LOSER: CARSON WENTZ’S BLINDSIDE

It was quite apparent that the Colts’ biggest need entering the 2021 NFL Draft was left tackle after long-time starter Anthony Castonzo retired this offseason. After opting to take edge defender Kwity Paye in Round 1, Indianapolis was expected to go all-in on addressing the gaping hole at left tackle in Round 2.

However, all the top tackle prospects were swooped up before the Colts were on the clock at No. 54. They opted to take another edge defender, Dayo Odeyingbo, as a result, which means Sam Tevi remains the penciled-in starter. Considering Tevi was the sixth-lowest-graded tackle in the NFL last year for the Chargers, this is bad news for Carson Wentz’s blindside.

Right... like I said.. INDY was 7th out of 16 mediocre team in the AFC last year who didn't really improve anywhere... and lost their LT.    If they improve within the conference it should be obvious why.

Well you don't get Smith if you don't trade up, the Gnats wanted him. He would have been gone at 12

I completely understand this still not a fan of the trade up lol thought the WR class was deep could have gotten another guy if that was our route kept an extra 3rd. Lastly just the what if we got the bears trade 4 firsts in 22... oh well it happens lol but reasons why I’m wasn’t a huge fan of the trade up

Here are guys I would like in round 4-  CB-Shakur Brown, Robert Rochelle. Both "projects" but could see some reps(hey it's better than NO CB lol)  S-Nasirildeen DE-Rashad Weaver. if we want another T-Nixon, Kahlil Herbet-RB, WR-Amari Rodgers,Tylan Wallace

Once again Rodgers or Wallace would complete the WR set-up. it's a nice start and at least we'd have a functioning WR crew which can always by improved further later on. Herbert is a nice basher RB. A guy that could prevent us from signing Howard annually lol

Yeah I hated losing that 84, but if Smith smokes 'em,then it will have been worth it. Time will tell We did trade back picking up another 6th. Although those normally are BU guys,we need BU guys too

A really late guy I am high on is Darrick Forrest. He is the safety from Cincy. I think he could work his way in with a little effort. The talent is there and he'd be a nice round 6 grab IMO

Oh I forgot to add Jabril Cox to this list

I had these 2 WR guys in 4 from the get go, in the event we didn't land a top WR, but adding one now would check off the WR box

The buzz of the day for me ( I rarely pay attention today until it's all over)   when will Ertz be traded.

My bad Rodgers went to GB so scratch him off lol

Looking forward to missing on a pick today and Ham calling for Howie's job.

Gannon seems like the coach you want to trust to find you a gem at Cb in the later rounds. So wouldn’t be shocked if we find our starter opposite Slay today

Won't need to wait long I would guess. Not thrilled with Howie, but we're stuck with him. I guess Donohue wasn't too thrilled either

I listed the 2 I like. Idk what we do, but there are lots of D linemen to be had in 6 and there is a nice OT project I would like in Josh Ball from Marshall. We can use Ertz as a trade piece or some of those 6's to move up We shall see. I still think Samuel in 2 and Meinerz in 3 was the way to go

Lastly,I would like to get Feleipe Franks at QB. Nothing wrong with this guy, he has a cannon arm, needs experience like most rooks, but I would add him as our #3

So since Rodgers is gone(went way higher than I expected), I suppose his teammate Powell would suffice, but IMO if you want to complete the WR puzzle, you add Tylan Wallace

Today is volume... what do we have 8 picks?  Plus the UDFA rush.    Missing on a pick ( and I'm sure people will use Tom Brady etc)  isn't as big to me as being able to hit on a few.   Go back and look at 2010.   Seemed we had like 20 picks, after Graham it was like 19 failures.   Gotta find 3 or 4 players that can stick if not even more. But we will miss a lot too.

yeah 8 picks and we ARE pretty good at signing the top UDFA's(but they are UDFA's). Picks 4 and 5 I hope are guys we can get into rotations, the 6 guys can sit and learn

Another round 6er I like at OT is Cole van Lanen. Either him or Josh Ball are guys that could work their way up or be a nice BU for Lane as they learn

Doubt we take them .but my top picks at 4,5 are Herbert at RB and Robinson at edge, but I think we are gonna pass on RB,maybe grab a 6 pick. So that being said I will stick with Robinson in 5 and go with one of these at 4....................... S-Nasirildeen, LB-Cox, WR-Wallace, CB-Rochelle

If we wait on RB, then my late pick is Jermar Jefferson
