Seems like Milton probably went early also.

But he's not injury riddled and if he is a fit it's not early and it's not round 2

When we took Dickerson, at the time, my only response was " WOW"

Anyway,we have a mobile QB, so Dickersons height may not be an issue. I think Howie got him to clog up the middle. He has the strength. Maybe he ends up as a G in rotation and a BU C. Nothing is set in stone right now.

GB, going to your neck of the woods Saturday!  Will be nice to spend a week with my feet in the sand and a cool one in my hand!

Losing my Nephew last Friday hurts, so will be a well needed time off from the rest of the world.....

was with his daughter on a 4 wheeler, rolled it and smothered his daughter to protect her and died in the process. Great young man. He will be missed.....

The concern Joe is when Kelce goes we will flat out hand him the reins to our O line and it wasn't ONCE he was injured,it was multiple times. I agree though if healthy he will move D lines which will help our running game

Idk.. on one hand you want to prioritize getting Kelce's replacement.  We all said he could already be on the roster,  now they get the guy who won the award as the best center in college football... ( that's best center.. OC or DC)

Now you complaining we will hand him the job?   I gotta be honest, I don't really get it.   I'm sure by the time 2022 season starts, Dickerson will have to earn the job , two camps and a season full of practice should be enough to say he isn't going to be handed anything?

Again, the CB at that stage is not going to win us anything this year. The team stinks, it's perfect time to take a home run swing and not worry about a strike out.

dullass not picking up option on Van der Esch, LB. Know he has injuries and it's obviously a contract yr

This is not about if he makes it to the third or not. This is about the Eagles drafting players without issues. You said it yourself, they are in rebuild mode. So let's take a player with all kids of question marks with injury history in the 2nd round! This is a round where you take a player that can start day 1. It is not about taking a player that "Might" help out down the road in the 2nd round. Sorry Joe, you can flip this anyway you like it. We do not have the luxury to take chances on players in this round. 4 surgeries in the past 5 years? You seriously want to take a chance on him when you need players at almost every position?

Nor really... when you stink you have no need for the player to start day 1.  Smarter to go for higher long term upside.   If you were close, then you need more instant gratification.  This is perfect time to make this type of pick.

I'm bored,I need drama lol

If you hand him the job and he continues to have injuries was it worth it???? How about handing the job to a guy who hasn't ever been hurt, and while that is no guarantee, why take a chance on an injury history player?. I don't know why you don;t understand. IDC how good Dickerson is if he is riding pine

Grades mean nothing to me. No one knows which team did well right now. See me in 3 years.....

I agree... neither does starting day 1 for a crap team either. To quote the smartest thing you have recently said....  " see me in 3 years"

If you say so. I mean we have the luxury to take a chance on a player that has serious injury issues. Why worry about the 15 or more positions we need to address with players that are healthy. Swing for the fence!  OK.... Keep taking chances like this and we could be the next NY Jets.... We may be already

Why we he be handed a job?  Wouldn't he have shown you on the field that he earned it?

Ok... we drafted the CB.     What does do for you this year...  and in 3 years.

Tell me..   is Sydney Jones an issue because of his first year, or because he just never stepped up?

How about Goedert and Sanders..  does their rookie playing time mean anything to you right now on how you feel about their future?

They are 2nd picks.  Their rookie years mean what to you at the moment as these players enter years 5, 4 and 3?

OK, Joe, by your logic, we should have stayed pat at 12 and drafted Farley. He was by far the best CB before his back injury. He is now healthy and can practice day 1. We could have saved a 3rd round pick and grabbed the best CB in the draft. Why didn't we swing for the fence here? Best player at the position we have the most need sitting there waiting for us to snatch up!

Joe, I am talking strictly about grabbing any player with recurring injury issues. Neither Sanders or Goedert had any.

Wtf people..   Sydney Jones was a flop... not due to year 1 or that injury from 4 years ago.    Some of you make trends out of one time things...Sydney Jones got over his achilies ...  he just stinks.   It's not the same

Sidney Jones was a risk because he was injured..... Same as Dickerson is now

No, I would have taken the Bears trade.  Taken Paye or anyone else afterwards

Totally was the issue. He was never the same after the injury!! Had he never had that injury I can bet the play from him would be totally different

Here is an incredibly stupid statement to match this one...

Ok Stine, by your logic you would have been fine if Dickerson was signed by Dallas, NY or Wash... as a UDFA?

Really?    He was a totally different player in the NFL prior to his injury?

That still works. I Farley was still available even if they traded..... Would you take him, or someone else? Knowing Farley is the best CB of the draft and sorely needed position.

Of course! I would not have taken him with the 2nd round pick, unless they at least traded back and got another 3rd as a minimum. Even then I would hesitate. 4 serious surgeries in a 5 year span  is nothing to ignore.

And my points remain

1. When you have a mountain to climb to get back to being a decent team, now is the time to take the chance

2. See me in 3 years.

The difference I will say between these 2 players, and you need to acknowledge.    It seems Jones has gotten back on the field and hasn't proven to be NFL level player.   Dickerson has recovered from multiple injuries... doesn't seem to have effected his play.   The concern is not if he will ever be able to compete at the NFL level, it's more so if he will be available.
