The CDC has been all over the map on this subject. being former military i'm sure you agree you can't believe much od what the government tells you.

I have to admit i'm concerned about a vaccine that's being rushed into production because of politics.

I don't want the cure to be worse than the disease.

Nope, why go through all the BS,just to have the govt give you a covid injection (thats what vaccines are)? Does that make sense???

I think ratings go down because people are skeptical how the whole thing is run.   Checked the standings the other night.... the Phillies and Marlins both played 4 games...  the Braves played 12?    I think that is a huge problem with forcing a season that probably shouldn't have even started.    Basketball ratings... IDK, never have I seen a regular season game in August when it's just simply playing out the string until the playoffs start.

Football... each game counts.  what would kill ratings the most will be the feeling that the season won't finish and investing time for a few weeks could be meaningless.  Baseball and basketball too many meaningless games at the moment.... hockey pretty much has all the games mean something from the start.     what happens to college basketball ratings once the tournament starts?   People like the games to mean something.  That will always be the key to ratings with sports.

Yeah this is tough here,Like UCONN just said "no season".if colleges cave, thats not good news for the NFL

BTW(and this is not political).I read(and I did not fact check this so look it up yourself as to it's validity) that the vaccine they are working on intertwines with your DNA.In essence you are being GMO'd(genetically modified) .No thanks

IDK I guess not.If I was an owner I would be wondering why I am paying 18 million dollars for players to sit home.I could have a really nice 1,2,3 FA guys for that loot

Or... I get off the hook paying someone $150k or 350k ... instead of millions ????

I think you aren't getting what I'm saying with the $18 mil    I'm saying 60 players could take $300k each, that's $18 mil.    But we know that 60 players aren't going to do that.  But we also know that there have been players making multi million who are now only getting $150 or $350k.   They get off the hook from having to pay

Depends,if you sign a guy for 2 years,is the year he opts out GONE,or does the 2 year contract re-set next year?(so see you are back to paying the millions anyway)

At any rate,I don't know if there are clauses in the contracts for this type thing. This is all new territory.I know there could be injury clauses or what have you,but voluntary opt-outs?

And if enough "opt out" is the season even worth watching "Yeah you won the SB cause you only had 4 opt outs and we had 12 lol" it's a mess

1) The only bell cow on a team can be the QB. Teams key in on a bell cow, he goes down, your toast.

2) Would we have won in 2017 w/o Blount? Who I wanted yrs earlier btw.

Bell cows at WR or RB, just not a good idea

You can say the same thing about min 3 of the Patriots SBs that they won by spy gate. Yes they won the SB but with a * lol

This isn't remotely true. The vaccine you are talking about utilizes messenger RNA technology to elicit an immune response. It doesn't modify your DNA, and even if it did, you would never see the effects.

The vaccine is based on the same concept as immunotherapy treatments for cancer, so keep that in mind if you ever need to have a serious discussion with an oncologist.

Games without fans has that scrimmage...or pickup game feel. Just loses the intensity. Loses the magnitude. Just feels hollow.

That plus they get 6 free games a year in that lame division lol

I stated to check it for yourself.I don't want them messing with my RNA either.Never had a flu shot, never had the flu,not taking this one either.Have friends in the health industry, they are forced to get a flu shot(or lose their job-welcome to the USSA comrade),and every year they are out 3-5 weeks with the flu.Nope not happening

I like how Duce gave the vote of confidence to Miles. That’s what he needs to be considered an elite RB. Some backs get stronger as they collect carries in a game. Henry and Elliott fit that old school model. Sanders I don’t think that way about. He’s a beast. But I wouldn’t overuse him. A huge benefit is he came to us with minimal college usage. So I’d keep him on a pitch count(so to speak). I’m not saying he’s fragile but I want to extend his career and keep him at a maximum effectiveness. RBBC is too much when you have an elite talent like him. He’s the top dog. But I’m still getting other backs involved. I believe you can utilize three RBs and it still doesn’t mean you are using a committee.

Agreed. DeMarco Murray is a prime example. Dallas rode him into the ground and he never was the same after that.

I believe that the players forfeit the $$$ they were supposed to get and this season still counts as a year on the deal.  I'm sure both sides agreed to that as part of recent negotiations.

WR is different,  less physical,  you can play almost every snap there unlike RB.  Plus just because you are on the field doesn't mean you get targeted.  The RB is the one taking the ball from the QB and getting contact. Much different.

I don't really care if Miles Sanders is an " elite" RB.   I just need him good enough to be the lead RB in the system and just keep improving in all aspects.

If we run the ball 30 times per game, I'm good with him getting 15-18. Even less in certain games if it's lopsided.  The more you can rotate the other 2 guys in the better.

Do we win a SB without Blount. Same question can be asked of Ajayi and Clement.  This is a passing league, we have a coach that likes to pass.  We have seen how he can get away from calling running plays, when he doesn't think he has multiple options that are reliable to carry the football... like with having ALL of those 3 at the same time.

Also I don't think paying the " elite" RB leads to success.  Give me a guy that can be a starter,  a lead RB, # 1 in a committee.  I don't need the elite guy at RB to dominate snaps in a passing league.  I think the team success over the last decade or so is a great indication of that.

Vinny Curry is back! I know we want to get younger but you just can’t beat the bang for the buck from this vet. He’s not a guy that’s logged a ton of snaps. So his body is younger health wise than his age. You just can’t ignore how he was very productive last season. Just makes too much sense to sign a guy on the cheap that is well versed in his job and still very productive.

I’m dying to know what the trade market will look like. All these players opting out. Then players will get positive tests. Plus your regular injuries. Teams are going to take especially hard hits in individual position groups is my guess. Just can’t have enough depth with roster constraints. We took a big swing in the draft to get younger. At the same time the league upped the numbers on the PS. We could get lucky and add to next year’s draft haul. Really turn over an old team in to fresh new faces in very short time span.

Yeah but the new NFLPA deal was struck before all this BS started

IDK I'm not making a set amount.if it's working and he's destroying the other team I go over 20 carries and he should have NP with that. Not that I want to burn him out,but there will be games where the running game isnt working so well. He can play less snaps in those games. If he's making 5 yards per carry on every down, you can bet he plays until he needs a breather
