.

But it absolutely makes sense with the idea that they can say... we moved from 6 to 8 or 9... got a first round pick and still got our QB.     100% it's a plausible scenario!

For being a "QB factory", we sure stink at it We were in a hurry to lose Wentz, I doubt(or at least I think it would be stupid) to invest in yet another QB without seeing how good/bad Hurts is. We need to build up this team regardless of who the QB is. Adding another high draft pick QB with no team around them is just asking for more failure. Next year maybe we have some young pieces in place to warrant a High QB draft pick and hopefully then with fewer holes to fill. Hurts needs to sink or swim....by his own hand.I hope Howie can see now his draft failures for the past few years, and what it costs long term when you ignore a position long enough putting you in "panic modes". I want to see how this new staff works with "less than elite" players before I go wasting more draft capital on picks with no future. Replace the aging players or ones on final year contracts and "fill in the blanks" at needed spots and have solid BU's in place. Bake the cake this year, add the icing after that. I will add a late QB(Franks) and maybe even a UDFA. Out of those we should be able(in theory) to get at least a #3 out of it. Even replacing Hurts next year,we would still have him as a BU on his last year rook deal and we can then decide his fate

Historical note- the last time we picked at 12, we chose.................Fletcher Cox

I'd be fine with one as good as him. Or BG for that matter.

What time does it start?

Rodgers wants out of GB

IDK Paye just seems like a Howie pick. Tremendous upside. Not a prima donna, he would be cool learning and maybe doing a few rotationals, or garbage time for now. He just has this insatiable drive to succeed after all he has been through. Sounds like a PR gold mine too. I just don't want a whiff at 12

BTW because GB was approached about a trade doesn't ,mean he wants out lol. Every player is tradable for the right offer

Reports coming that Aaron is unhappy and wants out who knows what’s true but has nothing to do with teams calling. Do I think GB is going to move him no

Over the last month, Aaron Rodgers had his agent Dave Dunn fly out to Green Bay for several days of meetings to work through the situation. Rodgers refused a restructure. Wanted an extension. Teams called knowing he wasn’t happy. GB rebuffed them. Offered an extension. No deal.

It’s over his contract which really isn’t shocking lol figured as much
