This also an interesting stats line not to say Newman will be successful but I do think this is an area lot of young QB struggle with early on adjusting to the nfl throwing windows.  Guys aren’t going to be as wide open as they were in college the windows will be smaller and shorter and you have to have the confidence to throw those balls in them. 

But he wasn’t very good at just accurately hitting the open guy if I remember. Maybe it’s a footwork or mechanical thing that can be fixed. Worth giving him a shot. He’s pretty athletic.

No clue tape is from 2019. He definitely has accuracy concerns never stated he didn’t

    Replay of XXXVII but Brady vs Rodgers instead of Johnson vs Gannon?  

    Would be crazy considering current Raiders HC Gruden was HC of the Bucs then after having just been traded from the Raiders.

    At this point, not sure where he could go?  SF and LA don't seem like options.   To me Denver would seem the ideal place that would look to get him.   Maybe the Raiders? 

    Will be interesting,  if I had to guess... he probably stays.

      You talking about the NFC championship game vs. TB? I was there also!  Sapp played like a man possessed.... Was crushed after that game....

    Killed us in SO many ways. Like Juervecus 1 catch 71 yards(ugh) and Alstott had like 20 carries for 30 yards,but they were all first downs lol

      I went to Alstotts house a few years back. My friend did some work on it..... Of course he was not there.....

    Speaking of FBs I was always wonder about Leonard Weaver and what he might have done with us if he never got hurt.

    2010 seemed like he was poised for an increased role in our offense possibly the 3rd down back. Of course first play for him vs GB ends his career sadly and we never find out.

    I got to meet Runyan, Avant, Akers and Detmer in Hawaii when we(I was married then) went to the 2006 pro bowl. Ended up later having dinner with Detmer/Akers at Benihana. Very cool!!! I REALLY wanted to meet Westbrook lol. The wife met Manning(peyton). I missed him,I was in the restroom at the PB at 1/2 time(sheesh). I was a HUGE LT fan also,but never got to meet him either-GRRRR

    Back when they let players play,great time as a fan to watch the hits and match up battles Before they Pu**iefied it all and made everything about money. See? T.O. was a bit of a "bad boy" and we need that back, but no we want only alter boys
