Collingsworth even mentioned that at some point. The DB was probably already unstable when he got there.

Did he?  I watched with the volume down and music on because I can’t stand Collinsworth.  Unusual for him because he sees DPI on it seems like every play where the WR doesn’t catch it or at least did in the past.  To the extent I could see the DB’s waist and below, his legs were in front of him and his butt down a bit.  That’s pretty clear sign he is likely on his heels and that was the way he moved. I don’t know if his hands on the receiver aren’t as much to try and prevent a catch as to also try and keep his balance.  I would check the All 22 on Tuesday but I can’t stomach watching any more of the cowpads or Brady.

That's what I mean though. Not bring in guys to help design an offense or play calling, just have someone experienced whose been there done that to help get him through the week and the behind the scenes preparation.

Makes sense, it definitely couldn't hurt. I would just make sure it isn't a coach with to big of an ego and tries to push Nick around.

I'm just glad that he is admitting to seeking advice, it will help him grow. Most are to pig headed and think they don't need any help. This is a great sign IMO

I don’t think so. If there was enough contact there to throw the DB off balance, then that would be illegal contact by the DB. I believe the DB was on his heals, which happens as you try to close on the WR but not enough extension for a push off to be called.  Too close to call OPI just like too close to call illegal contact on the DB.  You have to keep in mind how the camera focus and speed was as you were watching the replay.  You couldn’t really see the DB’s feet but the body language suggests they are in front of him, thus on his heels.

Yeah, I don't think that was OPI at all. There was a slight arm extension with very little force, not dissimilar to what Alshon Jeffery did on his touchdown catch in the Super Bowl.

Absolutely a correct call. Or to put it another way, if it had been called OPI, it would have been a worse officiating decision because it was so ticky-tacky.

That's a hell of a defensive front

This is why I was hoping they would bring in an experienced offensive consultant like McCoy or Wisenhunt

I like that he's at least asking for help though. Doug seemed stubborn as hell

He did.  The guy was off balance and was holding the DB's arm more than he was being pushed.

Some good news for us today

So we need Carson to play 75% of the snaps and hopefully the Colts finish with a losing record.

Also we need Miami and Tua to stink as well.

I'd love to get 3 picks in the first 15.

It think the chances that Miami sucks are relatively high

Yep. Might be the most overrated team in the league.

Indy, please run the ball as much as you can.

Why? They won 10 games last year and were a couple of plays away from 11 wins

Not saying they are great or anything but, no one in the division except the bills are much better then last year.

Patriots should be vastly improved over last year. Don't sleep on the Jets possibly being better than Miami as well...

Yea I wonder if Miami really overachieved last year. Fitzpatrick bailed them out of a few games

We traded out of #6 overall with them in this years draft so they could get Jaylen Waddle

Ive had this argument before if you took watson last year and put him on that Dolphins team they likely win 11-12 games. They lost 3 games they should have won like the Broncos directly because of bad QB play. It’s why i think their owner badly wants watson. I tend to think the 3 rookie olineman who were drafted high last year and started last year with no real offseason are gonna be better. They improved their weapons with waddle and fuller.

Defense might a regress a little but if it weren’t Tua at QB and they had someone like watson i think that team is a top 5 team in the afc. And if they somehow got watson could argue they’d have the best QB in the afc after mahomes and Allen (could make the argument watson has shown more over the last 3 years then allen to say Allen needs to prove it again this year). I think because it’s Tua it’s gonna hold them back cause I’m not a huge Tua fan even when he was at bama

I think this one is our best bet. Patriots may be back, Dolphins hard schedule. I can see a 7-10 season

I never liked Tua as a QB.  Good college player but no so sure about NFL.
