All I am putting out there is the talent level at WR would be excellent NEXT year if we added Marshall along with Smith. I know what I am saying is not popular, but it would speed up the QB decision process(keep Hurts or draft a stud in '22) because these are not PS WR's now and there are no excuses at QB.This year then.we hope our D is "adequate" and that we can OUTSCORE opponents(I am still adding to the D THIS draft). But it certainly soldifies one side of the ball with these pieces in place for the '22 season. Sorry-just thinking outside the box lol

If Hurts can't hit these 3 guys, then we already know we are looking at a stud QB in the '22 draft and Flacco can still throw the ball too!!! If Hurts rocks with them, all the better, but there is no longer a decision to be made either way right??? It would be Hurts in 2022 or a stud draft pick. Next problem lol

This absolutely works if you feel that rookies are enough to judge your QB and you need to rush the decision in 2022.   It's certainly a way to go

Just thinking with all the problems we have this would speed the process at QB.If we give Hurts a less than stellar WR corps, then we are possibly back to indecision. This just speeds up the rebuild IMO because now there are no excuses "we need a WR" because you already have them. Just a thought, not saying we do this. It would tell me if Hurts is my guy going forward or if I target a QB in 2022

Here's a mock draft for the next two rounds.

NFL Mock Draft 2021: Projecting picks in the second and third rounds - Bleeding Green Nation

It has us taking JOK at 37, which would be like Christmas as he is a legit top 20 talent, and Jamar Johnson at 70, which seems fine.

Obviously we have a huge whole at corner, but I would rather see them just grab a cheap free agent (a few are left) then reach for someone.

That makes sense for sure.... the question would be if you think Marshall is the one to make all the difference in the WR group to where as a rookie it impacts enough to really get a good read on Hurts.

OK, I got in my Derby  Bets..... Hopefully I do well this year. I love the Risk free bet they give out! Betting $150 and if I lose they give me the cash back!

Is he the only one who could? No of course not. All draft picks are crap shoots. I am just looking at the talent level and upside/potential. A guy like Rodgers from Clemson could also work(maybe a round 4 WR),but Marshall has the best potential out of the remaining WR's IMO,so IMO get me the best prospects and let Hurts try his thing. At least I will know if Hurts is my man or if I need to get a stud

And I will add, we have them all for at least 3 years on ROOK contracts(aka no FA BS spending on this position)

I could see the other side of the argument though where people would say that the rookie WRs aren't enough to make a judgment yet on the QB.  For me, I wouldn't be surprised by much at this point, I don't think they go WR though.

As much as I’d love it I don’t see us taking JOK if he is there (but further guessing he won’t be, that he’ll be one of the first couple players selected tonight).  I’d think we’d be more inclined to go Jenkins or one of the DL.

LOL yeah I said my thoughts wouldn't be popular. But long term I feel it's a better option OFFENSIVELY. I understand we have many holes to fill and that we won;t do this. Just thinking outside the box here and solving one of our biggest problems-deciding who our QB is(or is not). We can do that by the bye week, play Flacco and get a stud in '22. Not concerned with out record this year

just looked at Sporting News top available and they list Samuel like 20th? I am wondering where the Eagles have him. If they don't have him all that high, maybe they do go Edge or LB...

I guess we will see tonight..

I would go Samuel/Nixon even if i had to move to 34 for Samuel and give a late 6th

As a last thought about this Joe,isn't this what the Gnats did? They had the WR's in place before Daniels, and they let him struggle with them  and this year I expect they will be on the same page. We can do the same thing although we are behind them all now

I want Samuel in a bad way(or Marshall HAHAHA) IMO he is the last of the decent CB's. I could take Joseph at 70 and be ok with that as well although IDK if he is starting caliber just yet,but he has the talent(I would also look at Adebo)

Also wondering about another guy I liked alot in Moehrig. IDK that we need another S at this point, but I like the kids play

BTW having 3 rook WR's for 3 years minimum sure opens alot of FA acquisition doors since you have no reason to buy/spend on a WR in FA. We could spend the off season and 2022 draft totally killing it on defense with all the loot and picks we have. OK I am done ranting(right)

How could you forget that? He's going to be such a key player... Until he's possibly cut this year.

You can look at it that way, buy I think adding a vet in Golladay is more impact to judge your QB year 1.  He can climb the ladder to catch the ball.

I think the Giants got lucky, we tanked, took Smith and due to our moves , the Bears offer fell right into their laps.  Selecting the WR at 20 is the questionable part of it, but you can see where the style fits nicely.   Like I was telling Stine, sometimes not getting what you want is better. I think that's the case for NY.
