We better better get that 1st because as I tried to say last year, Hurts is a MAJOR downgrade over Wentz. He has stinkers and fumbles to much but he can win you games. Hurts can't.

Huh? Asking the OL to run block more or to incorporate more designed QB runs would somehow equate to that? You’re nuts.

Hurts stunk tonight, and the Eagles were absolutely right to pass a ton against that secondary. But over the course of the season, we haven’t put Hurts in a position to develop. Instead were asking him to be something he’s not.

That’s on Howie and Co.

It’s hilarious to me that were even having this discussion. I always defended a pass heavy attack with Wentz and people whined incessantly about the pass-run ratio. Now that we have a raw, developmental QB, people are all like "Gotta develop the QB.”

(Not you) I am for running the ball more but not in this game. Some people are acting like oh yeah we knew we could run against Tampa Bay going into this game and we should’ve run more. that’s a bunch of BS. Heading into this game Tampa Bay was number one against the run and were on pace to be an all-time run defense. So the game plan of throwing it made a lot of sense because they were down to the bare minimum corners and the run defense is elite.

we have to watch the all 22 to see how many of these plays were actually open receivers and could have worked tonight with the game plan they had. But I know on the interception Jalen Hurts threw if he went through his progressions Jalen Reagor on the right seam was wide open for an easy completion. It would’ve been a big play

Sirianni needs to get with the program and start running the ball more but I don’t think tonight was the night you were going to ask him to start doing that with that run defense.

After 3 seconds he should be looking to run, Brady gets rid of the ball in about 2.5 seconds.

And that was one shaky pocket tonight.

Hurts broke clean pockets way earlier than 3 seconds tonight. He has very little feel for it.

Conspiracy time. Sirianni wants nothing to do with Hurts being his QB so is calling plays, all passes at that, which he knows Hurts can’t complete. Ultimate sabotage.

My thoughts of why they aren't running is because they want to take this season to evaluate Hurts as a passer.

Otherwise it makes no sense.  Why else would you be a pass happy offense with a QB that can't pass?

Nick is stuttering A LOT in this PC

He’s choking back saying "our QB is killing us - I can’t call anything I want to because he can’t even do the most basic things. Give me even a competent QB and then judge me.”

but he can’t so he fumbles with some non answer to that slop.

Yup.

Even Lamar Jackson needed to throw to win last Monday.

O. OK.

This was actually a good call by Gannon.

McLeod did a nice job jumping the route.  But Brady paused and threw to Brown in the next window.  Even then, Epps had a chance to make a play.  Better players = better results.

Sirianni said he kicked the FG on 4th and 10 because it was 4th and 10. Either he doesn’t trust Hurts at all or he’s a coward

Do you trust Hurts on 4th & 10?

Anyone wanna agree with me now officiating is a problem?

Bad call. We aren’t a dime team.

More than I trust him down by 11 at best midway through the 4th quarter

The officiating wasn’t nearly as bad as it was on that check swing strike three call to end the giants/dodgers series.

I didn't watch that. I did watch a int called incomplete. And I saw Tampa given a clinching Bs first down late in the game.

I guess it's my fault for keeping giving it another shot.

Sirianni really needs to develop some type of counter punch

Didinger and Barkann might be the worst people to listen to about football. Total pass for me.

I find it purely amazing that they don’t realize that Tampa Bay had the number one rush defense. not just this year but also last year. Add on they are currently on pace in a 17 game season to set the new record.

you can say whatever you want but The two teams that gave Tampa Bay the best run for their money were the Rams and the Cowboys. In week one Dallas threw the ball 77% of the time.  And if not for Brady’s heroics should’ve won that game. And it was effective because the Tampa Bay Buccaneers pass defense is bad due to injuries. The Rams game it is very deceiving. Because the Rams got up 31 to 14 and that’s when the ram started running the ball. Before they got up 17, the rams called 33 pass plays to 12 run plays. After that point the rams called 10 run plays to 5 pass plays (not including Stafford kneel downs).

do the eagles need to run the ball more? That is an obvious answer and it’s a yes. However you were not going to start running the ball more against that run defense. Eagles had some success running the ball late in that game. I am not so sure if Tampa Bay just thought the game was over when they got up 21 points and gave up some yards against the run thinking it would eat up some of the clock and took their foot off the gas a little.

But let’s go full circle if the Eagles start of the game running the ball and had absolutely no success doing it because Tampa Bay was stout the  you would’ve heard them say why are you running the ball because they’re the number one rush defense and they’re on historic is why would that be your game plan.

HE DID IT!

To be honest last year we said we needed to bench Carson Wentz to see if it was doug‘s offense that was the problem or if they were to get better if they put Jalen hurts out there. We’re getting close to the same point and same decision that we need to make to see if we put a different quarterback out there if the offense runs smoother and is sustainable. Unfortunately last year I thought the offense after the first two weeks against the Saints and the Cardinals began to revert back to what we had seen for most of the year.

I’m guessing the offense is still not gonna be very good because they’re issues with our coaching/play calls. but also we don’t have a quarterback that I would say is good enough to consistently move the ball and win more Than a handful of games in the NFL. This brings us to the point of why Jeffrey lurie and the eagles were rumored to be involved with multiple QBs this offseason and even into the season.
