The reality is going to be a tough one for you.... never had to go through what the fans of Marian Campbell or pre Dick Vermeil had to endure.   It's easy to see this mindset coming from your experience.... or in experience.    Love that optimism... just curious though.... 2023 ... wondering which of Cox, Graham, Kelce, Brooks, Lane, Slay, McCloud, Hargrave, Mailata, Goedert, Sweat, Barnett ... would still be on the roster in 2023.    Wondering which QB leads us to the playoffs in 2023?     I mean, we can anoint Sanders and Devonte Smith ... but just curious even with those guys (Who I think is a stretch to consider them top impact guys)  who is there to compliment them in 2023?    Yes there will building of this roster.... but I think the losing of good old players here is something that will be of huge impact.   Cox and Graham to me.... I think they are very much underrated by our fanbase, or taken for granted.  2023 if either are still here and playing at the top level that we have been used to, we will be very very fortunate.

Joe again you going round and round with the same exact thing over and over and over and over. I get it you think the dark days are coming.

SO why then is Watson a "top 5" QB but Wentz is not?????

Because he’s so much better. Short version anyway. This 2019 season that Wentz lovers brag about with him...he still threw for less yards and a lower completion percentage than Watson. Then last year Watson threw for 4,823 yards with a 70.2 completion percentage 33 TDs with 7 interceptions. Just blowing away the numbers fans try to use of how great Wentz is/was. Like every single category. This isn’t even taking into account how dynamic Watson is on the ground.

ATL week 1 get to see Pitts up close and personal

Did the Texans make the playoffs

LMFAO like CNN who has lied for 5 years straight? BWAAAAAAHAHAHAHA. Anyway yes YOU INITIATED this(AGAIN!!!)_ and I am done with it. You said you would never do it again(bring up politics on here) so you LIED again. You have future on CNN

All the main stream media is pumping an agenda. My point of view is you both are buying the crap their selling you. So there...put the target on my back as an independent who is pissed at the whole system. We’ve screwed it all up. So many get caught in this Democrat versus republican bs. The real people in charge stay the same every year. Their agenda happens regardless of political party. They fund both sides most of them.

ATL will play Pitts vs our LB's lol. They can pretty much do that at will

Saints were flat.

I think we were very energized by the nonPrimma Donna taking over. Our team was ready to kick some butt that day. We still only managed to barely hold on to victory because of the talent difference. But we came out of the gates on fire unlike most of the time ....other than 2017.

I graded the OL... with an S.    S = suck. Because let's not pretend they didn't suck.   Like I said about the Superbowl and KC.  The 3 sacks were not the issue... the 29 hurries were.

We shall see this year...  and get a better understanding after a full year of Hurts and a full year of Wentz away from this team.    I think it's obvious what the outcomes are going to be, but let's wait.  Eagles have the easiest schedule... it's all set up on a tee for Hurts and his intangibles and PFF's favorite OL.   Let's roll.

Yes, the Oline didn’t pass block reliably. That’s key. Wentz and hurts probably rushed throws or took off when they actually had time sometimes. Because there was no trust in the Oline.

As for everything setup on a T for Hurts. That’s ridiculous. A first time HC....that I don’t really even believe in much. Think they hired him just to keep Wentz. This team needs to gel and grow. Nothing setup on a tee. It’s all right there to go get and get there...but it will take time. Most reasonable are expecting it to take a least two seasons.

Play Pitts vs anybody we have and we are in trouble. Ridley also. Julio I don’t even have to mention what kind of matchup nightmare he is for us.

Stop with Nick Foles in 2018. He sucked.    They rushed Wentz back because he sucked.  Then vs the Rams the defense turned the ball over for 3 short drives where he got to hand off for TDs.   His one good game Houston was missing 3/4 of their starting secondary.

Double drink was the highlight of 2 bad offensive games in the playoffs.  This is part of the problem with our fan base living in fantasy land.  You gotta use your eyes and understand luck.  Like the Saints game last year when they came out flat.

When you play a top defense big points aren’t expected..,or needed. Foles wasn’t Superman. Yet ....we turned things around...as a team(you know that crucial part) with Foles. Went from a team not making the playoffs to a team that did make the playoffs. Then won a playoff game against the top defense and better team. Then really were right there to win another playoff game and be in the NFC Chsmpionship game if not for Alshon’s flop.

The Falcons were 4-12 last year for a reason. This is a great game for us because it allows our young offense to have pretty much a preseason game against possibly the worst defense in the league. Their offense is obviously really good, but this is a lot of doom and gloom for May.

Look at last year's defense versus our projected defense this year. The dline is that same and we are replacing Gerry and Riley with Singleton and Wilson at linebacker, which is a huge upgrade. I like the combo of Epps and Harris at safety until McLeod is healthy, and we should be much better at slot and CB2 regardless of who end up there.

At CB2, our worst case scenario is Craig James, who is probably as good as Rasul Douglas. So our options this year (bring in a veteran, someone wins the job in training camp or we start James) all result in us being much better than we were last year with Maddox.

But he threw for less yards then Wentz in 2019 less Tds and more ints and had Hopkins one of if not the best WR in football.

Hell 2020 Watson still had 1000 yard WR in Brandon Cooks

Exactly right. ATL had a good offense last year and were worse than us. It’s about a whole team to get the victory.

2019 stats

Carson Wentz 4039 yards 27-7

Watson 3852 yards 26-12

Yes but this is Wentz great season. Watson been throwing for over 4,000 the whole time. Always eclipsing that completion percentage. So Watson’s down year he had better completion percentage than Wentz big year. Only threw for like 300 less yards. Had a few more interceptions. But we are talking Watsons bad versus Wentz best. It’s not even far off.

SO word has it there is "good news" on the Watson front and that we are still interested(depending on the outcome)

You are assuming their D will be as bad as last year?. Ryan will kill us with his receivers, and face it, we aren't good at playing catch up. It will be an interesting game

With a higher completion percentage...like always. Yep, that’s the gap between Watson’s down season and Wentz best.

We do have a pass rush. One big shot on Ryan and they are in trouble

We need them to answer that bell if we want to win it. I just feel we will be overwhelmed. On the + front, they have a new coach also, so there's that. Battle of the rebuilds

We are taking Watson with Dhop and Wentz with who????

If we are talking Wentz best it’s 2017 you know the year he should have been MVP broke franchise record for Tds in what 13 games with 33.

And what is the best way to slow all ATL receivers? Run the ball. Time of possession. Basically what should be our gameplan and we should be good at.

You think they can stop us? I’m not scared of their defense.

IDK,I think Smith was expecting to go to the Gnats. He didn't look thrilled when we picked him. Of course he says he is "all in" for us now,but at the time,I think he was disappointed(just reading body language). I just see Pitts lining up everywhere while we have no answers for him. I hope I'm wrong
