Agreed the numbers are being inflated, manipulated some is clearly political yet America the richest country in the world,  has hung their citizens out to dry.  In every Developed country in the world those governments find a way to support and protects their  citizenry. But  GREED and profiteering is what we see. 2 Judges in Pennsylvania using their judgeship to steer poor people , people of color to detention facilities  receiving bribes and payoffs from Privitised Prison Corporations, locking up innocent children for profit.

 I  should say the poor, the homeless , those HAVENOTS  are being sacrificed in this Pandemic. Coming soon to a city near you Covid 19. Did you notice that States that demanded you go to work even if it means your death.  Those  ordering you to due for their Bottom line Stayed home safely. Lol. To say this Pandemic is less harmful than the common flu. Hahahahaha.Have you noticed how that tune has changed ..... hmmmm could it be because people are dying in every age group.What does it matter to you what this economy does , if you're dead.

If all the races really wanted to unite, why have a "black" national anthem? Why the need to have both instead on all uniting to ONE nation. Instead we have a "black national anthem and one for everyone else. if anything that is showing separation more. It will be very interesting when people sit or kneel for the "black" national anthem in protest that there should be 1 anthem and the reaction there. They wont be wrong, they have their belief as well and people should respect that just as much as some kneeling in protest for the regular nation anthem. Works both ways really.

mjk, thanks for that info.   This seems weird though, like if a player really wants to opt out later on, I think he will find a way.    

2 thoughts come to mind as far as the season and " what ifs"    

1.  If a player tests positive on a Monday or Tuesday after a game.... now what happens?  Think about his own team, the team he just played ... and the 2 opponents for the next week.  What happens?  Can we cancel games and how does that work when teams play one game per week.  Unlike baseball where the Phillies missed a week of baseball due to their first opponent having multiple players test positive.... and also having 2 " false positives"  of their own.   In football can't really make up for missed games of use " winning percentage"    We know there will be " false positives" , yet it does seem that with Doug, they made sure he had a 2nd test to confirm before coming out with it? 

2.   If the season doesn't finish ... how is the 2021 draft order going to be determined?   

You guys can worry about the anthems ... I see bigger issues for the league to deal with.   The ship is sinking, throwing out water a cup at a time isn't going to do much.  If you guys can have 17 weeks of debates about the anthems followed by another 4 during the playoffs, that would be great!   Especially if that last one is before a game the Eagles play and win.

Exactly If an Essential Employee decided to OPT OUTthey would be denied Unemployment benefits. These are the people that keep America running most still can't get a Covid test its Dispicable how our poor and homeless are being treated.
