So I guess TC starts the 17th. Sure hope these guys are ready to go. Brooks already going down just really set the injury situation off on the wrong foot. Just can’t deal with another massive injury count this season.

This probably sounds a little nuts, bc Brooks is probably the best RG in the league.  Losing him sucks - I don't think he's given up a sack since 2018.  However,  if we have a starter go down, I think replacing him with a serviceable RG (Peters) will be fine.  Even if Peters gets hurt, and Pryor ends up starting, he's sandwiched between 2 potential HOF players in Kelce and Lane Johnson.  They'll be able to hide someone who has less talent.

I think they will need a decision before the season begins. What bothers me is they get paid 350k(or 150k) to not play.I think this is wrong. If I "opted out" of work,I got no paycheck,so even if I was sick, I went to work anyway. With whatever I had, would it kill me? IDK because I worked through it anyway. But I agree, they need to decide soon.So far they have said "game on",but maybe they need to re-think this????? IDK,I am just a peon in the big picture

GB,  look at it this way.    If you are an owner....

A player gets hurt and misses the season,  do you pay him his full salary?

The second player doesn't play and you pay him only $150k or 350k total for the same missed season as the injured guy.

In which situation are you better off?    For me, I'm seeing this as an easy decision for the owner.  If 60 players took $300k ... that's $18 mil.  Dak is getting almost twice that himself.... you follow?

Hehehehehe hen yuk yuk yuk yuk yuk yuk hehehehehe I love it FUNNY hehehehe

Not with the drug scene, High on life naturally.Sooooo... It sucks that our ALL PRO RT is hurt, out for the year. His Age and continuing injury problems, one season left with Birds before he becomes Trade bait. Our LB are on the Covid list.Lane Johnson is down, for now.  I hoped for a Milaita sighting this season. Some of these guys have the challenge that they could get a much more intense version of Covid the second time around, At 62 Pro Sports are one of myCash Cows there is a lot of money on the line for me. Last time I accepted a job was 2015....Think I did about ******k last year with football and pro sports  , if we don't have a football this season I lose money. Got No problem with 0 profit on football this year if it saves lives. My other loves Flyers hockey soo far has potential. Even with the loss tonight Hockey still pays.  No one knows . Phillies and Baseball are toast , did well on this Sixers game tonight. Really concerned about the OPT OUT option and dealing with a watered down football season. If we win the SB WILL there be an ASTERICK * next to the win. That would SUCK. Really concerned about the Musical chairs at OL that OPT OUT deadline can't happen soon enough. I think Peters history gives me confidence that he would do a good job at RT. I would rather Pryor and the young guy learning and growing.Peterson testing positive on Covid is a problem. Will he risk infection a second time. Or would Peterson OPT OUT. Tough times for Eagle football

Hey hputenis that picture. Is that U or just FAKE news lol.

I would. With Lane and Peters on the right side,he could be a STUD,he was heading that direction last year.Love Scott and some of the new kids on the block, but really you got the possibility of Kelce,Peters,Lane and Goedert leading the way.Hell,I could gain some yards with that group in front of me.Give him a breather once in awhile and put in Hurts/Scott/Killins/Warren and give the D more BS to cover HAHAHA

Like when you sign up,you know there is a chance you can get injured and it's a risk you take to get paid mega bucks, why is this different, because you can't see it? Ima say it again Trini, you and me may need to suit this up if too many opt out, but really IDK if I could handle cardboard cut outs with piped in boos, that would hurt(hehe)

Yeah I do for a few reasons, but here is 1 more.Fans have left the NBA and MLB in droves.Their ratings are swirling with the Ty-D- bowl man.NHL had a good start, then their BS hit,so I suspect they will tank now also.IDK what your position on this is, nor does it matter, but when you alienate 1/2 your audience(or more), you are going to have problems going forward.I am old,but I will tell you if I was young and bringing up a son, there is NO WAY I would want these jerks to be examples/heroes or role models,so although I will not get into this again, that is a league wide issue, not just mine.I will stop there.

I'm sure i'm in the minority here but i don't have a problem with the RB by committee approach. It keeps the players fresh throughout the season and lessens the chance of an injury caused by fatigue.

I think the run game scheme is based off the team you are playing, time of year, and could change during the game based off adjustments to factors in the game. Honestly its impossible to say they will go with Sanders mainly or a committee approach. Every game is different and could/should change based off of many factors.

Players still have options to get out of playing this season after todays' 4pm deadline. Worst case is they can give up the pay and retire, unretire next yr. Personally I'm writing off this season, which will surely have an asterisk behind it. Curious as to what it will take for games or the season to be called?

I read an article that said the CDC would be happy with a vaccine that's 50% effective. I think i'll let you guys test it just in case. Anyone ever hear of Thalidomide?

With the bar set that low we might be seeing an end of Pro sports.

It has been known they can opt out at any time. The only reason they would want to opt out now is to get the payout of either 150k or 350k. They can opt out at any time after the deadline but they will not receive the opt out money.

Took me some time to Adjust to RB by committee I agree keeping the players fresh and healthy works besides I had hopes of watching couple kids we brought in like Adrian Killins and The Truck Warren

I may be living in a dream world I cannot Trust what the CDC is saying these days, Like many I have trusted their guidance in the past without question. I feel they have been corrupted, they have become political. The US military were the last people that forced me to take any vaccine. It interesting that countries that have been dealing with this pandemic long before it came to our Shores still haven't developed a vaccine. Pharmaceutical companies only develop vaccines for profit. So 50% effectiveness will make MORE money If your patient has continuing need for treatment. That is the history of these Corporations.

Thalidomide I read somewhere it was banned in the 50's as it caused children to be born with deformities like stunted arms and legs also used to treat some forms of leprosy and cancer There is a New York Times article written in 1997 by Sheryl Gay Stolberg that goes into some detail.

The CDC has been all over the map on this subject. being former military i'm sure you agree you can't believe much od what the government tells you.

I have to admit i'm concerned about a vaccine that's being rushed into production because of politics.

I don't want the cure to be worse than the disease.

I think ratings go down because people are skeptical how the whole thing is run.   Checked the standings the other night.... the Phillies and Marlins both played 4 games...  the Braves played 12?    I think that is a huge problem with forcing a season that probably shouldn't have even started.    Basketball ratings... IDK, never have I seen a regular season game in August when it's just simply playing out the string until the playoffs start.

Football... each game counts.  what would kill ratings the most will be the feeling that the season won't finish and investing time for a few weeks could be meaningless.  Baseball and basketball too many meaningless games at the moment.... hockey pretty much has all the games mean something from the start.     what happens to college basketball ratings once the tournament starts?   People like the games to mean something.  That will always be the key to ratings with sports.

UCONN cancelled it's football season.I'm sure others will follow. This really kills off draft prospects

Absolutely ... more importantly ... it brings titles... look at the last decade of SB winners ... Other than Marshawn who else do you have as a bell cow RB?

IDK I guess not.If I was an owner I would be wondering why I am paying 18 million dollars for players to sit home.I could have a really nice 1,2,3 FA guys for that loot
