In hindsight. Lots can go wrong on a pass play, likely more than on a FG try. Strip sack, tipped ints, even an incompletion stops the clock. Gotta imagine running the ball, bleeding 40 secs, and kicking a chip shot is the higher probability play but I could be wrong.

It was 28/7 with like 2 minutes left in the 3rd. It was garbage time.

Not that it matters, but the Raiders will be a beatable team next week.

The issue is that you aren't going to move the ball with Hurts, against almost anyone, unless the opposing defense is either sleeping on a lead or is pulling a bend-but-don't-break with the underneath stuff.  So even against the worst teams, you are going to have to rely on a close game aided by getting lucky on some broken plays.  At best, that probably gives them a 50% win probability against the bottom feeders on the schedule...but I do think they'll top 4 wins.

I won’t make excuses or anything for poor performances, but to say they only made it close because of garbage time isn’t true. Eagles almost pulled off a comeback, it wasn’t any garbage time stats.

Don't blame the taunting call.

It would have been 2nd and 7 after that play.  After the penalty, TB ran for no gain on first down, so we had them at 2nd and 10.

Basically same scenario just farther down the field.  Still had an opportunity to stop them there.
