HE DID IT!

It is the same thing. No production over the middle of the field.  All these pass charts show it from week to week This is a major reason why this offense is broken and the lack of good playcalling/utilizing the run game.   If he can't work the middle of the field, they need to make a QB change.

Sucks, but we probably aren’t making a QB unless he gets injured. So hopefully he just gets better.

I was watching the Scouts feed audio instead of Troy and Buck. They kept saying how predictable Hurts is at just rolling to his right even when the pocket is good. They kept saying he bails  putting his eyes down and watching the rush, then he rolls right.

Weren't the Bucs playing two backup CBs tonight?

The issue with putting his eyes down is missing open receivers, then going right and throwing the ball a second late.  He has zero pocket awareness, which is the problem with most running QB’s, and the worst part is they don’t even realize that it’s a problem.  Randall, Vick, McNabb and Lamar all have a big advantage over Hurts, much better arms, being late doesn’t affect them so much.

Sherman was their 2nd string and the starter on the other side was also out,  so was Antoine Winfield their safety

Sirianni really needs to develop some type of counter punch

His entire playbook only has 3 running plays because it’s all that he uses, and the stupid screens that the entire NFL is keyed on, but I guess he’ll keep calling it until Hurts throws a quick pick 6.

Every single person that has played in the NFL and commentates on the Eagles games says Siriani needs to run more, the only people against it probably have never played football in their life.  It’s not that difficult to understand, and no one is saying the Eagles need to be 70-30 pass to run, although Roob has a stat that in the first half of the last 5 games, the Eagles are 88-12 pass to run ratio and that’s unacceptable. It’s how you beat up their defensive line so in the 4th quarter you as an O linemen aren’t struggling because everything hurts, even to breathe. Some rushes are only gonna get 1-2 yards, but your O Linemen also got a break, they were the hammer instead of the Fing nail!!
Having a 300 lb tackle or 270lb end all night, in your chest and face pushing you backwards sucks!!   It one of the best, easiest things to do to improve morale for a few plays.

I don’t know if we consistently keep going down this road where we don’t see improvements from Jalen Hurts week to week then I think the Eagles are eventually going to put Gardner Minshew out there. 4 out of the last 5 weeks hurts has had a lot of the same problems.

the Eagles at some point have to say we know hurts isn’t improving at the quarterback position  and looking like he isn’t the guy going forward.  But we also need to know if Siriani is the coach to be here in the future for the next quarterback and see if his offense is able to at least look functional for more than a quarter of the game with another quarterback

6 of his 12 completions were at the Line, or behind it, just awful for anyone believing the Eagles had this great chance to win today. It was the penalties that moved the ball as much as it was Hurts. The Bucs were penalized 7 times for 120 yards. Hurts passing yards on the day were 115, lol.

I’m rewatching the game right now. The more and more I sit here and watch, the more and more my belief grows that lurie and howie are going to sell the farm to get their franchise QB. That may not be what everyone wants to hear but this quote a couple months after they drafted wentz and watching some of these games this season along with tons of rumors this offseason make me feel strongly that’s coming if hurts doesn’t turn it around

Because in the NFL, it’s the one position you can’t just go get. And so when you have an opportunity, you’ve gotta take your shot, and you’ve gotta be bold. Otherwise, if you say to yourself, 'you know, it is probably a 50-50 shot that maybe the quarterback will be really good,' you can't let that deter you. So that’s how I look at it: You either have a really good QB and you compete for the Super Bowl, or you don’t and you are probably not competing for the Super Bowl. And that’s simple

Well now it's the Flyers turn to save my week lol

Sirianni is conning the Eagles ever week he gets a paycheck. It’s a giant scam. He has no idea what he’s doing. I honestly think he is the worst coach in NFL history.

The fans at the stadium are trolling him with "run the ball” signs and sarcastic cheers when they do. Miles Sanders is even sarcastically doing the the first down signal every time get gets one. It’s a big joke all around. If he hadn’t lost the team and locker room before tonight, he sure did after it.

I don’t know I watch the 2018 Cardinals living out here and that was by far the worst coaching I’ve ever seen. They were only competitive in 7 of their 16 games. And the Eagles are gonna win more than 3 games simply because they’re going to play some bad teams in their final 11 games. If the Eagles struggle with teams like the Jets, the lions, giants and WFT then you might be onto something. Has the coaching been good? No. But having watched that 2018 Cardinals team closely that was by far the worst coaching I’ve seen in the last 20 years. It’s why they canned their HC after the first year and went 3-13 and took murray and traded Rosen away.

Who are we trading for though? Watson apparently won’t waive his no trade clause to come here and that’s only the tip of the iceberg with his entire situation. Russell Wilson is getting older, I’m not a fan of trading 3 1sts and more for 3 years of his declining play. ARod isn’t coming here. We’re officially in QB purgatory and after the trade deadline it will be QB hell. No QBs are worth a top pick in this upcoming draft and next year looks rather bleak as well. This team couldn’t be further away from competing if they just set up shop tomorrow.

The Eagles currently have no coach and no QB and nothing is going to change until they find at least one of those, if not both.

And neither are easy to find obviously.

So, fun times all around.

We had both until Howie made one of the stupidest second round picks of all time and blew everything up.

Maybe some of the players need to call him out with this BS.

They must be getting so frustrated

We’re so predictable, not quite sure how Siri is getting away with this crap

theh are going to find a way to trade for one who is on the market or they’re going to trade up or select one wherever they’re picking. People forget there were a lot of people who did not think Carson Wentz was nearly as good as the draft class before with Marcus Mariota and Jameis Winston. There were a lot of people on this board who did not want to trade up to get Carson Wentz. And the Eagles did it anyway. If the Eagles identify one of those college quarterbacks that they absolutely love they will go and try to move heaven and earth to get that quarterback especially with the assets they have acquired.  that’s not saying that’s what I would do but knowing the Eagles organization and how they view things there is a strong possibility that is what they’re going to do. I don’t see them staying idle for another off-season kicking the can down the road to get a franchise quarterback.

Siri is probably the biggest issue right now. His play calling is dire, his team aren't disciplined.

I would argue sirianni and hurts are equal at the biggest issue right.

They might be... But we don't know because Hurts isn't being helped out by the atrocious play calling. And so I can't say Hurts is the biggest issue because it is impossible to determine.

It's not coaching when you underthrow a wide open WR. Just saying.

No it isn't. But the offense lacks any kind of fluency and any kind of creation. Its the same thing over and over and over. Siri is not helping Hurts or even helping to assess Hurts.

He’s putting it all on hurts, if someone is under so much pressure to make something happen every single play, they’re going to make mistakes.

at least with a decent running game it takes some of that pressure away from the QB

Used to think Doug hated the run game .

I got a call at the start of the 4th quarter. Did they just make it better playing against garbage time prevent D or did they actually play better?

I don't know I didn't watch. I wasn't getting up at 1am to watch a team who let's be honest have just not been good and have not been fun to watch. I watched the game in 40 on Game Pass and even then at 28-7 I gave up.

So you got to see the Brady reversal on that interception. I pretty much gave up at that point. Call on the field was int. When you take 10 minutes to review I don't call that definitive evidence to overturn.

I don’t understand how you could think Siri is the problem after watching Hurts.

Ah. Now it makes sense. I didn’t think Hurts would get worse than last week, but somehow he did. 115 yards. Under 50% completion percentage. Even his completions look like a struggle.

This is such a weird feeling. I’m not even mad, I’m just perplexed by what’s going on from the top to bottom.

Howie has to go, think we can all mostly agree there. Lurie needs to stop meddling and let his employees do their jobs.

Sirianni is clearly not ready to be an NFL head coach. Gannon is the defensive version of Sirianni - two peas in a pod with those two.

We have a RB at QB who will stick his head into the o-lines back thinking there pressure, realize there isn’t and run backwards, then scramble like an idiot and take a loss all without even getting to his first read. He’s not even checking his first read every play. He rarely if ever makes it to his second read.

If we can replace all of the above, maybe we can turn this around before 2024. If not, it’s dark times for this team.

At the end of the first half? Yeah that was ridiculous. But hey its Brady so of course they reversed that decision.

Because it is impossible to assess Hurts, or any QB, when the play calling is so dam atrocious that's why. I'm not saying Hurts is the answer. After yesterday I certainly feel less confident than I was (and I wasn't entirely sold before) but Sirianni is the big issue here. He isn't just making rookie HC calls that could be excused. The whole thing is a mess.
