Giants taking Toney is a clear sign that they were going to take Smith.

Toney is nowhere as good as Smith. Not even close. Smith can play all over the field, and Toney is only a slot. Smith carried his offense, and Toney had Pitts and Grimes.

Bears would have traded with Dallas probably with the giants taking Smith. They were rumored to love Smith pretty much the whole time.

Ham... so then you think Dallas took our trade over the Bears???   No shot!

Guess Waddle was chopped liver

Don’t want to talk about the 4 games to start the year when Waddle was avg. What 120 yards a game. Smith doesn’t have that Heisman season if Waddles doesn’t go down

He was hurt all year. maybe you missed that in your wr studies?

I don’t like the trade up but reasoning is there Giants were likely drafting Smith

Its the only reason to do it.  after Dallas trades with the Bears.... otherwise either Smith or the Bears trade would have been there for us.   To me, I just can't see either Dallas or the Giants passing up a Bears trade for either our trade or Smith

Sure... Dallas passed on the Bears trade for ours makes more sense...LOL

Because they only wanted to move to twelve...not all the way back. Same way we probably wanted Hurts guy Smith at six. We moved back, added draft capital and got our guy.

So why did he go before Smith?

Smith carried the team when Waddle went out. Does waddle carry the team if smith was the one who got hurt? We will never know. But we do know Smith can carry an offense on his own and can play outside.

Not really,, the trade value with the Bears plus Toney is much better than just Smith

Yet to trade a team has to be willing to Ny clearly wanted a WR I don’t think they pass on a guy that they loved supposedly enough so we felt we had to jump them.

I get it joe you wanted us to trade back but your whole argument Smith was going to be there at 12 was wrong

Had a nice RB there also

Was waddle the better WR on the field when they shared it we know that answer lmao

I think it's clear that you don't understand what was happening. But your lack of understanding doesn't change the likely reality of the situation.

Welp, no matter,it's in the books

If I also love how Bama isn’t one of the Most loaded college teams... Just tons of talent a first round OL guys, QB two WRs a stud RB and that’s just this draft

No... I'm just looking at it common sense.... what looks better ,,, to me its easy the Bears offer was the best value over any player there.. Smith or Parsons.   It's not even close.

From what perspective? By being covered by the other team's number one CB from the outside rather than by a slot corner? You really want to go down this rabbit hole?

Who was our next guy

The jump from Smith to Toney is larger than the Snake River

Let's hope we can give Hurts the time to hit him

So,now Stine will be pissed because we took a "lightweight" lol

Common sense says if the Eagles had a way better sense of what was going to play out with those picks then you. NY doesn’t trade if Smith there.

Did Philly get calls for 12 i image they did clearly didn’t take it. I find it hard that Chicago didn’t ask the price for teams at 12-13-14 and jump right to 11

By being double covered regularly by beating guys consistently by putting up better numbers consistently
