But what if there isn’t any good CBs available? The Eagles suck at evaluating and developing them anyway.

The draft is going to be loaded with top tier CB talent.  They should have their pick of the litter.

Yeah, its almost like they should bring in a new GM with a fresh perspective and he might have some connections to different scouts to consider...

or we could just stick with the current plan.

Howie will pick the runt in the 3rd round because he's good value.

He is a 2021 draft pick and 1 year at UCF.  How many highlights could he have?

I know, was trying to show that I understood that with saying he played 1 year and took a year off.  Point I was making is the plays they did show weren't good.  One play he's just covering the guy while #27 went vertical for a pass breakup and another play where they highlight him on a go route and he falls down and grabs the WR on the way down....they even showed that play twice.

and because the draft is so deep that good players will get pushed back.

Also gives you a whopping 0 in fantasy

obviously.  That's where the value is.

I know the game yesterday we depressing but we lost to the reigning Super Bowl champions by 6 points.  We had about 5-6 blatant PI calls not called, had an interception somehow overturned, threw for 115 yards, a punter who was shanking all night, horrible taunting call, and only had time of possession for 20:04.

Hurts drew that first one with a terrible pass

Didinger is as clueless as it gets.

But Reagor scores with a good pass.

What are the odds Howie had better offers earlier in the year?

Slim and none. Howie has always had a good sense of trade value.

He also wasn't going to trade Ertz to a team that wasn't a SB contender, so that limited suitors.

Adding Gowan won't effect draft decisions, that's basically driven by BPA in the early rounds. What will impact them is Gannon (v Schwartz) and the kind of players he likes. You can never have too much young depth.

I think all else being equal, they'll prioritize safety over CB, in Gannon's scheme you need more athletic safeties, but not sure any DB will be their first or second 1st rd pick, depends who is on the board, but DL will probably be a priority - Indy traded a 1st to land a young DT. If he plays a lot of cover 2, cover 3, quarters zone, then he doesn't need a top man coverage CB.

Need to see a replay of where the sideline was

Did you watch the video?

Ridiculously high.

I doubt it.  Ertz actually had a decent game last night so I'm guessing Arizona had some sort of offer on the table prior and likely sweetened the deal after last night's game and the Eagles went for it.   A lot of teams out there (probably) wanted to see Ertz actually perform well in a game (which he really hasn't since the beginning of last season) before making a legitimate offer.

Well we dont really know for sure about Siri unless we see another QB in his offense. We do know not running the ball is dumb, so yeah ok agreed. BUt I would give SIri more time to develop he is in his first year as HC, HUrts is in his second year as a QB in the NFL.

In order to tell if Siri's offense is dumb, or his play calling is dumb,  it would be nice to see another QB to see if his offense and play calling are a result of being forced to play a QB with a very limited skillset.

Bucs could have put 50 on us if they wanted to.  When it was 28-7, they were already on the plane back home.

No I'm sure they didn't expect to have a winning season. But for a lot of this year their offense  QB has looked clueless.

Nah.  35 likely.  But had the defense actually held them on that final drive, we could have come back and won the game.  The game was actually close until Tampa's final drive.

What does "and football guy" mean? I never heard of that credential. If you know anything about Diddy, hes a stats guy. Not an analyst. He has no idea anything about the offensive scheme. His football takes are as stupid as any of the worst TATE posters. He is a HOF writer because of his stats.

No, it really wasn't.

By my count, 2 more PI's that weren't called

A good writer, and I'm sure a good man, but for someone who has been watching football for 50 years, he isn't all that knowledgeable IMO.

So if the defense holds Tampa and the Eagles get the ball back and score a TD, they don't win the game?

he is right. I didnt think you were feeling this desperate to find support for your anti-Siri narrative. There seem to be a few posters here that agree. You stoop to the level of using R Diddy as confirmation of your bias? Thats like admitting you are wrong.
