The folks at si.com have us taking LB Jarvik Cox at 37.

https://www.si.com/nfl/2021/04/30/day-2-mock-draft-rounds-2-and-3

I personally don’t see it ... not a LB that early.  But would love it.

Fine by me if the CB's are all gone. CB at 70 then(it's Jabril)lol

Lineman we are good at.NP there, but at the skill spots we can't get out of our own way and that needs to change

Right... it's why to me investing in a 23-25 year old free agent or using a pick in a trade would have been and still could be worth it.   Cooper in Dallas and Diggs in Buffalo still count even though they weren't drafted by that team.   One vet that isn't 35 years old can make enough of an impact.   Then you can draft those linemen that you develop nicely.   Instead of banging your head against the wall trying to prove yourself... understand your weakness and go another route.

Yeah, all I am shooting for is to take a few of those FA's off the table because we don't need them. There is ZERO reason to have to take TWO FA WR's. Zero is better, but at least cut it down to 1

Dog to vet soon. Nice chat all

Adams would not be here,so I will give you a "fair" on that also

Adams is a STer but when I look at what we got from our S over the year they performed. From Jenkins who nobody wanted at the start to McLeod to the youngsters thrown to the wolves last year. Hell even making Maddox a S where he played his best football.

I thought overalls coaching was pretty good there but again new coach and we don’t really invest draft wise at the spot

Uggghhhh my power is out.  Went out about 3 hrs ago.  PP&L update stating expect power back on around 6:30.  Hope not much later ... don’t want to miss our pick!

I can run a can and string line to you,LMK 🤣

Samuel/ Moehrig I gotta look at at 37. Jabril Cox could be a reach there, but hey we need a LB too(as usual(

Howie arranged it so you wouldn't see a dumb pick

QB, no need to draft one at this point-wasted pick IMO. Only guy I would look at is Rodgers(round 4) to complete the WR puzzle. Carter is ok, although I like others better. Welcome to the bored(Spelled correctly lol)

LOL, "bored" has some truth to it.  Mostly draft obsessed at the moment.

Agreed at QB, I'll be disappointed if we draft one today.

Michael Carter is interesting.  He has Sproles-esque size: 5'8" , 200 pounds.  Not super fast, but fast enough with a 4.5 40 time.  Not an every down back, but could be a shifty change of pace guy.  Big enough to take a beating at the NFL.  Projected as a 3rd round pick.  Watch this be our guy!!

I find it nearly impossible that we won’t go D with our picks today but if we do end up going O think it would highlight the fact O took priority this draft and the goal is fixing that unit will be interesting

Ian Rapoport named Campbell as one of the players likely to go early in round 2. He thought he was going to go at the end of the first. I think there will be a corner (Campbell or Samuel) for us at 37 if we want one pending someone trading up.

LB seemed to do well with the talent he was given. S has always been a good spot for us. RB Duce got the most of the guys he was given usually

Biggest issues for this team have been WR and CB

I would say safety , we struggled to draft guys for a long time.   Free agents Jenkins and McCloud have been probably our best since Dawkins

He stated over the last 4 years so was only going under those coaches and how those player performed

Which brings me to Ertz. Does anyone here feel the Eagles will trade him tonight?

I think more likely tomorrow

Or... when you sign the FA WR, it's the younger ages so they can play for you for a while.

Anticipated ( but wasn't expecting ) a trade up into the 1st last pm. Tonight expect Samuel Jr or Campbell, Koramoah wouldn't be a surprise.

Hate all these higher picks, gonna make JL & HR look good - what I've been sayin all along

I thought it possible we looked to trade up as well but as soon as the zoom presser with Smith happened knew we were finished for the night

Also wondering about another guy I liked alot in Moehrig. IDK that we need another S at this point, but I like the kids play

I’d have no problem if he’s the selection

Opinions seem to be somewhat divided on Samuel. Reuben Frank said he would take Campbell instead because he is more physical and fits better in a cover 2 scheme.

Neither guy has a great RAS, and part of me is thinking Melifonwu would be a better choice than either of them for our defense. But I love Samuel's tape - he is a scrappy competitor who never seems to be physically outmatched, so if they draft him it would be fine with me.

The only thing I hope is that we don't have to reach, or that the owner bursts into the room and starts touting a guy who showed him an Eagles tattoo during a zoom meeting.

Campbell seems like a great choice and fit. Samuel the only real concern I have is can he play outside...or just the slot.

Fav part of the draft so far - no Michael Irvin or Troy Buck!

For some reason Xfinity/Comcast must not have an NFL deal. Couldn't livestream NFL network, had to watch it on tv as ESPN had Kiper - can't listen to him either

I think a good slot CB has pretty good value for the Eagles....if you look at the slot WRs we need to cover. Have done much worse with 2nd round picks lately.

ABC had it last night too... was it ESPN simulcast?

Good news! My dogs(4) are healthier than I am. I will try to teach them all my password, so they can make insane comments on this board to carry on my legacy 🤣
