On Thursday, the hearing will move to another pressure campaign — Trump’s efforts to have Justice Department officials declare the election corrupt, and a scheme within the department to go after states to change the results. Former acting Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen, who took over after Barr resigned, and his deputy, Richard Donoghue, will testify about how they successfully resisted that pressure.

The two hearings after that, expected to cover domestic extremism and Trump’s actions inside the White House, will be held in July. And they may not be the last before the panel issues final reports later this year.

"We are picking up new evidence on a daily basis with enormous velocity,” said Maryland Rep. Jamie Raskin, a member of the committee. "And so we’re constantly incorporating and including the new information that’s coming out.”

Another panel member suggested they could still subpoena Pence — it's "certainly a possibility,” said California Rep. Adam Schiff.

"We would still, I think, like to have several high-profile people come before our committee,” Schiff said.

When in doubt, blame it on a staffer and claim you had no idea any of it was going on. Because, ya know, staffers usually go rogue and engage in submitting false electors of their own accord without any direction whatsoever from their superiors.

Wasted my whole day waiting in a room to see if I got called in to serve on a jury instead of wasting it posting in here.  Thanks a lot, Founding Fathers.

I wonder if he has better luck than Kamala. She got discounted and then rescheduled later.

That must suck. I know people who got sucked into that.

Been quite lucky myself.

If someone drove to jury duty drunk would they send them home??

Never had jury duty, but I consider it a civic duty and would be happy to serve.

I feel like people who live in bigger cities have a much better chance of being picked because there’s often multiple levels of court systems that need potential jurors.

Let me know how it works out.

Me either but I know other who've been hit multiple times. Some even had to go into Philly. 🤮

That works. I'll take any excuse to go to Philly.

I've been on a jury twice and have to report again next month.

I ended up getting permanently banned from r/socialism the last time I had jury duty. ☹️

So what was the big revelation Schiff was alluding to? Must have missed it.

Yeah I figured it was along those lines.

btw - I’ve run some google searches for "bald hippy” so I now have a clearer picture of what mid life you looks like. Must say I was not impressed.

That’s how I always felt too before I got called. I was living in a small town in a rural county at the time. Ended up being selected and actually served as the jury foreman on a very high profile local case involving a police officer that was using his status and power to take advantage of young girls. Listened to 3 days of girls testifying about the various ways that he abused them and pressured them. After that experience, I feel like I have performed my civic duty and should not have to serve again for a very long time.

I don’t remember exactly when I served, but I know it was over 12 years ago and I still get random images of the girls on the stand or thoughts about whether he’s still locked up to this day.

The main theme Schiff hammered home is that Trump didn’t accept his loss in the election.  Instead he tried to stay in power.  They’ve actually put forth a lot of evidence of how he tried to stay in power if you’ve been paying attention.

Sure, some supporting material. The big stuff we already knew.

i've been on 3 juries...car accident where the guy sued seeking injury damages even though he's playing racquetball & golf a couple times a week...a guy on trial for robbing a pizza shop he used to work for....and foreman of the jury where i got to read the guilty verdicts to some creepy pervo who sexually abused a minor.

but i did manage to get out of it a few months ago when i received a letter to report.
