Welp if we drafted Dickerson to be a C, I can't see him going in as a starting G and risking injury before he is actually ready. Would rather piece meal him in after the bye week at G a few plays and maybe at C in garbage time to get his feet wet. We're not contending this year, why risk it? A few plays to keep the rust off is all I want to see. Increasing possibly as the year wears on. The BIG re-build will be next year. Let's keep these young guys healthy, let them learn behind their appointed mentors. There is no rush this year,so give them snap counts and experience so they are ready to roll next year. If he seems ahead of schedule before the bye, then let him play a few snaps here and there, but I want to avoid getting him hurt since there is no need to do it

The guy was a near first rounder. Now you want that guy to ride pine? Nah...that guy needs to be out there. I don’t want to rush him back. But he should be on track to be good. Can’t not play a rookie because you worried playing football he might get hurt.

Let’s not forget Driscoll. He really showed well last season.

Still feel he will end up being better suited at G when it’s all said and done. But for now yea can be a decent option

Right let's rush him back,so when Kelce retires we have noone. Where are you playing him???? He was drafted as our next C. So you say not to rush him back, but he needs to play, which is it? You can't have it both ways. We rushed Jones back, how did that turn out?

Was he drafted to be our next C? It’s been said he can play all across the Oline. Seems most likely he plays G in my opinion. Get him next to Kelce. No one says rush him back. We didn’t rush Jones back.

MUCH too early. If HR can surprise us w/ a CB, we may surprise ourselves.

SO, you're saying basically they same thing I said earlier I assume a round 1 guy who fell into round at as the TOP CENTER was the reason we drafted him????? Play him a little at G to keep the rust off, but yeah we drafted him to replace Kelce. Seems a bit odd to me though how tall he is, but he makes it work at C

We must have, he never completed a season for us https://www.nfl.com/players/sidney-jones/stats/ 8 games started over 2 seasons(fail)

Oh he’s massive ....in every way. Guy played huge college ball and dominated. He should be ready to roll as soon as he’s fully healthy. Don’t want to rush him back...but the timeline should be around week one. So however he looks by that time. I expect he’ll get in some good practice time at TC even. But yeah...I think get him going at G this year. Let him be side by side with Kelce. Learn from the best. But I’m getting him action at both G spot and C. I want to find his best most natural position. He’s a key piece of the plan going forward.

That futures contracts guy from Auburn. Gotta get some competition in here. Can’t have the HC preach endlessly about competition and just give a zero experienced guy the job at P. Got to be consistent. I know that nobody really cares about that position. But he’ll likely be used a good amount.

I believe the pick was very telling about what Siri plans to do. He wants to be similar to the Niners. Big bruising running attack. More so than finesse and speed.

A story on Trevon Grimes.

Personally, I think this guy is going to be converted to a tight end. He had a TE number for rookie training camp (47) and he just doesn't seem to have wr traits that he needs. Here is a look at his reps from the senior bowl.

Trevon Grimes Every Senior Bowl 1-on1 Rep - YouTube

There are some good reps, but way too many bad ones. He catches the ball too close to his body instead of reaching out and snatching it, which allows the DB to break up the passes. He has a big size advantage, but doesn't use it to shield the defender. I think his best shot is to sit on the PS for a year and put on 20 pounds, and then compete for a move TE spot next year.

Pederson believes in Hurts and stated he thinks his thumb injury kept him from showing his best.

He played every line position, C is his natural position. Why do we try to change people?

Competition at punter really is not a "thing" for me. Either you can kick or you can't

I disagree. As I said he can be used like Pitts was. Obviously not the talent Pitts has,but he can play anywhere on the field. Inside the 20 put him outside and let him run an inside slant/ crossing pattern

Because he’s the guy that actually knows

But really I just think Pedey is a pretty positive dude. Can’t really remember him saying anything negative about anybody.
