No.... as a player you gotta look at the team.  Much different situation in Green Bay than the Eagles.

Denvers' pickup of Bridgewater should't preclude them from picking a QB - should it? He's competition for Lock as the b/u I would think.

I think it signaled their guy wouldn’t fall to them at that position. First rounder that is. So not tonight.

I know that we talked to Turner multiple times, seems to me though Paye would be a Howie pick,so if Paye goes or we go another way, then I would target Turner in a later round

Or maybe Basham

It's hard to follow your logic. Is Paye that much of a better prospect than Newsome? Both are good athletes with limited college production that has pushed them down draft boards. If Paye had more sacks or Newsome more interceptions, they would both be rated much higher.

I really don't get the logic that Paye is going to be a much better player than Newsome. How much tape study have you done to come to that conclusion? Newsome is also two years younger, which is kind of a big deal.

We all want to get greedy and be able to trade back and still get our guy. I don’t see anyway you would trade up from 37 for Newsome. So if he’s your guy...you take him.

I don’t think we pick at 12 though think we end up trading up. Also believe if we trade up it will end up being a QB

To get in front of dallas for Surtain

Yes all the GMs believe this way. Crappy year for a scout to really dig into things right now. Little bit of a Wild West feel for this draft. Just adds to the intrigue.

But he fits the system.  Idk, I think sometimes we get too technical about things.   Labeling guys due to systems their college coaches play for a couple seasons.     I think it's reading too much into it.    Trying to be too smart.

Especially at this stage, let's establish something first, before we worry too much about specific systems etc.   We aren't there yet.

Unfortunately the system fit is always a big deal. If the kid doesn’t come out looking good for the first two or three years....however long they give Kid Siri....things get real dicey. These jobs are just so specific.

I don’t see it don’t see the point in trading up to get a Cb when we can get one equally as good in Horn or just wait until the 2nd round where I don’t see much drop off. I never seen this group of CBs as top heavy. If your trading up giving up picks it’s for a QB

It also hard for me to see us giving up extra picks for a CB when the scheme Gannon supposedly runs doesn’t need premium talent. If you think he will run anything remotely like Indy did.

IMO,  the Eagles are wanting to trade back...the reports of them asking about trading up can easily be them trying to figure out how much value they can get in a trade moving back.

The first 3 way trade... which was a 3 team trade...I can see the Eagles looking to facilitate another one.

I just have a hard time thinking they give up assets they currently have to take a QB at this stage.   I agree they are not high on Hurts, but just don't think they prefer to go that route.. now.

As far as the Eagles... where there is smoke there is fire...  I don't know if that applies to them, I dont recall them giving away their moves like that, but for sure they have used the media misdirection all the time.

How much did Rosie put that three team trade together? Really seems like the Niners got fleeced. Fleeced so bad we already had it worked out to be overcompensated for our pick. You know....because Rosie got the Dolphins much more than they could get.

Correct, but too early for worrying about system.  One step at a time.

Rodgers wants out of GB

Vegas? Or does Wilson beat him there?

It’s over his contract which really isn’t shocking lol figured as much

It’s over them drafting a backup QB when they were literally one player away from winning it all. ARod has every right to be pissed about that.

Horn isn’t the same fit. And you have to consider that we are taking dallas’s guy. That’s got to be worth a little extra.

I’m not thinking he’s running a ton of Press Man....which is Horn. Of which Surtain and Horn could both be gone in between that small gap. Then looking at Newsome....or maybe even Samuel. What’s it worth to get your top guy vs the third or fourth?

But.....I’d trade back.....Tonight. Nothing crazy...but a little bit. Blow up the value of trading ahead of us. We got the reasonably priced trade up to make all your dreams come true.

New Orleans would be the spot I want to go to if I was Wilson or Rodgers.... Proven HC great O mind and a strong supporting cast O and D.

Give Miami another year but if they can get the right pieces definitely could see them as a hot spot for top QB athletes  love Florida

Considering I don’t see any real massive drop off I’d wait... Again I don’t see this as a top heavy draft in terms of CB. This draft it flooded with top O talent think the middle rounds is the best spot for D players.

I wouldn’t give up picks for a Cb especially when you expect to run a scheme similar to Indy the success they had with mid/late round guys

Rumor has it Gannon plays to run a lot of zone.
