He already had the bats*** crazy MAGA thing down on his own. The benefit of a sentient slice of Wonder Bread like Pence was that he added a semblance of calm and seriousness to the campaign. Plus the evangelical vote. MTG would be redundant. *disclaimer, I'm not saying that Trump does anything rationally or with foresight. So sure, this could happen.
December 14, 20222 yr Sorry guys, I just REFUSE to even speculate that Trump, MTG, or any of these gooks will be relevant in the next election. There has got to be some accountability. Can you imagine if Clark had been installed as AG and things turned out differently than they did between J6 and the 20th? My God. I don't know about you, but I'm done letting them have any sort of spotlight to lies and conspiracy. SILENCE them. Please.

He might even get more EC votes than he did in 2020. He will be very, very relevant. He's not going away until he's dead.

A nice conspiracy to commit murder charge would be excellent.
December 19, 20222 yr The Select Committee received a standing ovation from the crowd after they voted to refer Trump to the DOJ for possible criminal charges and issue their report. Trump is in deep do do without a paddle. Jan. 6 committee refers former President Trump to Justice Department for criminal prosecution https://www.latimes.com/politics/story/2022-12-19/house-jan-6-panel-expected-to-urge-justice-department-to-prosecute-trump The referral of a former president to the Justice Department for criminal charges is a first in American history. In addition to recommending Trump’s prosecution for insurrection, the committee voted on three other charges against him: obstruction of an official proceeding of Congress, knowingly and willfully making materially false statements to the federal government and conspiracy to defraud the United States.

December 20, 20222 yr Quote The executive summary of the committee's final report states that it asked multiple election conspiracists -- including John Eastman, Michael Flynn, Jenna Ellis, and Phil Waldron -- for evidence of election fraud and that "all invoked their Fifth Amendment privilege against self-incrimination" in response. In addition to this, former Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani acknowledged to the committee that he did not buy claims that Dominion Voting Systems' machines had stolen the election from Trump, and his ally Bernard Kerik acknowledged that "it was impossible... to determine conclusively whether there was widespread fraud or whether that widespread fraud would have altered the outcome of the election." In sum, writes the committee in the executive summary, "Not a single witness--nor any combination of witnesses--provided the Select Committee with evidence demonstrating that fraud occurred on a scale even remotely close to changing the outcome in any State." it's almost as if they all knew they were full of sheet.

Eastman is a big target as the originator of the plan, but I have to wonder how Stone, Bannon, and Jones were involved. I believe Stone orchestrated with the leadership of the Proud boys to prepare to storm the Capitol with other groups. I believe Bannon and Jones helped to incite them. These guys should not escape for their crimes.

Doesn't pleading the fifth require that what you're refusing to answer could be self incriminating? Are they saying then that the evidence of fraud they refuse to testify on would incriminate them?

Are they saying then that the evidence of fraud they refuse to testify on would incriminate them? Well the good news is, in front of the Federal Grand Jury, A Federal Judge can compel testimony or put that person in Jail for refusing to answer. This is more likely to happen with non incriminating questions. Like, DOJ Attorney: Mr. Eastman, do you believe Biden won the election. Eastman has to answer, if the question isn't incriminating. He Can't take the 5th over that one. A Judge can compel his testimony.
