Yes, Question is why did everyone pass up on him if he was the best Defensive player in the draft? Why did many teams supposedly remove him from their draft board?

I am not questioning his talent. Will he screw up his chances to be a pro for the next decade?  Also, Dallas already has Vander Esch and Smith at LB. Only two play at a time, so one sits for a third of the game. Seems to me grabbing  a starting CB or S would have made more of a difference. Also someone who can rush the QB.....

They have a trade piece

I suspect if Ertz goes it will be today

Mmmmm the athlete Parsons is I’d consider him in that hybrid Lb/S role if I was Dallas. 3 really good LB all great athletes they definitely find ways to get all 3 on the field plenty

Well, I prefer another player at 12 or 10. Heck I even told everyone that I left out Smith and Slater in my contest so be sure to include them if you want to win!

I do understand it though. I also am happy we gained a 1st round pick in the process. IF they can grab a starter at CB or LB with the next pick I will feel we did OK this draft regardless of the other picks.... It would mean we drafted two solid starters for a

You are over analyzing this. Dallas may not do the deal just to piss off Howie unless he comes up with what they want. Or better yet, call NY and tell them what the Eagles are offering. Then the Giants offer a 5th and we still get screwed. Be happy we got what we wanted and still got a 1st next year

So here is an example... do you think the Giants were pissed we " tanked"  the Washington game?

They would have picked 19, unless they wanted the LB that Washington got, they would have selected the same WR.    Because we " tanked"  they got an extra 5th, 1st and 4th from Chicago.

I think things worked out pretty well for them.   They still got a speed WR to " fit" with PFF's highest rated deep ball passer.  And some nice assets in return.  Is it what they wanted?   Does it really matter?

I'm not thinking anything was a big mistake, but I do think Howie got played a little here.   But he got his guy... which we have to trust he knows what he is doing.

As far as the original 3 team trade, that was always a no-brainer move to me to get an extra 1st round pick.   But that move was already done.  Going forward with the current hand you have is what counts.

On to round 2.  I've been pretty consistent in saying what we do on day 2 and 3 will ultimately matter more in the long run.  We can obsess over the lack of pro bowl players, but I think more important is the fact that after  Ertz leaves,  we will have just Seumalo and Barnett still on the roster who were drafted between Lane and Goedert.  That's 5 drafts!   Also the fact that Seumalo is the only recent draft pick to play 16 games in a season, and he did it just once.   The bigger issues on the lack of quantity of solid players seems more of a problem than any lack of elite players at the moment.  Gotta hit these next 2 days.

I think this starts at & PM today?

Yes 7pm eastern time

In 2 and 3 we pick before both Dullaz and the Gnats, let's not screw this part up again. Today is the most crucial day in my view. If we want an OC,trade back out of 37 but for gods sake not behind either rival)and get more picks, or take Samuel at CB and pick up an OC at 70. Then of course the rest of the draft is D line and maybe a RB

LMAO nice decipher,I hit the & instead of the 7 lol

I will say this was a way more active draft then I expected just because of the limited time and information teams could get. Thought teams would be more willing to sit and be true to there boards over moving around especially when they were giving up future assets in 22

If I can move back in 2 a bit and gain a 3rd,I would be looking for OC, CB, LB

Next question we think Smith gets the #6 right now Tate wears it

Then Robinson in 5 and Sills with the first 6 pick. 4 is up in the air,I would like a RB there or maybe another CB

Anyway, Smith was my original 1 pick before I let y'all change my mind HAHAHA. Maybe another WR in round 4??? There are still nice ones around, although I DID sacrifice him for Pitts(and still would)

Maybe they go LB in round 2? Interesting to see what they do. Defense is the obvious play and they could go Edge, LB or CB. To me CB is their biggest need, so I would do what I have to to get the player they have on top of their board. Maybe trade away next year's 4th or this year's 5th to do it... Just my opinion...  We need the 3rd and 4th round picks this year to add bodies....

Wait a minute. Just wait a minute. Seems like board is fully stocked going into round two. I don’t see how you don’t have somebody you love at 37. Like I’ve been saying...,felt like the sweet spot

LOL I bet Aaron ROdgers is miffed GB didn't take a WR

I think Vander Esch is in his last year, they probably want to move on.

I'm sorry and y'all gonna beat my arse, but at 37 I would take Terrance Marshall- defense be DAMNED LOLOLOLOL(thats a dang nice WR crew going forward)

Smith,Marshall,Reagor works for me. If Hurts can't hit these guys he is toast by game 3 lol and I would feel more than good letting Flacco toss to them

I'm going to venture a guess we are out on WRs now considering they just invested 3 picks last year there too.  Not that I wouldn't mind adding Marshall but more pressing needs now at CB and DL.

Seems unlikely with other areas needing to be addressed

LOL I know, but you could check off the WR box for 4 years-just sayin

I had Marshall ranked above Toney and Bateman and you could give these 3 lots of "gel time" and we'd basically be set at WR. CB in 3,then go from there

Im going to say ATL takes Davis Mills seems like a natural fit gets to sit a a year or so behind Matty Ice

In other words,Hurts succeeds,Hurts fails,no matter,you have enticing WR's for any QB

Jags think I’d go OL protect your new QB and make holes for your new RB

Marshall(37), CB(70),OC or LB(123),DE(143),DT(188) in that order
