Brady would have been incredible with that 2016 roster. He would have had a top 5 RB core, top 3 TE score and a top 3 OL. We had no WRs, but we would have gotten veteran FAs on the cheap to play with Brady. Moreover, our defense was top 10 in 2016. 2016's defense had everything except for CBs.

If he gets a yellow version of that hat to go with his yellow suit and he could get on the cover of a childhood classic.  A lot on fashion, but most everyone spends money on a wardrobe for their first job out of college and he is in the entertainment business and likely to get some endorsements so that could actually be a bit of an investment.  Spent more than that on charity. Seems level headed.

I'm just being a grump.  I have nothing against Hurts the guy, he seems like you said totally level headed and has good intentions.

The protection was for the days before today. Someone in theory could have signed him Tuesday or Wednesday if he wasn't protected.
