Cannot say much about this draft. Like all drafts, you need a few years before placing a grade on it. The one pick I think is terrible is Dickerson. Yes, he is pro bowl caliber. But 4 surgeries on his knees? I highly doubt anyone was going to draft him before the late third let alone the second round. If you are going to take a chance, at least trade back and grab another 3rd before doing so. This bleeds HR all over. No one can convince me this was a good move. Even if he does work out I say it was dumb. He could have been drafted early 3rd.

It wasn't as confusing as some of their picks in the past but it was a head scratcher.

He was a dominate Blocker. He has not athleticism or balance. He is strictly a power blocker and will do good in the run game. But he cannot pull or run with the back. He is smart, but at 6'6" not sure he can play in front of Hurts. So center is not in his future with Hurts at QB. Funny thing is you can review the rankings and see this dude placed anywhere from 32 to 170! But one thing for sure, whomever picks him is taking a huge risk. We have so many needs that we cannot afford this luxury. Anyway, I am done with talking about Howie and his stupid draft picks. This is the type of player teams like KC and TB picks. They can afford to miss. We cannot.......

Yeah I had us taking Samuel at 37 and Mienerz at 70,so IDK. Seems to me Meinerz would be just fine at C. No injury issues, only a learning curve issue

I don't think he makes it to the 3rd,might not have made it to pick 40.   According to some reports and looking at the board itself.

This is a long term play.  Dude is a stud when he plays.   2nd round after teams already drafted a player, they would absolutely have drafted him soon.   It's not about instant gratification.    How many teams are in win now mode?  We see this every year with teams doing this.

This is a tough one not sure he made it until the 3rd possible maybe but he was getting glowing reviews from everyone. Honestly if he works out nobody going to care we got him in round 2

Kelce isn't going anywhere,so he has all year to heal, maybe take some garbage time snaps. I think that was the pick Donohue wasn't happy about either, and he had a reason not to be thrilled.Like you, there were usuable CB's right there for the taking and lots of C's left on the board, but Howie has to have "the best". I was shocked at that choice myself when you had Meinerz and the C from OSU still on the board. Both of those more than capable. Howie loves his round 2 injury recovery players(remember Jones?) And to be perfectly frank with all out past injuries would you really trust in the opinion of our med staff??? I wouldn't trust them to wash my car

The concern Joe is when Kelce goes we will flat out hand him the reins to our O line and it wasn't ONCE he was injured,it was multiple times. I agree though if healthy he will move D lines which will help our running game

Can’t say I’d be concerned with him taking over for Kelce. Odds are Dickerson will get playing time this year on the OL probably be at G but at least will get some NFL playing experience.

Injuries are concerning even more so with our team and what seems to be our inability to keep guys on the field.

At any rate, IDK if it's the med staff, they get the guys AFTER injury, so why do we annually have so many guys hurt? You need to check the water up there. I don't remember too many injuries under Chip. That was his best attribute. SInce, we have been injury riddled and I doubt this is coincidence/bad luck

This is not about if he makes it to the third or not. This is about the Eagles drafting players without issues. You said it yourself, they are in rebuild mode. So let's take a player with all kids of question marks with injury history in the 2nd round! This is a round where you take a player that can start day 1. It is not about taking a player that "Might" help out down the road in the 2nd round. Sorry Joe, you can flip this anyway you like it. We do not have the luxury to take chances on players in this round. 4 surgeries in the past 5 years? You seriously want to take a chance on him when you need players at almost every position?

Well it' IS a concern when you spend a 2 pick on a guy that can't take over the position you got him for. No rush in his healing process and maybe he was rushed back too soon causing those multiple injuries, but IDK if I would rely on our med staffs evaluations

Samuel was sitting right there too!!! Meinerz and the OSU C(Myers) went in round 3 I believe, and thats where I had us taking a C. But I am old,so what do I know?

there WERE ALL KINDS OF PLAYERS THAT WOULD START DAY 1 AVAILABLE. So we take an injury riddled center/guard that may help this year or next if he can stay healthy....... smh

Grades mean nothing to me. No one knows which team did well right now. See me in 3 years.....

Myers went to GB in round 2,which means even if we wanted a C,we took Dickerson over him

Yeah it surprised me with all the other holes we have/had

This is why I’m not sure why your angry with picks I get the concern I have concerns with every pick.

Undersized WR we traded up for

injury prone C

undersized DT

These were our top 3 picks. Best case scenario it’s one starter with Smith with one guy rotating. Right now I’m in wait in see mode if I’m 2-3 years we have Smith/Dickerson/Mcphearson starting Williams in a key rotation(maybe starting depending what goes on with Cox) draft will be looking like a success. Flip side of they all suck Howie should get fired

Welp you got graded in HS for you college entrance,so grading has some merit depending who is doing the grading. I trust PFF. Not perfect but they are fairly accurate, moreso than most

Smith won't suck....unless Hurts sucks

BG, I am not concerned with any other picks for your reasoning, but I can be upset for this team taking unwarranted risks on an injury plagued player in the 2nd round. If you are not fine. I just am tired of SOS with our 2nd rounds picks never making the playing field for more than a handful of games before getting released/traded.....

Seems like Milton probably went early also.
