Firstly, it's WAY expensive to do. Secondly, it's waste of money if you can't even get your drafted players to play.Instead of a billion dollars on high profile prima donnas,I would spend it on  finding the best coaches in the league, but like players, we have a hard time finding those coaches. I remember when one was asked why they had a 5 years plan and they said "because my contract is 5 years" Find a coach who is good enough to re-sign

And the Pats won how many SBs spending money on free agents.... Revis, Talib, Gilmore,  Harrison...etc.

To me, the idea of ... " I addressed this need in round 5"   that's a little naive.   Free agency is a huge part of building a championship roster.   Ask Rodgers how he feels about most of his career being wasted on a team who refused to sign free agents, meanwhile he got to watch Brady win a bunch with new stud FAs all the time.

It's a nice theory, but not reality.

https://www.nfl.com/news/top-undrafted-rookie-free-agents-following-the-2021-nfl-draft  Some guys on this list I would like to have, if they don't like the team that initially chose them. Sedarius Hutcherson, Darius Sills, Paris Ford, Marlon Williams and Mustafa Johnson

You just know that guy took a load of crap in school

Players were signing with NE for less money to get a chance at a SB Ring. We do not have that luxury here. Heck I doubt many will come here now unless we offered top dollar! Big Difference if you ask me......

One of my sleepers at corner for the upcoming season is Elijah Riley. Schwartz put him in the slot, but I think he really fits as an outside corner in a cover two scheme. He doesn't have great measurables, but his college tape showed that he could thrive in a zone scheme.

The kid clearly has some ability since they kept him on the roster, and the scheme change could really benefit him.

I know I have said it before, but I would rather see the Eagles see what they have at corner rather than spending free agent dollars on what is left on the market. And, if they can find a decent starter across from Slay, they could focus the draft next year on safety and LB, which are two positions that are much more important in this scheme.

No we draft other positions and then covert them to LB... got us another S going to LB and an edge rusher going LB whoooooo

See what we have at corner...and bring in every young prospect to find a fit. Like how we found Fulgham last season. Got a great opportunity for young guys to try out in our system. Cycle guys through to find a suitable option. If nothing else you find your quality future depth.

Of coarse this is after drafting two LB last year

Players wanted to come here for less after the SB, but we couldn't sustain anything. Very pathetic

https://www.nfl.com/stats/player-stats/   🤣 UGH, I don't see how Hurts can do any worse. Even a BOLD MOVE up to 30 would be nice lol. 50 sacks for 326 yards lost(aka 3 + football fields). If you just fall down when you get the ball, you can do better than that

Well, GB has more rings than we do. So we shouldn't make jokes when we have nothing to back us up lol.

Also, Rodgers got upset starting with the drafting of Love. Previous 15 years he was fine......

Had him on my mock.  Was hoping we'd grab him with one of our day 3 picks.

I flirted with him in day 3 also. IDk if someone called him and he's not signed yet,or if he is still out there floating around

He went undrafted.  Signed by Buffalo afterward.

Been reading up on our different pick ups... Newman is an interesting case way to early projections thought he could have snuck into round 1 if he played. Of course he opted out had to go off his wake film and he went undrafted.

"Pro Football Focus stat about how the only player in 2019 who had more touchdowns thrown into tight windows (14) than Newman was Joe Burrow.”

This also an interesting stats line not to say Newman will be successful but I do think this is an area lot of young QB struggle with early on adjusting to the nfl throwing windows.  Guys aren’t going to be as wide open as they were in college the windows will be smaller and shorter and you have to have the confidence to throw those balls in them.

I wanted Franks-cannon arm, but Newman will do as QB3 for now

IDK... IMO Revis, Talib and Gilmore ... more so talent than knowing how to use them.      " Go cover that dude"   seems like a pretty good way to use those guys.    Not sure you could just do the same with Maddox, Le Blanc ...etc.
